Titans fire GM Jon Robinson

Apparently getting embarrassed by Philly and AJ Brown was the final straw?

Jeffy Fisher, league circles say your team is a dumpster fire…

Amy PMSing hard over that loss!

staylor26 12-06-2022 11:57 AM

Yea this is 100% about the AJ Brown trade.

Gary Cooper 12-06-2022 11:58 AM

Damn! I was hoping he'd trade us Henry for Justin Reid.

chiefforlife 12-06-2022 12:01 PM

Vrabel won!

Vrabel did NOT want AJ traded and was pissed about it. AJ was hurt by the blindsided trade.

AJ going off in that game proved Vrabel was right. Ouch!

RaidersOftheCellar 12-06-2022 12:03 PM

Petty and hilarious if true.

Waaaaaaah, we got torched by AJ Brown! You're fired!

ChiefsCountry 12-06-2022 12:04 PM

More Patriot Way frauds getting fired is always a good thing

Eleazar 12-06-2022 12:14 PM

it seems that trading AJ Brown for Treylon Burks and a 3rd is a fireable offense.

Vrabel might have won the battle with his GM, but he's gonna lose the war in the end. His QB situation will never allow him to make it through the AFC Playoffs. So eventually they'll fire him as well.

Im sure he knows that, another reason to be so pissed at the GM.

Agreed, although he has put a consistent winning product on the field every year that many other franchises would kill for (a good QB shy of a Super Bowl, like many other teams). If the Brown trade wasn't so reminiscent of the Dangeruss trade, you'd think Denver would make it rain on him.

Yep. Especially when your head coach did not want to do that trade. And then he comes back to kill you and you get curb stomped by the team you traded him to.

They have even less of a chance without AJ Brown.

Marcellus 12-06-2022 12:54 PM

Yea the AJ Brown trade just never made sense to me, I mean who they saving the $ to pay?

chiefzilla1501 12-06-2022 12:59 PM

Another patriot goon bites the dust. Although Robinson actually built a pretty good team.

Amazing that this is the move that got him axed and not treating the qb position like a red hot top priority.

The next Derrick Henry.

His team beat Brady at New England in the playoffs. Was a white-hot Chiefs team away from the Super Bowl.

All of that with an average QB. Pretty damn good.

wazu 12-06-2022 03:20 PM

This is pretty nuts. Last year’s #1 seed, win their division every year, and they were dogshit before he arrived. Good luck finding better.

Kiimo 12-06-2022 03:21 PM

I would be worried if say Chris Ballard left Indy for Tennessee. I'm kind of convinced Ballard's handcuffed by an insane owner.

kccrow 12-06-2022 03:30 PM

It came down to Landry vs Brown, really, and they chose to keep Landry. I'm convinced it's much easier to find good WRs than it is to find 10+ edge rushers.

The sucks for the Tits is that both Dupree and Landry ended up out for the year.

I think it's more than about AJ Brown because to me that was the correct decision.

Pitt Gorilla 12-06-2022 03:40 PM

So, they fired the guy who identified and drafted AJ Brown because he traded AJ Brown (instead of paying him a huge deal).

Wonder if he'd like a job with the Chiefs to help identify Edge talent?

Ummmm no, Ballard has been a colossal failure period. Its not the owner who keeps trading for washed up old QB's.

Correct. Ballard is the one who should be fired

Isn't there a NFL rule that teams cannot steal a Head Coach from another team? Does the league not have a similar rule for GM's?

Red Dawg 12-06-2022 04:13 PM

Ballard lost his franchise QB. Not his fault.

And has done nothing but make the situation worse over the last 5 seasons.

This is what happens when folks overreact to one decision and fail to realize how good they actually have it.

And drafted a guard Top 10.

Hoover 12-06-2022 05:33 PM

The only team that has traded away a top WR and been fine is KC. Green Bay, Baltimore, Titans, all have not managed that well.

Amy Adams?

Imma gonna guess the pep talk is a lot better than the parting ways moving in a different direction meeting.

And yet Hackett still has a job.

Buehler445 12-07-2022 12:25 AM

I’ll be honest I’m a bit surprised.

Their roster is pretty decent. I like their DL, I like their OL and they get a lot of production out of role players. Their TE are pretty solid.

Their WR corps sucks ass, they should just line up undersized offensive tackles so they can run block better, but who knows what they’d look like on a team from the 2000s.

They are winning their division and have played top teams in the AFC pretty close. Odd time to set fire to the place.

Baltimore and Tennessee are leading their divisions FYI.

The only reason that the Tits are leading their division is that they are the most buoyant turd in the toilet bowl that is the AFC South. As it stands now, the Tits are the 90's Chiefs, good D, solid OL, strong run game, with a journeyman QB. That will win you a division, especially the AFC South, but they will be one and done (again) in the playoffs.

It's like being shocked when Dorsey was let go. They haven't gone beyond one and done outside of that one time we stopped them.

Dunerdr 12-07-2022 08:25 AM

This probably has more to do with getting along with Vrabes than the roster itself.
