Chiefs RBs and Jets RB Michael Carter?
Our depth at RB is limited. Pacheco is great but with his style, he could be hurt. McKinnon is great but he’s not an every down back, really small. CEH sucks. I’m done with him. Prince is promising but I don’t trust him to be the lead back if pacheco goes down.
I expect Michael Carter RB for the jets to be released. The jets drafted Izzy abanikanda in the middle of the draft and I don’t expect them to cut him. So, they have dalvin cook, Breece hall, Izzy and knight and knight is probably on the practice squad?. I expect Michael Carter to be cut and the chiefs should pick him up. Carter would be great with the chiefs! |
JFC our backs are fine. Stop
|
Ease up. It’s the preseason. Who would you have the workhorse back be if pacheco goes down?
|
Watching the Jets the other day i had a similar thought. Not that i think we need him, but i do think Michael Carter would be bad ass in this offense.
|
Yeah, we definitely need a RB that far down the Jets’ depth chart.
If he was good, are they drafting Breece Hall early second? Signing Dalvin Cook? Drafting a mid-round rookie? This might be the worst thread of the offseason. |
I think either Prince or Perine will be a good back up RB for Pacheco and McKinnon

Chiefs have no salary cap money. Cutting CEH creates $2,577,502 in dead money and $865,726 in cap savings. I don't think they can afford to cut him and sign someone else.

kcbubb still making dumb threads. Things never change.

Imagine what it would be like to have 25 back there now…

Can you imagine giving Mahomes a 6.0+ ypc and a receiving threat. We would never punt. Ever. |
And **** CEH
|
Michael Carter at league minimum is not a bad idea with our depth and injury concerns, chiefscountry.
|
I'd rather have Carter than CEH...

I'd rather have Vince Wilfork than CEH. I'd rather have Randy Reid than CEH. Your turn. |

This is why I kinda wanted Jahmyr Gibbs in the first. I know, 1st rd rbs are a bad idea. I usually totally agree. I just got some real JC vibes from him and got excited. Probably good Detroit made it a moot point. |
Bubb is catching a lot of flack for this because he thinks we need a RB when the position group is super deep and talented…
But Carter is a highly underrated back that would fit in here perfectly if we had a need and he was super cheap. |

Both guys were discussed as much as any prospects in recent memory on here. |
I bet we couldn’t get a mason jar of jizz for CEH
|
If I'm not always wanting. I may find myself at peace. How losering is that
|
He seemed to fall off last year a bit. Not sure if it was an injury or what. He's not super explosive but he is a small back who can catch passes so there are probably worse fits. But he was solid at running the ball his first year and last year seemed to struggle on the ground.

God damn bubb might be the stupidest mother****er on this site and that’s saying a lot with some of the mouth breathers we have roaming around here.
|
This thread also makes me want to take a deuce.

Gibbs is apparently struggling in pass pro. Spending premium picks on a 2-down back is rerunned. |

**** with things that don’t need ****ed with for $200, Alex.

We don't need a top 5 run game. It needs to be just respectable enough to keep defenses honest, and we have that

I do keep forgetting we have Mckinnon.
Ok |
I don't hate the idea but I think it's more of an in-season trade if you feel like our current stable of RB's isn't getting the job done or we get overwhelmed by injuries.
