Hurricane Ian Watch
|
Stay safe all CP Floridians.
|
Is Ian Watch related to Marco View?
|
|
Let's hope is destroys one of Bradys 20 houses. With no injuries of course.

The blue dot is my house. We’re about 5 blocks from the water. Luckily we’re kinda elevated so we’re the last flood evacuation zone. I cut my trees back after work today. Boss told us to take tomorrow off and secure our homes. Boarding mine and my neighbors windows in the morning. Gonna be a “fun” few days at the Coochie Liquor house. But I’m stocked up on weed, alcohol, and gummies! Wish us all luck down here in the cone! Bless up from Tampa Bay! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Let me know if you need anything. |
Damn, you are right there. Looks like the center is coming right towards that Madeira Beach area. That storm surge could be a bitch.

I'm girding my house in Denver, but these hurricanes always end up being nothing.
You people in Florida might have a bigger impact, though, so good luck to all of you. |

Do you Floridians sit on the front porch and watch hurricanes like us Midwesterners do with tornadoes?
|
My oldest daughter moved to Tampa last Monday.
Ugh. |

Hope all goes well for her. |

Hang on to your ass, Cooch. Good luck to you and yours down there.

We just left South Seas Resort on Captiva Island a few hours ago. The hotel portion of the place was basically a ghost by now. But some of the other properties privately owned on the resort still seem pretty inhabited. I can’t imagine being on that island or Sanibel for that matter to ride this out but I guess plenty of people will. Definitely wasn’t a bunch of people fleeing. And Fort Myers itself seemed not at all concerned.

BEP, BRC, and all the rest... yeah please stay safe down there
|
Did you see the pounding Eastern coastal Canada took from the prior hurricane?
Shit be nasty. |
Seriously, wishing the best for all who live down there but on the football side of things, I just saw on the scroll that they’re looking at moving the game to the Midwest somewhere if Tampa can’t host.

Scroll where. Moving it to the Midwest makes no sense. |

minnesota, nashville or new orleans |

I don't see new Orleans. That city HATES Tampa Bay. |
I was thinking on going down to Tampa for this game and then going to Busch gardens the day afterwards. Good thing I canned those plans lol.

I’d drive to Nashville on late notice.

It wasn’t meant to be a put down or anything. I think you’d be a blast to party with.

Got family in Siesta Key right on the water. Could get a little dicey.

It does appear to be taking the same approach as Charley. I was there for that one.

Still a couple days to go but the latest forecast tonight is definitely pushing it right into Tampa.

Slight shift in course overnight now has Ian hitting me dead square about 4 a.m. Thursday.
Good news is there's time for that to change. These storms almost always wobble and shift at the end. Still gonna get thumped, though. |

Worst part is losing power. We lost power for three days when we lived in DeLand when a hurricane brushed against us, and I almost reverted to Lord of the Flies. I've since bought a portable generator, so we'll see if that keeps me sane. |

Good luck and be safe! (You may want to consider parking your car facing into the wind.)

Just talked to my stepdad and plans changed and he's riding it out in Siesta Key and not going to Miami. Says he thinks it's going to hit closer to Ft. Myers which would be good for the storm surge situation in Sarasota. Not sure if it's the smartest thing to do, but he's pretty stubborn. Told me he couldn't get out at this point even if he wanted to. Yikes...

Soren is saying the game would be moved to Minnesota but they won't make the call until tomorrow.

Update on Chiefs-Bucs game: NFL is going to wait as long as possible to make a decision... most likely tomorrow.
