Arrest Warrant issued for Jalen Carter
Being sought for reckless driving and racing in the accident from a few months back that killed the UGA staffer and one of his teammates.
Ruh Roh, shaggy. (would absolutely take him at 31) |
Interesting...

Shit, man. I was reading the DL thread this morning and O.City asked about Tyree Wilson and how high they'd have to get.
I almost referenced what we were saying about Travon Walker last year (him getting arrested or something). And then this breaks. Holy cow. |

Then the combine happened. ****ing combine. |
I'm betting he still goes in the top 10 and potentially still stays in the top 5.
Then again, using a top 10 pick on a dude who just might end up with charges upgraded to some level of vehicular homicide if he doesn't play nice is...risky. I mean the only difference between what he did and Ruggs did is that he didn't tap the expedition's bumper or something prior to it losing control. But every other element of the incident, when you view 'process' rather than execution (for a lack of a better way of putting it) is identical. Get hammered, drive like a lunatic through traffic, someone gets dead as a result of your behavior. That's a pretty nasty little set of circumstances and the guy was a bit of a loose cannon even before this surfaced. He's coming off a few draft boards here, IMO. |
He’ll be there in the 6th round when we pick.
|
Wait, was he hammered?
|
Are you guys thinking what I’m thinking?

I hope that's the case because SOMETHING has my dick hard and I'm a bit concerned if that's not what did it. |

The good news for Carter is that a couple of potential key witnesses are gonna be....unavoidably detained for the foreseeable future. |

You should see me when I walk up to a craps table when a person is on a heater throwing the dice. LMAO |
I think it's a case where Carter PROBABLY doesn't face serious legal ramifications.
It's going to be hard to prove he was under the influence if they didn't do a blood draw in the moment. I can't imagine there's any sort of felony rider for this. I'd guess he gets some probation. What teams can draft him, though? Not the Chiefs. |
He isn't making it to 31...even with this shit over his head.

He's going to get drafted by the Raiders, isn't he? |

Which means they probably will take him. |

Right??? Chargers, OTOH, seem like an option. Nobody gives a shit about them anyway. |
Chargers or Rams?
If he slips out of the first, the Rams seem like a team that would take the swing and that can handle any sort of media push back. |
Although… if you were trying to adopt DJ’s suggestion to just accept and own the black hat…

I think the top prize for our team would be another dominant DT to play next to C Jones.
Would you trade #31 + our extra 4th + next year's 1st to move up and take him at #11-15??? I think I'd make that move for the top talent in the draft, then pray that Carter falls to us in the 2nd. G Karlaftis, C Jones, J Carter, F Clark/A Carter = yikes! |
