Phoenix Group Meetup - Part II
 

HELLO FELLOW ARIZONIANS!

DATE MOVED ONE WEEK LATER TO AVOID MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.

It's long overdue to get a bunch of us together to say hello, mingle and talk CHIEFS football.

Wanted to get a meetup planned and set with the Phoenix / Tucson area members to celebrate another SUPER BOWL victory, talk about the draft and hopes for 2023 season, have members meet for the first time, laugh and have a great afternoon outdoors with beer, alcohol and food. I'll bring a bunch of nice cigars as well.

I'm not going to beg anyone to attend but would love to see as many members as possible. The location was selected to be as central as possible for everyone.

Too early for me to commit, but I'll know within a couple weeks and let you know. Gonna be at Billy Strings Wed May 17th though, if anyone else is going lets hook up for a drink. At the old Dodge Theater - Arizona Financial Theater. Might have an extra ticket, not but sure yet, got a big crew going.

At every meetup so far, Bearcat has never shown up. We leave an empty chair at the table for him for his spirit. ;)

There is a rumor that Lewdog met him once at the annual CP Moderators Circlejerk Rules Meeting. He claims he is real but after all the drinking they did, Lewdog might have been hallucinating. :D

Menu looks pretty interesting/tasty. Though not sure how anyone gets past the apps. I already decided that I'm ordering wings, riblets, the rings and the nachos.

That's Memorial Day weekend so there's a good chance I'll be in Rocky Point but if we scrap those plans due to gas prices then I might try and swing by

Half Acre Double Daisy Cutter sounds legit

I’d usually grab a 4pk each year it gets released in Chicago

It’s a more traditional IPA so maltier than the current popular IPAs. Daisy Cutter is their original IPA so it’s a Chicago flagship similar in stature to Zombie Dust or Revolution’s Fist City and the double version is a bit juicier and bigger.

It’s definitely solid but nothing I go crazy for personally.

I haven't been in AZ for the past 8 months or so and currently on the wrong coast... won't be back until the end of the year.

Enjoy, Angel's is nice and in a cool spot with Arizona Wilderness and The Theodore nearby.
