I was just about to say that if you google it, you see some site that says 27. I'm going off of the PFR number, which shows a different figure for reasons that I don't understand.

Good guess, but no. Surprisingly, he never scored a safety. But you're on the right track. They're all defensive players.*



And before you laugh at me, two of our safeties were scored by offensive players (TE Ed Beckman and WR Mikhael Ricks), presumably on special teams plays.

DT is one of them i'd guess.

He was halfway there with one.

The third guy was a defensive lineman, and most of you will know his name. He's not obscure.

I was at both games that DT got his(Steve Young and Jeff George) so I remember those, but I don’t know about the other ones. I’d guess Albert Lewis via some blocked punts and maybe Willie Lanier.

His safety record is negative, at least on scooters.

Have you seen those Facebook videos where Harvey Williams takes interview questions? First off, Harvey has a Mt. Rushmore-sized ego. To hear him tell it, he was the greatest football player ever.

But he told a story about getting into a fight with Percy Snow in training camp, and he purports Percy Snow to be a Marvel Comic supervillain. He said that Percy was amazingly muscular and amazingly mean. It's too bad that we didn't get to see him put that to use for the Chiefs.

Tamba Hali or Jared Allen would have been better guesses.

Bill Maas, Dan Saleaumua, and Derrick Thomas are the only three Chiefs with more than one career safety. Derrick had three, and Maas and Saleaumua had two each.

Coincidentally, two former Chiefs are in a four way tie for the lead with four safeties apiece. JA and JH
