Hey guys, we cool?

Hello everyone. Hope this thread finds you well.

Just wondering your thoughts on the game last night. I think the crew did a pretty good job calling the game. A few ticky tack calls could have been made for holding but I think overall the game had good flow. Naturally we had to stick to the "flags on big plays only" rule, but I think we managed to keep ourselves out of the game and allow you guys to play a heads up game.

Can't believe Samuel dropped that interception. Admittedly my crew missed the play, we were looking at some crazy looking guy dressed in all yellow stripped bibs who was spilling beer all over the place and screaming at the top of his lungs. He threatened to kill us if we didn't overturn it. And I ain't about to die, I bet the under. I've got a vacation coming up I want to be alive for.

It was an obvious call. He grabbed, held and then pulled. You can't let your emotions dictate what was and what wasn't a good call.

smithandrew051 09-16-2022 12:15 PM

How is your prep going for the Saints vs Buccaneers?

Is your flag throwing arm feeling good for anytime a Saint even touches Brady?

This game is why we put in the long hours at the gym. Some of us have been working with former MLB pitcher Greg Maddux to increase the velocity of our flag throwing and overall arm conditioning. I think you'll see it pay off this game.

On a related topic a few of us had issues hearing Tom tell us to throw flags last year. Rest assured, that's fixed. He now has a mic in his helmet and all refs league wide are required to have a hearing device surgically implanted in our skull.

Watch the first Chargers punt and tell me if it wasn't a block in the back, then watch several Chargers offensive plays with blatant holding. We can then talk about the Kelce Slam and Bosa's mock pulled to the ground cheap shot.... However, it's fun to hear all you guys say "if we only would have..."

Nothing wrong with Kelce's tackle. If you don't like violence, don't watch football.

Working with Greg Maddux for velocity?

Pinpoint accuracy... sure. Velocity? You may as well have Damon Huard working with you.

No kidding. Unless they are trying to throw a flag in someone's eye, this seems futile.

Can you throw 93? Because Maddux could. Obviously in today's MLB that's not that fast, but it's fast enough to get a flag from my pocket to Tom Brady's feet. My team has never struggled with accuracy, every call we make is accurate.

Team Fans (in Millions)
1. Dallas Cowboys 8.5
2. New England Patriots 7
3. Pittsburgh Steelers 6.3
4. Green Bay Packers 5.2

Are you ok with these fans making the majority of the decisions to challenges? If so, then I'd say go for it. If not, then maybe let us do our damn jobs.

So what's the story with John Hussey? Why does he say the word "penalty" like he's the offspring of Liberace and Richard Simmons (nttawwt)? Do you guys call him "Little Hussy" behind his back?

I thought the AWA style body slam of Travis warranted a unsportsmanlike penalty.
Thought the same about Bosa going after Sir Patrick's legs and then giving out a holding flag against the player blocking Bosa.
Other than those 2. Not bad officiating

He usually brags about his accurate calls more than anything. We don't pay him a ton of attention when he does, he's kind of a rambler.

Remember the Greg Maddux conversation? Yup, conditioning. Add that to some 1-1 yoga training sessions from Kay Adams and you have your answer.

Without a doubt. Ed Hochuli was known as Armold Schwarzenegger. Dude would take down players in arm wrestling on the regular. Last year he beat Suh on new years eve at this big party at Tom Brady's place, bunch of players and all the refs were there. Antonio brown started lipping off about Suh losing so Suh punched him in the head. The Bucs tried to cover it up and did so pretty well. 2 Days later they played the Jets and Brown lipped off to Suh again, Suh threatened to punch him again and Brown took off his pads and ran off the field. I think you all remember that.

Maybe we should get to know each other better. That might help with your anger issues and develop our relationship.

My name is The Refs. I enjoy working out. My favorite color is yellow. I have a dog named Thomas who is a good old boy. Something I'm proud of is that I have 20/20 vision. I am also trained by Greg Maddux and have developed a great friendship with him. Something I don't like is that I work weekends! Ugh!

We dont blame you. Our special teams lost us this game.

But the Chris Jones call was a pussy flag. Players talk shit ALL the time after most plays. It’s an intense, competitive violent sport.

If Tom Brady does exactly what Jones did today (and he has several times) you ‘refs’ keep the flag in your pocket.

You know it, he knows it, we all know it.
