Ozzy Osbourne...no lookin' too good...

Stumbled across this article, not sure where to post so figured the lounge was good enough.

Ozzy has a form of Parkinson's. I knew about it, but I've not seen him in some time. He looks awful in these pic in the article:

htismaqe 04-17-2023 09:38 AM

He's in pretty bad shape. He's basically done touring, if he can resist the urge that is (and Sharon's urge for more money).

He's been using ghost singers live for a while now...

WhawhaWhat 04-17-2023 09:39 AM

"Here's a picture of a 75 year old Parkinson's patient. Please discuss."

**** off.

The Franchise 04-17-2023 09:41 AM

Did you expect him to look like a 30 year old? Dude rode his body hard and put it away wet....and he's in his 70s with Parkinsons.

Ocotillo 04-17-2023 09:42 AM

The fact that he made it this long is a miracle.

Right?!?

We’re all going to get there eventually, it’s inevitable. People like to glorify it more when it happens to a celebrity.

ReynardMuldrake 04-17-2023 09:58 AM

Daily Mail is trash. Why are you reading tabloids?

ChiTown 04-17-2023 09:59 AM

Frankly, I'm amazed that he's still alive.

How am I "glorifying" it?

Damn, talk about being misunderstood...

Hard to believe that Keith Richards and Mick Jagger are still going.

We need pics of them.

ChiTown 04-17-2023 10:15 AM

I've seen Ozzie a couple of times, but my first experience was as a 14yr old seeing him in KC during the Blizzard of Ozz tour. What a game changer that concert was for me LMAO

Not sure what tour I saw him on (Motley Crue opened) but he sucked ****ing ass. I'm still pissed that I paid money to see him. Luckily Crue blew the roof off the auditorium, and I should have just left after them.

Saw Ultimate Sin back in 85, then the Sabbath fairwell tour in like 2019 I think.

He has been declining anyway, but now that he has Parkinsons, it's really bad. The article says he's like to tour again, but I think that's just a fantasy.

That probably would have been the Bark at the Moon tour. I saw the Crue in 1990 at the Long Beach Arena - Dr. Feelgood tour. ****ing amazing concert.

Like I said, he's been using ghost singers for a while now. He doesn't have the physical ability anymore.

Seriously

The only bit I caught of that reality show he did like 20 years ago was the voice control in his Mercedes not being able to understand what he was saying LMAO

He should be studied for his longevity

I remember trying to watch one of those family shows and lasted about five minutes. I don't think I ever got drunk enough at any point in my life that I was as incomprehensible as he was. It was sad and pathetic and frankly cruel to exploit him like that in the name of entertainment.

Or more accurately, growing OLDER. My surgically repaired knee pretty much declared war on me when that goddamn cold front blew through yesterday. Good thing I'm not famous and married to a moneygrubbing twat, or there might well have been a camera crew filming me hobbling around and nearly falling over when I tried to put my pants on. I'm sure the trailer park crowd would have found it to be quite amusing.

wazu 04-17-2023 12:22 PM

Got to see Ozzy in concert in 1992. His "No More Tours Tour" in Lampe, MO. Craziest event I have attended in my life. Just utter insanity in that crowd. A stampede to get in that I thought could actually end my life. And some dude in the middle of it was lighting bottle rockets, dropping them at his feet, and having them fire off in random directions. But we were all so smashed together that none of the people who wanted to kill him could get through to him. After we got in and found our seats some woman who was walking by grabbed my crotch randomly. Once Ozzy took stage the place went apeshit. People were climbing up on a very high outdoor stage, and getting just thrown off head-first by bouncers left and right. Ambulances pulling in and out all evening. I was 18 and had never seen anything like it.

Fun fact: Alice in Chains who I had never heard before opened for him and their singer was in a wheel chair with a broken foot. I bought their album the next day.

Oh yeah, the entry doors were off the hinges and I felt the mob push for the first and thank God the only time in my life. That shit was scary.

Nothing better than having old injuries flaring up every time the weather changes. I broke my collarbone twice as a kid back around the time Bill Kenney and Todd Blackledge were fighting for the starting spot, and I can still feel it in my shoulder when the weather is about to change.

This is a recent injury, and the first serious injury I'd suffered in my life, so this is all still new to me. I'd felt weather changes before, but that going from 80 on Saturday to 40 on Sunday just kicked the shit out of me and I was completely unprepared for it.

Better to be bald and still have a functional brain.

rydogg58 04-17-2023 01:15 PM

I seem to recall him being in a commercial recently and he looked like shit. I also watched a movie on Netflix last night that had Helen Hunt in it. Her face looked like an amateur taxidermist practiced how to stretch skin over a skull for the first time ever. At least Ozzy looks better than she does.

Garcia Bronco 04-17-2023 01:47 PM

He's in some recent commercial and I can't remember what it's about but he basically says I've done my share of bad things and your share too.

Otter 04-17-2023 02:11 PM

Not trying to sound like a dick but how are we not surprised he made it this far?

Otter 04-17-2023 02:12 PM

Didn't this guy snort ants?

ChiefaRoo 04-17-2023 02:21 PM

He looks pretty lean and vascular with a full head of hair. Looks pretty good actually. That’s a terrible photo. No doubt he’s got brain/neuro issues.

kysirsoze 04-17-2023 02:59 PM

Impossible to tell how he's doing based on tabloid photos. That said, he seems to be walking unassisted. As has been said, considering age, lifestyle and parkinson's, I had expected a lot worse.

Oh and it goes so much deeper than that. Sharon's father is Don Arden, who at the time Ozzy was kicked out was Black Sabbath's manager/handler.

Don and Sharon went at each other during the early 80's back and forth. It was a mess and Ozzy and the other guys basically became pawns in their power games. Really shitty stuff has gone on since then, including Sharon even having albums re-recorded so they could avoid paying guys like Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake, who was instrumental in Ozzy's songwriting process.

Chaunceythe3rd 04-17-2023 04:43 PM

scho63 04-17-2023 04:59 PM

When I heard him interviewed about 15 years ago during all those reality shows with his family, I thought he had Parkinson's and Dementia back then.

Dude has outlived expectations with what he did to his body.

Heavy drinking over a long period of time will do that not to mention drug use no doubt. Those that finally clean up but did it for a long time are still coming down with the Parkinson's. Once the damage is done then well..........

Gonna guess it was a little more than just a lotta booze for Ozzy.

PAChiefsGuy 04-17-2023 10:52 PM

Cocaine can cause Parkinsons. We all know this guy partied hard back in the day. It has it's consequences.

That said he still lived a pretty awesome life.

I mean, I don't think he's incompetent or something. She's not making him perform, he is a musician and it's what he loves to do. He's just old and suffering for it now. I mean he just put out another album last year...you saying she made him do that??

Shit, if anything she should have left him when he tried to kill her a few years back. She's been with him for decades. I don't feel sorry for Ozzy on that score.

Yeah, the band's cocaine us in the late 70's is what ultimately destroyed the band. And Ozzy's coke binges in the early 80's are the stuff of legend.

Read my post from last night.

She deliberately structured re-recording and re-mastering sessions to "erase" certain band members from "history" so that they don't get paid.

Hell, the bitch tried to cut Rhoads' estate out of royalties after he ****ing died.
