Zay Flowers put on some (good) weight

Honestly, I think this is probably my guy at 31 if the draft were today:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Boston College WR Zay Flowers completed his training at PER4ORM in South Florida … and 13 pounds of muscle later, he appears ready to head to Indianapolis for the combine. 👀 <a href="https://t.co/UxbWkWno99">pic.twitter.com/UxbWkWno99</a></p>&mdash; Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) <a href="https://twitter.com/TomPelissero/status/1630234760365887490?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 27, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

For breakfast.

Mecca 02-28-2023 02:16 PM

You know how long it legit takes to put on 13lbs of muscle?

Where's that HGH buddy.

Couch-Potato 02-28-2023 02:18 PM

Jokes aside, I do think the additional weight will be huge for him. Takes him out of the "slight build" conversation and puts him right at league avg expectations IMO. Good for him! Would love to have him in KC opposite Toney, the'd give defenses fits!

My assumption is that he was put on a solid "strength program" down there to achieve this. Typically this would take about 3 months to accomplish. Congrats to him! He looks great and seems very happy with the results!

staylor26 02-28-2023 02:20 PM

Flowers, Toney, and Moore would be fun. I think they'd compliment each other nicely.

I've seen people mocking Flowers to the Chargers which is well different.

I don't think he goes that high, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I kind of have a hard time seeing the Chargers not go D though.

The argument seems to be, it's time to get Herbert some weapons that aren't just big slow guys.

I get it, and I don't necessarily disagree with it, I just don't think the Chargers go in that direction.

Of course, cutting Allen would change things.

Still my favorite WR, though he's not AS great as i initially thought after reviewing him some more.

Im excited to go through the top 10 WR's and rank 'em, just haven't had the time yet.

I saw a TY Hilton comparison made. Their size profile is almost identical. That's a great pick at 31.

I see Brandin Cooks when he was fresh out of Oregon State.

That's a good one as well.

So, how long do they have to stop the "supplements" before the combine to make sure everyone passes their urinalysis analysis?

Titty Meat 02-28-2023 05:56 PM

No way he put on 13 pounds of muscle in just a few months moves down my board for lying

Megatron96 02-28-2023 06:27 PM

Mark Wahlberg allegedly put on 40 pounds of muscle in 7-8 weeks.

Yeah but he didn't have to pass any drug tests.

Judging by this post, about now.

chiefforlife 03-05-2023 05:10 PM

His 40 was disappointing.

Lol wut?

A 4.42 is a good time for him. Out of all the WRs that disappointed in the 40, he was not one of them.

That is a good 40 but I thought he was a 4.2/4.3 speedster!

JPH83 03-06-2023 08:45 AM

I mean maybe he was a 4.3 guy without that 13lbs? I didn't see his other drills but given he was comped to Tyler Lockett who ran 4.40, 4.42 seems absolutely fine if his agility is still there. Man, early 20s really is the time to pack on lean mass!

My pleasure. There's a link to the website right above the spoiler tag.

The website is https://www.thefantasyfootballers.com/

His workout was really similar to Skyy Moore's. I think he's a bit better route runner with less reliable hands. I barely put him in the 1st round tier in my last set of rankings but I'm very much thinking he should be in the 2nd round tier. He might be a higher 2nd like Elijah Moore was.
