Overall it looks like for the most part players played at the level of some of their best days - obviously Dunlap will never see some of the #s of his younger years he still produces well compared to some of his recent past good years. MVS while still trying to get in sync with PM is still producing at a high level. Just need to get those long TD throws in rhythm. Clark while not producing flashy numbers of sacks and PD's has dramatically improved his tackling. McKinnon is just ....wow....Kelce Never Ages. Watson is what we brought him in for. Juju is a solid production guy. This coaching staff really knows how to get the maximum out of these guys. It is really impressive.

Crazy that Chris Jones would have had 17.5 sacks if not for being mean to Matt Ryan and Carl Cheffers being a hoe

Halfcan 01-11-2023 09:23 PM

Mahomes put up his best numbers in several categories as well.

But we all knew that - no surprises, wanted to stick to some of the other players that get "screamed" at on the board.

What blows my mind with MVS is that 32 of his 42 receptions went for first downs. That is mind boggling. All he does is catch 1st Downs.

Some to that is timing. I mean I can think of at least A handful of passes pat overthrew or under threw MVS. And he matched his best season - so he is what we thought he was.

Just adding 5 completions makes him 58%

Surprised some of the negative nancies haven't shown their faces in this thread - not

LMAO

Thank God for Kelce. He’s got almost double the receiving TDs that the rest of the WR have on the team. Didn’t count McKinnon because he’s a RB. Kelce with 12, the other 3 receivers mentioned have a total of 7 combined.

If Kelce walked on water and turned Coke into Pepsi it would be less impressive than his career.

It’s not like 1st downs are important or anything…..

If you hooked them up with a Playmate, they’d bitch about it not being a threesome.

ooohkayy - well this thread derailed really quick lol

Seriously though - aside from FC and Dunlap I feel like these were right up there with career years for these guys

Megatron96 01-12-2023 08:09 PM

Thorny didn't have as good a year as I'd hoped for him. He didn't start that well, and his season was mostly up and down, with a little too much down in 2022. But he had a nice game last week, and he could still have a good postseason, which could go a long ways towards salvaging 2022 for him. Plus, we really need him to have a good playoff run.

Absolutely shocking. I'm just flabbergasted that a thread in CP could get dereailed.

Yeah. His numbers weren't spectacular and he had way better #s his rookie year on about 200 more snaps. But hopefully this is the start of the old Thornhill.

His rookie season is kind of what I keep going back to. He looked pretty good then, but since he got injured, it's just been something of a struggle for him. I gave him a pass his first season back from injury, because I know how hard it is to come back from a knee.

Anyway, I don't want to rehash his entire career, but this really should've been his season to show out, and it really didn't happen. I'm beginning to think that he's just better suited to a different style of defense, which would be a bit of a shame. For KC, I mean.

Thornhill isn’t re-signing.

Too much water under the bridge with the coaching staff.

Plus he’s old for a 1st time FA. He’s gonna pick guaranteed money, as he should.
