A lot of screen time.

And after the TD, Nagy comes right over to him with the 'attaboy'.

He's making the team.

Buehler445 08-18-2023 06:46 AM

I had no idea Spags had such a thick accent still.

That’s like the Texas twang. It just can’t be held down.

Yep. When they traded him, my first thought was how they let Joe Horn walk. I'm not saying that he's going to be a hall of famer or anything like that. I just remembered how I thought that he was really making strides and wanted him to remain a Chief. Just like I feel about ISM. Our WR corps that year was Derrick Alexander, Sylvester Morris, Dante Hall, Larry Parker, and Kevin Lockett. At least this year there was a glut of talent at wide receiver. There was no good reason to lose Horn. Just one more reason to say Damn it Carl!!

Be glad we've finally arrived at the point where we have a deep enough team of WRs that it sucks when we can't keep them all.

That's a double edged sword he was on 3 teams in 3 years one of which was the Bears...part of the reason it felt like we had so many is because we don't have "the guy" out there.

I think this is a bit different.

Maybe some fans fell in love with Fred Williams and Cody Thompson and whomever else, but we've realistically not had a WR get cut in training camp who was a contributor for somebody else.

I assume the Panthers brought in ISM mainly to return kicks, but he might also have a small role by midseason. But even if all he ever does is return kicks, that's far more substantial than anything else other WR training camp cuts have done for other teams.

I guess we're now hearing about Cody Thompson making the Seahawks roster, so we'll see where that goes, I guess.

The fact of the matter is ISM wasn't going to get any targets, so we wouldn't really know if we had something in him or not. Now I'd feel differently had they shown an indication that they would move on from Watson. Ross beings a different skill set to the roster, he will be utilized. ISM probably wasn't going to dress if he was on the team.

Megatron96 09-01-2023 12:01 PM

I liked what w saw from Marsette this preseason as well. Looked pretty good, all things considered.

End of the day, ISM just didn't have a great chance of seeing the field often on gameday as a Chief. In CAR he has a decent chance of cracking the top-4 WRs and seeing decent playing time, and ultimately having a better chance at jumpstarting his career.

Best of luck to him.

I mean, hopefully. We have some injury risk players. WR 7 could scream up depth chart.

Oh well, sure. But you can't really predict that two of your predicted 'starting' WRs are going to suffer serious injuries just to keep a guy on the roster.

Just watched EP5. Fishing is involved in the beginning, so enjoyed it a lot. Didn't realize just how much of a fishing enthusiast Chris Jones is.

The McDuffie bit is really good as well.

As usual, another really good episode.

episode 6 is another tear jerk...

erm great episode.

what a great cast and production team.

Hammock Parties 10-27-2023 02:02 AM

only watched a few minutes

dante hall ring of honor reveal made me tear up something fierce

this team is an absolute juggernaut - the players can sense how great a team this is and the momentum they have now...PHEW...

don't think i've ever seen a team more confident in the reid era, and watching that, you can see the immense HUNGER from guys who don't have rings, like Tranquil and Donovan Smith - Super excited to be here and ride the Mahomes train

strangely very little hardman coverage, wanted more

i think we steam roll denver, shock the world in germany and put a stamp on this season on MNF...given the way hurts is playing, that might be a blowout

YES I SAID IT

the only adversary the chiefs have, is themselves...

the only thing i can say, if we fail, is due to attrition from the last five plus years. that's a helluva lotta games the chiefs have played.

Mahomes, Kelce and Jones have played almost an entire additional season from 2018-2022, with 14 playoff games.

Haven’t watched it yet but production for an an episode has to be close to two weeks right? I feel like they usually they cover two games an episode. Sometimes anyway. Hardman may have his own breakout segment next episode.

I feel like there are many compelling stories about people and events in the Chiefs’ orbit, yet they waste time on Mitch Holtus repeatedly. That shit is getting boring.

It works when he narrates, but I really don’t want to hear about his process over and over. Never good to stroke such a raging narcissist’s ego. And I never want to see him in a stocking cap again.

They could have spent the whole episode talking about Reid’s accomplishment and getting more interviews with his coaches. That was compelling.

Kelce wont let anything get in the way of his journey to immortality. You have worldwide greats dating each other and you think one of them is going to take their foot off the gas?

He’s not going to retire before or at the same time as his brother, barring injury or some other calamity. That puts another year or two on the clock, at a minimum.

Hoover 12-15-2023 10:52 AM

Agree. I think he plays the two years remaining on his contract.

Once the season is over he will get to travel and **** around with Taylor, and then like very man, he will want to get back to work.
