My biggest issue with it is that it's entirely dependent on where they measure it on the field. For the record, it was over in the corner maybe 15 feet from the stands. In that situation, it was 99% driven by how loud people were right in that corner. You'll note that during normal games when they show the meter, it's usually more in the 90-110 range rather than anything approaching 140.

If you really wanted to have an objective measure, it should be in the center of the field. Obviously the issue there is you can't really do it during play, but since that's the case, the stat is just kind of made up when it really comes down to it.

We are going to be playing the Bills or the Bengals in the AFC champ game if we get by the Chargers. Let’s have a little perspective here. Yes the Chargers lost Bosa for the playoffs, but they are no slouches.

The only reason that Arrowhead has the record is that there wasn't a decibel reader near me when Dan Sorensen forced the kickoff fumble against the Texans.

Meh, I think the Chiefs, Bills, and Bengals are something like 11-1 in the playoffs against teams that aren't the Chiefs, Bills, Bengals, or Tom Bradys... and that 1 is the Bengals/Rams in the SB.

The playoffs are different... hell, even Mahomes and team went through growing pains in the playoffs, much less these mediocre teams that are in the playoffs for the first time now.

I fully expect the Chargers and Jags to spend 4 quarters shitting down their leg this weekend, just like the Jags did last weekend with the pressure of simply winning their division against a backup quarterback.
