Florio and Co. talk about Chiefs vs Chargers - some good stuff in there
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...sion-protocol/
Don't care if this has already been posted in a mega thread. Thought this was a good watch. Despite the hate that Florio gets around here, I like watching him talk about the Chiefs. He is definitely a fan of Mahomes, Kelce, and the how exciting are the Chiefs. There is also a little bit about the culture and how the other players encouraged Skyye Moore, which I found very good to hear. I mean, sure we kind of already knew that but it is still nice to hear national commentators talking about it. |
Florio loves the Chiefs... he was only a Tyreek hater thanks to Brooke Pryor.
He seems to have even backed off on the Tyreek hate. |
He promised to retire. He's a liar
|
Mahomes: 14-0 against div teams on the road. That's an unreal stat!
|
**** Florio.
|
Monolith beat me to it, but Florio LOVES the Chiefs now that Hill is gone. He had his own personal crusade against Hill that slanted his opinion of the Chiefs. Now that he's gone, he's all about giving the Chiefs love every chance he gets.
That said, **** him. With a rusty fork. |
156 snaps by our rookie class Sunday night. That’s incredible. Vern Belch is a bad ass!
|
I luzz me some Burt Vurtch.

Isn't this freaking awesome?
Watching the media always talking about us. Going to other teams' message boards and seeing their obsession with us. Being the villain that every team's fans hate while playing the most exciting brand of football in the league. This is the golden age of Chiefs football. Hope everyone is soaking this in, because it's never going to be better than this. It realistically could last for Mahomes's whole career. He's that good. And Veach is doing a great job restocking talent. |

He's a goddamn reporter. He did a lousy job and then stood on his soapbox and shouted for all the world to hear. He exposed who he is. Now it's not a story anymore and Hill's been 'rehabilitated' so he just pretends like nothing happened. But you KNOW who he is. He's the same lazy attention whore he's always been. So why act like he's a changed man? He isn't - there just isn't any money in it for him anymore. If he finds some other profitable reason to put the Chiefs on blast, he'll get right to it, fair or otherwise. **** Florio. |

It was glorious. |

He’s an ex lawyer. He’s not a reporter. That’s not an excuse, but still… |

I think Mahomes would still win a ton of games, probably championships, if you give him a stronger defense & run game even if you lose Andy Reid's creative playcalling in the passing game. Just my 2 cents. |

We may see the Chargers again. They can get 10 wins with thier shit schedule. Lose to Miami and Tenn but the test is crap.

On the other hand, the problem with having a defensive coach is your offensive coordinators will get picked off to be head coaches. We may be seeing that in Buffalo right now where there's some questions if Allen and that offense is doing quite as good without Daboll. Not that they've cratered or anything but you definitely lose some continuity. |

All three of the AFC West rival teams could be potential landing spots for Payton. It's interesting though considering his raving comments about Mahomes recently ("by far the best QB in the league"). He would have to believe that one of these other AFC West teams has a better roster to close that gap and make it a reasonable job for him. I brought up the Rams & Chargers because Payton has been in Los Angeles a lot with FOX Sports lately. If he enjoys the town, those two L.A. teams both seem like solid places for Payton to land. Brandon Staley is on the hot seat for sure. Sean McVay was allegedly going to retire from coaching after the Super Bowl, but he changed his mind. I really would not be shocked if McVay suddenly quits at some point. |
I need to see if Payton isn't a bit overrated. Maybe he needs a new drug and D scandal

As someone who has lived most of his life in KC, but also spent a fair amount of time living in New Orleans, going to college, playing music professionally, Payton is a bad fit for Kansas City because he has a huge ego. He was great back in 2005 or whatever. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he is unqualified. It just doesn't work. He is too close to Dallas with his relationship to Jerry Jones and nobody around here will trust it. If Big Red Retires after winning the Superbowl this year, Payton comes in, ****s the offensive continuity, Mahomes gets hurt bad, misses a year or two and gets traded to Dallas. That's what Sean Payton gets you. **** that shit. You need Andy to find the next Andy.
