Mel Kiper's Final Mock

I can't access it but he has the Rams at 31 taking Hendon Hooker. Anyone have access that can see what we got?

TambaBerry 04-27-2023 12:25 PM

I looked at it a while ago but I don't think it said anything about what we got

tyecopeland 04-27-2023 12:25 PM

The Rams own pick No. 36, and there has been some buzz about their interest in a quarterback in this class. Matthew Stafford has dealt with a couple of serious injuries. Could they make a trade up five spots?

I don't think it would take that much, although they don't have a fourth-round pick in this draft. Maybe it would involve No. 36 plus a couple of Day 3 picks, or a third-rounder in next year's draft.

For the Chiefs, with the top edge rushers off the board, they don't have to force a pick at No. 31.

It doesn't say anything about compensation

TambaBerry 04-27-2023 12:26 PM

What he said ^

TambaBerry 04-27-2023 12:26 PM

Man I'm on a roll with these replies in here lol

The Franchise 04-27-2023 12:26 PM

Here are their picks.

Quote:

Round 2: No. 36

Round 3: No. 69

Round 3: No. 77 (from NE through MIA)

Round 5: No. 167

Round 5: No. 171

Round 5: No. 177

Round 6: No. 182

Round 6: No. 189 (from TEN)

Round 6: No. 191 (from GB)

Round 7: No. 223

Round 7: No. 251
I would assume that it would be for 36 and one of their 3rds...unless they gave us a pick in 2024.

36 and 77 wouldn't be a bad deal.

I'd do if for a 3rd round pick at minimum, even if it's just next years.

A day 3 pick, or combination of them, isn't worth losing the 5th year option.

So we'd have 2 2's and 2 3's?

I think that might work out fine.

36
63
77
95

Assuming they sent us 77 to move up from 36 to 31.

O.city 04-27-2023 01:05 PM

That wouldn't be awful. I dunno, I'm ok either way on it.

Depends who's up...and the other issue is how many open spots does this team have?

O.city 04-27-2023 01:07 PM

You could also take that pick and trade it for Hopkins and not be out anything.

Who says you have to use them all? You can possibly trade up in the 3rd and get 3 guys you have 2nd round grades on.

kccrow 04-27-2023 01:25 PM

No way they'd give up that much value.

It'd be something more like 31+95 for 36+77.

Maybe you'd pry away an additional late day 3 pick from them to account for a bit more of the 5th-year option, like 177 or 182 or something like that.

Couch-Potato 04-27-2023 01:46 PM

Interesting, I've been wondering the same myself. Seems somewhat likely that there's a team out there that wants a QB bad enough they'd give us something worth having for that 5th year option and come knocking at #31. Use he extra capital to get Hopkins maybe.

Rumor has it that Baltimore is finalizing a deal for Hopkins. I'm not holding my breath on that happening.

They might give up something worthwhile but they aren't going to give up a high 3rd to move up 5 spots, 5th year option or not (which really isn't all that valuable for a QB anymore anyhow).
