I'm pretty sure that you can add the Donks to that list. They could have been competitive. But they were trying so hard to keep up with the Chiefs that they have made desperate attempt after desperate attempt to keep up with the Chiefs has only set them farther back. Going back to trading ahead of the Chiefs for Paxton Lynch to firing coaches every other year to the Russell Wilson trade and the Sean Payton trade. All to compete with the Chiefs and every move backfiring. Now, they are doomed for the foreseeable future.

Bengals' collapse begins when they lose Higgins

Just saw an ESPN report that the Bengals are keeping Higgins. Good luck continuing to field such a good defense over time. Maybe they don’t care about the consequences in 3 years. Go all in for 2-3 years and then deal with the fallout later.

I mean, their director of player personnel said he was not interested in trading him.

That doesn't mean it's a done deal or anything.
