Will also be serving 25-life in prison. Still too lenient imo.

Wallcrawler 09-17-2022 02:43 PM

Fines like this are hilarious. That's like my boss fining me a nickel for telling him to take his head out of his ass.

Fines should be on a percentage of what the player makes. Otherwise, this literally does nothing. He probably dug that fine money out of his couch cushions.

straycash 09-17-2022 02:43 PM

Coochie liquor 09-17-2022 02:50 PM

How do they arrive at that figure? Why not an even $15000 or $16000? or even $15600?
What mathematical equation gets them that extra $9?

You aren't allowed to lift a player than slam him to ground. It has been a rule for quite some time. If it were legal, you would see it much more often.

It would have been less than a yard. Half the distance.

I wasn't happy about no flag. But really, it would have been what a yard? Yard and a half? Half the distance from inside the 3 isn't much of a penalty anyway. Our offense should have been able to punch it in from there in 3 plays regardless.

Should have been an ejection.

Lame there wasn't a flag.

Lame the announcers totally let it slide and only talked about whether it was a fumble.

It’ll be interesting to see how the nfl handles it. I don’t care too much that the penalty wasn’t called. But interesting thing is if you allow this, then you also allow this kind of hit on someone like Keenan Allen or mecole Hardman. It could damn near break him.

PHOG 09-18-2022 06:51 AM

The ref should be fined and suspended for not flagging such blatant unnecessary roughness. :harumph:

InChiefsHeaven 09-18-2022 07:46 AM

So, when players get fined, who gets the money? The NFL? What do they do with it? I think if you fine a player, you should also make him have a press conference to apologize and then explain what he was thinking when he committed the infraction. That shit would be hilarious.

Then have him tarred and feathered by the player he committed the foul against. On live TV. That would be fun.

I thought somebody (might have been James as well) broke CEH's neck on one play. Looked brutal in real time and even worse on replay. That one has the James/Kelce tackle beat by a mile.

If CEH shows up on the injury report next week with a neck sprain or soreness, I wouldn't be shocked.

Still not awesome but better than his head twisting like that.

It's total bullshit there wasn't a flag, that was a perfect illustration of unnecessary roughness looks like (and I can't help but feel that Thornhill would've been flagged if he had done that to Mike Williams, but I digress).

But what confuses me more than the non-flag is why did Kelce break inside when he was wide open to the corner of the end zone in the first place?

Yeah if he just continued his path at the catch, he walks into the endzone. Earlier in the game he did something similar with a defender right on his tail and the guy overran him and it worked out.

How about you go back to the 2019 AFC Championship game when Chris Jones got called for roughing Brady by mearly touching his shoulder pad?

It extended the game and facilitated the Patriots going to the Super Bowl and the Dee Ford offsides would never have happened.

Clearly hit him in the head. Jones is a big guy with a big hand. A lot of force can come from that, even when it doesn't always appear so.
