Another excellent job KCUnited!

You're hired!

Bearcat 10-12-2022 02:25 PM

I was wondering how often Fox or CBS has only one game in a time slot and think it's the first time I've seen them mark a slot as nationally televised on these maps.

ToxSocks 10-12-2022 02:25 PM

Thanks for taking on this job, KCunited.

I'm not sure I've ever seen that, either. I'm hopeful that it means the idiots at CBS will be unable to "switch to a more competitive game" when we're up by 10 in the third quarter.

I had to do a double take and feel kind of jipped out of a sold colored map.

ptlyon 10-12-2022 02:39 PM

There are 3 late games this week, ours, and two on fox.

ChiefsCountry 10-12-2022 02:45 PM

There always has to be 3 afternoon games due to the NFL's national radio contracts.

We're the only CBS game. No worries there.

Jewish Rabbi 10-12-2022 04:13 PM

I’ll be watching the KC Chiefs

chiefsfan987 10-12-2022 08:27 PM

Let me guess. I'm going to get blacked out because the seahawks play at home correct?

Doesn't look like it. Game is on the tv schedule for Seattle.

Zebedee DuBois 10-12-2022 09:01 PM

The little pockets of viewership pique my interest;

Like the little pocket in Northern Missouri/Southern Iowa that wants the Minnesota- Miami game on Fox Single. Is there an Otumwa or Kirksville station bucking the trend?

lewdog 10-12-2022 09:28 PM

I was worried about the Cards ****ing us out of seeing the Chiefs as most times they won't show a game opposite of them playing.

So sure we're getting it?!

I bet they think that Kirksville changed its name to honor Kirk Cousins.

Yeah, it's freakin' weird... don't think in ~6 years I've seen another game on when the Cards are on during the late game (maybe a couple times when they're on the east coast).

It's on my TV guide though and if it wasn't nationally televised, they'd have the all too familiar 'no game' black hole on a map.

They've listed games opposite the Cardinals before but when it comes time for the game, many times they don't show it. I can only recall one instance where they showed a game opposite them here.

KCUnited 10-12-2022 09:46 PM

Wait, wut?

It's the first time I've ever seen them not even post a map because a game is nationally televised, so I'm pretty confident!

Game of the Year.

So this game should be available to anybody that has an NFL+ sub since it's showing in every local market.

11Chiefs 10-13-2022 11:21 AM

If the Ravens/Giants go into OT does CBS start Chiefs on time?

ptlyon 10-13-2022 11:23 AM

No

You’ll miss part of the Chiefs game because CBS stays on that noon game until it’s conclusion.

It would be nice to delay the kickoff but the NFL doesn’t do that.

What pisses me off is when the scheduled game finishes but then they switch to a game that goes long or into overtime cutting the start of your game

It's at least the later of the late games... :25 after and not the top of the hour.

If that happens, I'm going to go all Davante Adams on CBS and I won't issue a fake apology afterwards.

KC and Buffalo TV markets will not miss the start of the game, but the rest of the country is screwed.

Yeah but this is THE game of the week. Hence why the entire nation gets it. I know exactly what you're saying, but lets hope they give this game priority since it's one of the most anticipated games of the season.

Nowhere near as bad as missing OT of Chiefs because CBS switches to Raiders.
