Pat and Trav got 50/50 first team votes, some raging idiot didn't vote for CJ who got 49/50.
Not bad. |

Is there a more overrated player in the NFL than Patrick "Toast" Surtain?

Townsend made All-Pro?

Also Creed got snubbed and should have been 1st team. He was the top rated C on PFF, but he was also number one according to ESPN. He had a 98% pass block win rate which was #1 and was #2 in run block win rate with 76%. Kelce was 3rd in both categories.

Which clown didn't vote for Mahomes and for who?

Apparently five players received 49 votes or more. Those players were:
Travis Kelce Patrick Mahomes II Chris Jones and a couple of guys from the other 31 teams (Justin Jefferson and Nick Bosa). |

Wow, I was told that Tommy sucked. I'm not ready to admit CP may be wrong.

Do they still do an all Rookie team? Wonder how we fair on that list.

Would imagine McDuffie is a lock for first team, George might have a shot but definitely at least second team for him. Pacheco, Williams, Watson and Cook all on the radar. |
i don't even dislike Kelce but Creed is by far the best center in the league

Sauce, Woolen and Jones all had better seasons. McDuffie missed too much time. |

AJ Cole is the only guy in the AFC who might be as good as Townsend is. Maybe Hekker out of the NFC? or Michael Dickson? But yeah, Townsend absolutely deserved the All Pro nod, even if Colquitt thinks he's a shitty holder. |

Humphrey is the best in football. |

It's not a strength and he's not Lavonte David out there. But guys like Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah are 'coverage backers' who aren't better than Bolton in coverage. Kenneth Murray was supposed to be a stud in coverage and he's...fine. He's essentially Bolton. CJ Mosley is a liability in coverage. Shaq Thompson is a liability in coverage. Yamin Davis, Devin Lloyd, Jordyn Brooks - those guys are liabilities in coverage. Bolton's just average at it. |
give it up for Tommy!
the rest are to be expected |

How did Townsend make the team?
The Chiefs were 3rd in the league with fewest punts. Typically, All-Pro punters come from crappy teams that punt frequently. |
Quote:
And hey, I wouldn't have complained loudly if he got it. Dude averaged 53 yards/punt over ninety punts. So yeah, that kid has a friggen cannon of a leg. And a 44 yard net is nice as well. But he only put 32 inside the 20 (about 1/3 of his punts) vs. 24 of 53 for Townsend. He also had 9 TBs and only generated 11 fair catches (Townsend got 16 on far fewer punts). So part of that distance came from simply drilling them flat and that's why his net was about a yard worse than Townsends. For all the distance he got, his hangtime was ass. He's kindof a one trick pony. So when you have Townsend, who had a longer longest punt than Stonehouse had AND showed far better touch and accuracy with his kicking, you simply have a more versatile punter. |
