Well Miami is out of Gas.

It would be very surprising if they beat Buffalo.

Not really. Every year Miami seams to win a game they should have not even been close in. Hopefully this year it happens this weekend.

Skylar Thompson is a dual threat QB that had a 69.5% completion percentage his senior year at Kansas State University and a 3:1 TD:INT ratio. He's a dual threat athlete and also had 4 rushing TDs.

Before being drafted by the Dolphins, draftdive, com had the following to say about him:

Quote:

Skylar Thompson Stengths

Accuracy

Skylar’s accuracy shines brightest when throwing short routes. He shows great anticipation and timing and can place the ball slightly in front of receivers. This ability allows his receivers to gain good YAC. He has a slightly greater margin of error on intermediate passes but, I would say you could still call his accuracy in this department a strength. Thompson shows a good ability to throw into tight windows on short and intermediate routes, especially on slant and out routes.
So Hill isn't so far off. Thompson is a QB with elite accuracy that can run and has more than a puncher's chance to take down the PTSD-ridden Bills.

xztop123 01-11-2023 10:46 AM

Is tua officially out?

notorious 01-11-2023 10:47 AM

The spread for this game should be Buffalo -10000000

dlphg9 01-11-2023 10:48 AM

Lmao, Tyreek is ate the **** up.

Elite accuracy? He's completing 57% of his passes. And this is what NFL.com listed as his weaknesses:

Quote:

Below-average accuracy on drive throws.
Over-strides and sails the throw.
Forces receivers to break stride and work for it.
Throws need to come out with better anticipation.
Yeah, sounds like a gem.

chinaski 01-11-2023 10:51 AM

Walter White’s wife got remarried and plays in the NFL?

BossChief 01-11-2023 10:55 AM

These kinds of comments just show Tyreek is a great teammate.

I bet he trades himself to KC in madden franchise, though.

Eleazar 01-11-2023 10:56 AM

Somebody named their poor kid "Skylar"

Trevo_410 01-11-2023 11:04 AM

Im rooting for the kid. He went to Fort Osage.

Fair points certainly. He has not killed it in his limited playing time to this point, no. But I will point out that he's only started two games to date, and in one of those, he went out with an injury. The three games he played the most in were against the Jets (twice) and the Pats.

Here's something in his favor: he was already 25 when he was drafted. That means a level of maturity and sagacity in his play and preparation that his countpart Josh Allen just doesn't have. Cause Josh Allen, judging only by his behavior, is a 2 year old.

As someone who's watched almost every one of Skylar Thompson's K-State games.... LMAO

Those stats are skewed a lot by the type of offense K-State runs. Thompson is a talented QB, but come on...

Still in concussion protocol, so pretty much.

BWillie 01-11-2023 12:06 PM

Tua led the NFL in passer rating this year. He also threw 3 ints after he was likely concussed. He cant make all the throws but hes a solid NFL QB and I'm rooting for him.

wazu 01-11-2023 12:10 PM

For anybody taking this seriously - this appears to be a bullshit quote that didn't happen. Image most likely copied from some brilliant Facebook humorist.

FringeNC 01-11-2023 12:11 PM

#2 seed is almost getting a bye, too.

Then I won't have to remind you sir that it was a mere one year and one week ago that Mr. Thompson balled up heavily favored SEC darling LSU in the Texas Bowl to the tune of 21/28 for 3 TDs and 0 INTs, and 259 passing yards. Legend has it that the LSU coach told Thompson after the game that if they had him at QB, they'd be national champions. By legend I mean I just made that up, but that's how legends are made: by being manufactured. Ask Brady.

But it occurs to me that there's no need to spend too much time defending ol' Sky's The Limit Thompson. His play on the field this coming weekend is gonna do plenty of that on its own!

digger 01-11-2023 12:19 PM

You all know that is a Meme right? That's not a real quote to Skylar?

Right?

Yep, when I saw it on FB, I was sure it was a joke someone put together. Didn't take it seriously.

We have a lot of grandpa-finds-facebook people who believe everything they see in their feed

I'm starting to think Tyreek has a concussion too.

And?

He was injury prone going into this year and, going forward, is one big hit away from missing large chunks of the season.

Tua isn’t a franchise QB. But he deserves better than how the Phins have treated him.

He’s left handed Alex Smith.

He's ****a rich. Which I understand that's the goal we all have. It's just ... he could of been a little less rich and still be playing for the top team in the league. Maybe living in Miami is that much better than living in KC. Idk

Rainbarrel 01-11-2023 07:34 PM

Bills will need a new excuse not to play the Bengals. Anything could happen!

DCTwister 01-11-2023 08:04 PM

As a K-Stater I love Skylar and hope he can pull the upset. Doubt it though.

An analogy about Hill’s situation. In 2019, DC home-grown baseball hero Bryce Harper wanted a big bag of money, Nationals couldn’t give him what he wanted but made a good offer. Harper signed with the Phillies, the Nationals spent that money on pitching instead, and won the World Series without Harper. And Harper is still a phenomenal player.

We’ll win the Super Bowl this year without Hill, having spent our resources in other areas.

phisherman 01-11-2023 08:43 PM

Skylar won a state title at QB for Fort Osage too. Kid can play ball and knows how to win.

Yes, rumor has it that Josh Allen as a toddler lacked sagacity in the sandbox.
