I'm definitely good with that!
|
What did we give up?
|
If we really took Hyatt in front of Flowers I'd be pretty upset.
|
I didn't even realize we traded up. Just looked at the player.
Don't really think we'd do that, or even need to, if Hyatt AND Flowers are on the board. |

I don't like Flowers as much as you guys do, especially with that skill set in-house already. Even without that skill set in-house, I far prefer Hyatt and it's not especially close.

Man Jalin Hyatt isn't worth moving up for, you'd be better off trading back and taking Mims they're the same guy.

Jim Nagy said he's spoken with many teams that are only grading 1 WR as a definite 1st round talent.

Apparently we don't remotely see the same thing there. |

If we don't, we don't, and that's okay. |
I think Flowers floor, is Tyler Lockett, I don't see that style of player in Moore.

I really struggled to put your guy Flowers in round 1, for example, but I think he's a better player at his position than guys like Nolan Smith, Felix Anudike-Uzomah, Ade Abedawore, Keion White, Mazi Smith, Will McDonald, and so on are at their positions. Then you also have the factor of team need versus that BPA and it just makes more sense. |

Similarly, Hyatt could be the next DeSean or he could be the next Will Fuller. We have no idea. Hyatt is much more explosive though, at least coming in, and that's a big differentiator for me along with size. |

Few people's floors in ANY draft are guys who may end up with 700 receptions for 10,000 yards when all is said and done. Flowers and Moore are extremely similar players. I think Flowers is a better version of Moore, don't get me wrong, but if you draft Flowers, you're burying Moore. If you draft Hyatt you might be layering MVS, but that's a short-term issue anyway as MVS is gone next year. Meanwhile, you may well end up with 2 very dynamic outside weapons in Toney/Hyatt, a deep slot player not unlike Victor Cruz was and an underneath possession guy in Moore. The respective skill-sets dovetail better, IMO. |

As to Hyatt - wholly reasonable pick.
Not the direction I'd go (I'd take White and look to the 2nd for my WR) but I don't have any qualms with it either. Besides, it sets up the Hyatt/Gibbs 1-2 outcome that's just pure Madden porn... |
I'm 100% down with Hyatt in the first, would be incredible to nab Gibbs in the 2nd as a follow up! They are the most exciting options for us in the draft.
I like what you did with the Texans and would hate to see Philly get Bijan Robinson! |
Yeah thats a BOLD move by Houston.
|
Hyatt at 31 is more than fine (to me). Do we really need to move up to get him? I’m thinking he makes it to 31.
I’d rather we use the draft capital to move up in the 2nd to nab our DEOTF (Foskey/White/Ojulari/etc). |
Tweaked er up. I thought it would be final but the Jets trade and some personal thoughts got in the wya.

Brother crow, it's clear that you put in tremendous thought into the process. I think your final product will end up a lot closer than many of the pundits. I might switch porter and banks, but that is clearly a flavor call. Appreciate your efforts.
