That App State Kid Andy Hardy must have had a huge NIL deal from the Estate of Mickey Rooney.

No need to cut him, there is no real cap savings. He will be what Ronald Jones was last year...inactive every week, just there in case of emergencies.

Clyde could be traded, but not enough cap savings to release him.

He had 6 TDs on 88 touches and no fumbles last year with decent YPC and YPR.

There's about $865K in savings, enough to sign a rookie UDFA. But I'm in agreement, there's no need to cut him unless one of the UDFAs is Pacheco 2.0.

Well I'm sure Veach would just trade him for a 2024 7th, which I'm guessing multiple teams would do, instead of cutting him. This would actually save a little over $2M in cap versus just releasing him.

With Burton signing in Denver, I wonder what the plan is for FB. They do have a small school tryout FB coming in this weekend. Would have loved to see them draft Hunter Luepke in the 7th round this year.

I think between Andy & Patrick, the rules change to focus on passing the FB position is going the way of the dodo bird. I wouldn't be surprised if FB & TE position were merged into a hybrid.</br></br> FBTE?

Unless you're going to use the FB as a bowling ball type blocker, I agree. We have 2 TEs on the roster (besides the 4 we carried last year) that are good size. Blanton is 6'6", 262 lbs and Bushman is 6"5", 245. I love the TE in motion wham block.

Helmet safety and protect the player but seems like that face mask has a lot of bars for a WR. Won't it hinder vision?

I guess you are right. Davante Adams wears a face mask like that. Some WRs don't have the extra bars on the left and right side.

When I played, it seems you look right through the bars of the facemask and don't even realize they are there. It's hard to explain, but you really don't see them.

That's if you had a facemask. :D When I played, almost all of us had 2 bar facemasks. Lots of scars (including mine) and a few missing teeth.

They have waivers to protect against that. Must not be 100% rn.

You were lucky! Why in my day we'd get up half an hour before we went to bed and play without a helmet. We were fed a cold lump of poison for breakfast and we'd lick the field clean before practice.
