Effective cap space for all nfl teams
https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-salary-...nked-cap-space
Interesting stuff. Tampa = fire sale Saints = LOLOLOL Buffalo = trouble Chargers = hold my beer… wait for Herbert’s contract to kick in Chiefs in good shape. Veach is a damn treasure. |
I don't know what "effective" is but we're going to be pushing $45m if they cut Clark, extend Jones and put Brown on an actual contract.
|
The Saints are just ****ed. I don't know what they will do.

this is what I found in that article:

It should mean how much reasonable space can they create. And the Chiefs can reasonably create upwards of $40m without restructuring anybody. |

The Bucs and Saints are just in terrible shape.
How are teams like the Panthers and the Jets so ****ed? Who have they been paying? |
What the hell do the Packers do next year?

According to this we are negative 600K? I know we have to make some moves, cutting Clark, Signing OBJ, JuJu, BIG money to CJ! I do not see how we are in good shape? Thats a ton of money and does NOT include one free agent signing. |

The Chiefs are in fantastic cap/roster position for 2023. I made my case here. |

What’s crazy and exciting about the chiefs is they are doing this all without a ton of backloading. They have TONS of flexibility to bulk up for an immediate run. Or make a big move to put us over the top. We also seem just damn fine to put a Super Bowl run for years and years with a well managed cap. I still can’t help but wonder if we stay very safe with our cap for a year or 2 knowing there is a shitload of young QBs on rookie contracts. Why waste your biggest cap years when the competition is a little tighter. |
