I sure hope Thuney is ok!

notorious 01-01-2023 03:36 PM

Thuney is one of the most important players on this team.

Megatron96 01-01-2023 03:37 PM

laceration. Good, that shouldn't be that big a deal.

Kman34 01-01-2023 03:37 PM

What about the need for Sneed??

tmax63 01-01-2023 03:37 PM

Very true but Allegretti is the best back-up OL the Chiefs have.

Yep. I'm guessing he's gonna have a massive bruise, but he should be able to play through it.

Sassy Squatch 01-01-2023 03:39 PM

****. We REALLY need Thuney. Brown Jr was ****ing abysmal without him there to coddle him against the Bengals.

Kelce was limping too

Any news?

TomBarndtsTwin 01-01-2023 04:13 PM

Thuney would be a BIG loss. Hopefully he’s okay.

If Cincy can take care of business tomorrow night, we could give Thuney a couple weeks off and hopefully he might be ready for the playoffs.

Andy didn't mention him.

He's probably fine. Took that last hit right to the thigh board. That's going to bruise up pretty good.

I really hope they site Kelce for the Raiders game. You can tell the dude is getting up from hits a little slower and we're going to need him at 100% come playoffs AND...and Super Bowl.

We’re not sitting anyone. Do you honestly think we can sit Kelce and roll our helmets out and beat the Raiders?

Our tight ends are a pretty damn solid group. Yes, I'd rest Kelce for that game to give him rest from the hits. And IF we get HFA that's two weeks with the best TE in the league to be in tip top for a Super Bowl run..

The alternative to that rosey scenario is that we lose to the Raiders and find ourselves playing Cincy in the divisional round… that is far from ideal.

Did you catch that 2nd to last hit Kelce took? It hurt. I'm not saying to sit the starters, only to give Travis a week off. Hopefully two deeply depending on the MNF results.

I'll meet ya half way: we suit him up so the Raiders have to include him in the defensive game plan but play him as minimal as possible. Hell, just put him out there to distract the LBs and DBs. Gray and Fortson are excellent depth and their talent is kind of shadowed because of the generational talent they're following.

BossChief 01-01-2023 04:51 PM

Cincy winning tomorrow night becomes even more important.

Something tells me Thuney is done for the year. Hope not but re-injuring is never good and takes even longer to heal. Just saying.

scho63 01-01-2023 11:02 PM

I think Thuney will rest next week and man up for the playoffs.

FloridaMan88 01-01-2023 11:03 PM

And now it is a short week with the Saturday game and Friday travel day.

threebag 01-02-2023 03:15 AM

Kelce is too close to career highs, he’s a baller, he won’t sit. I wish we could save some snaps for these guys, but the Colts took care of that.

I was about to post the same thing, of course you’d rather have Thuney starting but having a fresh Gretti in their damn near neutralizes the loss.

We sit no one now in the hope that we can sit everyone later.

Redbled 01-02-2023 10:20 AM

We likely beat Bengals first game if Thuney plays.

I get it, but OBJ plays much better next to Thuney. Its a big loss...

I dont really care if Skyy Moore sees the field or not. He is nothing special.

ChiefsFan63 01-02-2023 12:42 PM

Just saw that Sneed has a hip pointer. Day to day.

ThyKingdomCome15 01-02-2023 12:55 PM

We need that bye to give Thuney an extra week. Even that may not be enough but he's a tough guy. Needless to say he's sitting this week.
