But in reality it makes sense. If this is the last season, it can't all just come together in the last 20 minutes. And Logan dying is the best possible way to force a change within the constraints of the story as established.

Of course Kendall ****s the deal between the kids immediately and makes a move behind Roman's back. I thought Roman showed a lot of potential in this episode and I didn't miss him using Logan's "**** off" towards Frank.

I suppose it will be Shiv's turn next week to turn on the others and Roman will just sit in waiting and let both Kendall and Shiv go down in flames.

if the guys are acting in good faith, Shiv is a well compensated consultant that is in every decision. But that wouldn’t set fire to the world so that won’t fit the show.

I think it is on point and shows an interesting growth curve for Kendall to do what Logan would do. Damn the torpedoes.

I also don't think he's going with the "Shit on Logan" plan because it's best for the company. He's just doing it out of spite. That's why he's going behind the back of Roman and Karolina to put it in motion.

I think he's bypassing Roman, because Roman threw a fit about it. Since that dudes daughter ****ed him with a strap on ROFL (selling the shares), he can do this with deniability and maintain his relationship with Roman. I mean that's what he's hoping. Obviously it won't work.

Pure speculation here, but I think he's going to try to leverage that into a play to shitcan the "old guard" since he can say it wasn't me, must be them. They were with him on the plane. And he was really the only one saying it was us or them.

Whatever happens, it made the proceedings more interesting.

Roman is going to toss Kendall aside as soon as he can. Him reacting to Mattson and telling him to die was a Logan level speech. He still hates confrontation but he's figuring it out.

I think the previews kind of showed Kendall at the beginning of another meltdown.

Shiv desperately seeks acknowledgment and Mattson gave that to her in spades and he's going to use that to his advantage.

Alexander Skarsgard is fantastic as Mattson.

Not news, but politicians in general. There is a good guy and a bad guy as opposed to them both being raging pieces of shit which would reflect reality.

But upon reflection I think that might be my bias. It's what I expect their position to be so that's what I saw. But I think there is a case to be made that there is some level of adequate representation.

The election was wide open because the incumbent chose not to pursue re-election - Which is what everyone presumed Biden would do when they wrote it. Makin is a professor like Obama. It's just the racism stuff (which could be either party) and not the abortion or generally hating on conservatism.

They also showed PGM immediately trashing Tom, which, while understated is bullshit - the same rush to judgement, reaction over objectivity, ratings first bullshit that they just showed ATN doing. Same with the newspaper that showed the org chart. Rather than focus on the mechanics of the election, they smeared ATN.

I'm guessing there was other crossover stuff, but I ****ING HATE politics so I stay out.
