Latest rumor is...

Carolina decided on Young so now Houston wants out of their pick as they don't like Stroud or Richardson...

Hoover 04-18-2023 12:19 PM

There is going to be a ton of movement at the top of the draft.

AdolfOliverBush 04-18-2023 12:23 PM

It's going to be fun to watch Young flame out.

The Franchise 04-18-2023 12:25 PM

All of that for Bryce Young? God the Panthers are stupid.

Imagine trading DJ Moore and multiple high picks for Bryce ****ing Young.

Yet Houston agrees now because without Young available they don't want the pick anymore...

That's a great indicator that Young is going to suck shit.

Mecca 04-18-2023 12:42 PM

So Stroud is gonna end up somewhere interesting like Indy or maybe the Raiders.

I don't like that at all. Hopefully the Falcons surprise everybody and make a move for him.

Tennessee is another possible, they want to move up for a QB pretty bad.

The Franchise 04-18-2023 12:48 PM

Seattle could surprise and take a QB.

The Franchise 04-18-2023 12:49 PM

Detroit as well. They’ve got two 1st round picks and Goff isn’t long term.

Mecca 04-18-2023 12:54 PM

I think Seattle or Detroit would entertain it if one fell to them, issue is with Houston and Arizona trying to trade out, the odds lessen pretty greatly.

Dante84 04-18-2023 01:01 PM

I do think the Raiders end up with a QB this year.

kccrow 04-18-2023 01:07 PM

The Texans* don't need to trade out. Take Will Anderson and don't let QB-needy teams take a guy earlier than you have to to ensure your guy falls to 12.

Hoping it's Levis.

Mecca 04-18-2023 01:22 PM

It's all gonna be about who's willing to give up the assets..

There is serious talk that Tennessee thinks the bottom fell out of their team and they are picking 11..they don't think they'll be picking higher than this anytime soon so this is their chance to move up and get the QB to replace Tannehill.

Dunerdr 04-18-2023 02:10 PM

This is all a smoke show this close to the draft.

I wouldn't at all be shocked if the Panthers are just trying to get the Texans to trade up, and the Texans are calling their bluff.

RunKC 04-18-2023 03:47 PM

Bryce Young is a smart QB and the Panthers have built a very nice staff to help him.

He’s probably the best of the class this year and Tepper wants something to give the fans now.

I think they like Goff a lot better than most outsiders suspect.

My friend constantly reminds me that Goff was the #5 rated QB last year.

Direckshun 04-19-2023 06:11 AM

I continue to believe the Titans will move up to 3.

But... maybe they move up to 2 now?

kcbubb 04-20-2023 08:07 AM

Anthony Richardson is the Malik Willis of last year. If he goes top 10, I’ll be surprised. Willis got so much hype last year as a first rounder and was a third round pick.

I think it kinda matters that Richardson played at Florida and not Liberty.

Yeah, CJ Stroud gets lost on his way to the bathroom and doesn't know how to tie his own shoes.

"Bryce Young is Smart" is what these guys are saying now that "He's a winner!" has been so thoroughly mocked that they can't get away with saying it anymore.

How the hell does anyone know how Young processes when he had NFL talent all over the place around him. Are we supposed to pretend like his production falling off fairly substantially after he lost Williams and Metchie should just be ignored?

Take away his 2021 season and he looks like any of the other undersized 'Bama quarterbacks who got by through never getting hit or having to look to a 3rd read because he they're just BETTER than everyone else. And when that 2021 season sure looks like it may have been driven by excellent WR play, should we REALLY be acting like he's anything more than a more gregarious Mac Jones?

Maybe if Carolina takes him at 1st overall we can finally move past this idiocy.

Mecca 04-20-2023 10:41 AM

Also there are apparently people leaking stories about CJ Stroud being an asshole, a team is trying to get him to fall.

kccrow 04-20-2023 11:39 AM

Young over Stroud is a mistake in my opinion.

It's such a bad idea that I still believe it's a smokescreen.

The Franchise 04-24-2023 01:46 PM

Arizona would be ****ing ecstatic if Young went #1 and Levis went #2. They would have multiple teams bidding against each other for that #3 pick.

kccrow 04-24-2023 01:47 PM

How I'd draft this year's QB class...

1. CJ Stroud, Ohio State
2. Will Levis, Kentucky
3. Hendon Hooker, Tennessee
4. Anthony Richardson, Florida
5. Bryce Young, Alabama
6. Jaren Hall, Brigham Young
7. Clayton Tune, Houston
8. Dorian Thompson-Robinson, UCLA
9. Holton Ahlers, East Carolina
10. Aidan O'Connell, Purdue

Yeah, I've got one loose screw and a missing one too.

I think with QB's below can't miss the home matters a lot.

I know you like Levis better than I do and I prefer Richardson but if Levis ends up in Indy and Richardson ends up in Vegas, Levis will probably look better because he has Steichen.

Meanwhile, Richardson would be stuck with a coach who would probably only delay his development.

Stroud
Levis
Richardson
Young
Hooker
Tanner McKee
Tune
Hall
DTR

Pile of UDFAs.

I could probably be convinced to put Tune ahead of McKee but I still think the league has a home for pocket passers and I think McKee throws an awfully nice ball.

kccrow 04-24-2023 02:36 PM

I just can't bring myself to like McKee no matter how much I watch him and that's certainly not in the consensus.
