WAS RB Brian Robinson shot multiple times during attempted robbery
Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson was shot during an attempted robbery on Sunday. The rookie back was reportedly shot multiple times, but appears to be in stable condition. The early reports are this is a non-life threatening injury, which is great to hear. There should be more details on this situation soon, but at least Robinson is in stable condition right now.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

Even if you were only shot multiple times with a .22 and still be in stable condition that would be a major deal, at least to me.
Be interesting to learn more details. |
I was shot once with a .22 and it was no big deal

I was acting like I was John Wayne with a lever action .22 and hit my foot when I was 13. Went right through my lace hole between my little toe and the next one. Surprisingly it didn’t hit a bone. Walked about a mile right after. It sucked because taking the gun out ass whoopin hurt worst than getting shot. LMAO

Just some dumb kid shit, I got lucky it wasn’t really bad. Cost me about a 3-4 weeks of football playing
|
Robinson was shot in the lower body, looks like a carjacking.
|
That's too bad. Glad he seems to be in ok shape

“Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. is in stable condition after being shot during a possible attempted carjacking in Washington, according to a D.C. police spokesman.
Robinson was shot twice and taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries believed not to be life-threatening.” |
Well I have a little bit of land behind my house and have killed many a critter there with my trusty .22 like many raccoons, possums a badger and even a coyote which I was astounded by. I didn’t even think I hit him he was so far away.
Anyone that think .22’s is a pussy gun I’ll meet you at the George Brett statue. |

You hope he makes a full recovery and gets to play in the league. Hope this becomes a great story with a happy ending. |
Just before I moved to Texas to manage the hog operation , one of the employees that lived on sight committed suicide by taking a .22 rifle and shooting himself in the chest multiple times. I guess his wife had cheated on him and he wanted to teach her a lesson.
|
**** people.
Hope he makes a full recovery. |
Must resist gallows humor pun.

His earning potential could be severely limited due to someone else’s crimes. He should be entitled to major compensation for this. |

I'd be lying if I said fantasy football ramifications weren't the first thing I thought of.
Once I found out it wasn't life-threatening, of course. |

Has Antonio Gibson been ruled out as a suspect?

Sean Taylor comes to mind certainly, but also former Oregon State star corner Dennis Weathersby, who got shot shortly before the draft in 2003. His wounds were non life-threatening but I don't think he ever fully recovered. He was a consensus 2nd rounder with a chance of going in the 1st, but post-shooting, dropped to the 4th round (98th overall) to the Bengals. Perhaps related to his gunshot wounds, he was only active for 4 games of his rookie season (one against the Chiefs), recorded no statistics because he probably didn't see the field, then was out of the NFL for good after that year.

Hope he makes a full recovery and gets back on the field. What a shitty welcome to the DC area for the kid.
As for .22s, they don't do a lot of damage, but they can be very lethal. Lot of people are killed with a .22 calkber firearm every year, and iirc someone actually killed a grizzly bear with one not that long ago. Luck or skill I don't remember, but it happened. Kid got a bit lucky, imo. Should've just let the dirtbags have the car instead of getting shot. |
Good thing he wasn’t in Reno
|
Yes he WAS
