Josh allen (bills)

Has almost 100 rushing yds against the jets and 2 interceptions. Currently down against the jets, but that could change.

Allen reminds me of a prime Cam newton. He's physical and isn't afraid to use his body to take punishment. But I can't help but think he'll have a shorter career like cam as a result of it.

Thoughts? (Slow day waiting for the chiefs)

Josh Allen is light years better than Cam Newton ever dreamed of being

DRM08 11-06-2022 02:30 PM

He's a million times better throwing the ball than Cam Newton ever was. Pretty similar running the ball to Newton. Allen is a hell of a player. Not sure about the strategy of running the ball so often in regular season games. I would save that stuff for the playoffs.

Allen is way worse than Newton. Has never and will never make a Super Bowl.

He wouldn’t be able to on his own merit but sadly Goodell will get him there.

He might be. But allen has had way better weapons and supporting cast vs what cam had in carolina. Ppl forget that prime cam had 35 TDs back in 2015. But it's the rushing that really stands put to me.

He’s got a little Phyllis Rivers in him too. He has moments where he loses his composure. I can’t imagine him mounting the kind of comebacks Mahomes has.

Lmao I see the rivers comparison. Rivers hated being sacked. Remember when he grabbed terrell suggs leg and held on after being sacked?

Jets are a much improved team. I knew this game was going to be a test for the bills. It will also be for the chiefs when they play them later this year.

chinaski 11-06-2022 02:51 PM

Josh Allen is a human being. This particular individual has physical abilities and attributes that other human beings do not have. Because of this, he is able to earn a living playing the coveted Quarterback position for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. Buffalo is a city in New York State in the Northeastern United States. It gets very cold there in the winter. And they eat Chicken Wings. Some people call them Buffalo wings, others simple call them Hot wings.

When Josh Allen scores points and does well, some people are happy and some people are sad. When he loses a game and/or gets hurt, some people are happy and some people are sad.

Rainbarrel 11-06-2022 02:51 PM

His rushing game was very good today. Kept Buffalo's chances alive on numerous drives. Several pretty bad throws. Robert Saleh is a very good DC. He can fool the QB's at times.

I'll take Mahomes over anyone all day every day but I think some of you are crazy with this negative stuff about Allen. I do agree a lot of things fall his way and eventually he won't be able to keep running like this when the first injury comes(and it will).

That being said Allen is a damn good player that few teams outside of KC will be able to stop in the playoffs. I don't think winning a SB is outside of his skill set in any way.

RollChiefsRoll 11-06-2022 03:17 PM

I mean Allen’s a good QB but people need to stop pretending he’s on Mahomes’s level. Pat’s got 5,000 yds, 50 TDs, and 10 fewer picks in only two more career starts. And a Super Bowl.

So…

I also wish the coaches didn’t put so much on him. He is the entire Bills offense - we have no run game. They need to find a running game and stop putting so much pressure on him.

Until he gets past us and wins a championship, he’s in no way shape or form Pats equal. You lost home field last year because you lacked the discipline to take care of business. You got beat at arrowhead in the playoffs because of stupid mental errors in special teams. That’s why Buffalo is associated with failure no matter how you try to spin it.

And Mahomes wasn’t shit in the games you mentioned. Definitely wasn’t throwing directly to the defender on every other play.

Btw, Allen was shit his entire first two seasons in the league and doesn’t even begin to have the same overall accomplishments as Mahomes, so I’m not sure why you think an Allen fan is in a position to nitpick Mahomes’ career. Of course every QB has off games. But the fact is that this is supposed to be Allen’s period of ascending to the top and stealing the title of best QB in the world. Yet he has like 23 INTs in his last 24 games and a shitload of fumbles.

I don’t think it’s crazy to argue that it may have been premature to crown him.
