This is pretty cool. Hopefully they do some cross-pods with the other KCSN guys. |
Whole squad of bundle of stickss and one of the hottest chick's in KC

I like the KCSN guys so much more than Time's Ours.
TO is like 90% those guys laughing amongst themselves with nonsense and 10% actual content that I care about. I was kinda happy when they said they were done. I think Lane/Stout/Swanson are really good and thoughtful. |
Does it come with Jello

Seth is good and has real content. Nate sometimes has a little of insider-ish info. Josh addsnothing. But when the three of them are together, oh my, it's so painful. The whole is so much less than the sum of the parts. |

Times Ours is light - no question. Empty calories for the most part. But sometimes I'm cool with a bag of popcorn instead of a ribeye. KCSN is the best, though. And Times Ours is going to be a nice change of pace. And really this kinda always felt like a foregone conclusion once The Athletic pulled the plug. |
I like the show in season. Off season is borderline bad after the draft. They should also never use pictures of themselves.
|
Another shitty podcast. Don’t we have enough of those? KCSN, etc, exists because of Mahomes. All these podcasts exist because of Mahomes. What a time lol.

Never really liked the rest of the KCSN content, but the Time's Ours guys are the best there is.

I can't listed to Locked On at all. That drove me nuts. For broad NFL stuff, nothing is better than Robert Mays and Nate Tice on The Athletic podcast (and now Chase Daniels has a segment). The Ringer stuff with Steven Ruiz and Ben Solak is always excellent as well. Around the NFL is lighter and fun. But the best all around is Chris Simms. So enjoyable. |

Today, for instance, he made a REALLY good contrast between the Jones camp and the Hill camp. Hill, with Drew Rosenhaus - an experienced and excellent GM - had all these pieces in motion pre-draft. He knew his client wanted to be the #1 WR so he went to the Chiefs and confirmed they wouldn't do that. Once that happened he got to work finding a team that WOULD do that and then creating a bidding war on the open market sufficiently strong enough to ensure that a team would be willing to make an offer that would convince the Chiefs to pull the trigger. That was Rosenhaus behind the scenes moving pieces around and using connections to make sure his client got what he wanted and giving the Chiefs ample motivation to accommodate him. Compare that to these ****ing clown Katz brothers and it's just a night and day difference. Rosenhaus recognized that "**** you, pay me" wasn't going to do his client any good. He recognized that working in his clients best interests required that he also work on accommodating the Chiefs best interests. And with that, his client became the #1 paid wide receiver in football. Whereas Katz is out there simply giving the Chiefs the bird after seemingly hiding the ball for several months. Good agents work wonders. And Nate often has a little of the insight on the inside with the Chiefs that helps him bring that insight. |

Pictures or I don't believe you. |
KCSN is weird to me.
There isn't much of a gap to fill in terms of sports content and information that doesn't already exist between national networks, local TV and radio stations and the million plus podcasts out there. And it's not like they can ever expand their brand outside of the metro with a name like Kansas City Sports Network. Seems like a bit of a bros club who were unhappy in their previous roles and decided to start a circle jerk. |

That's a good group. |
I can stomach Locked ON as long as I don’t have to look at Clark.

Is this better or worse than that redheaded bundle of sticks with the dumb facial expressions on Youtube?

On today's pod, what is a pod by the way like a pea pod? Anyway we'll discuss the art of using a coupon and why there are no more Ben Franklin stores, like why aren't there? Also the Chiefs are good. |

Also I like Ryan and Chris and it's fun to celebrate with them when the Chiefs win. |

I thought she left KC for some reason. |
I liked the Locked On guys for a while back when they first started. Seems like that's one of the first podcasts that Seth Keysor was sitting in on, and Matt Derrick is reasonably connected to what's going on in the org. It was nice to have daily content, while a lot of other podcasts were on a weekly schedule or weren't specifically focused on the Chiefs.
But over time, it started to feel like there was a lot of talking for talking's sake going on. I was neither entertained by the banter nor felt like I ever learned anything. Now any time I try to go back, I just can't handle it. For better or worse, KCSN has basically sucked up all of the Chiefs podcasts I care about (with AHPKC being another one in my rotation). |

I don't need it as refined as a Ted Talk or anything, but a LITTLE polish wouldn't hurt... |

There are certainly many options with more substance than you'll get from them, but they make me laugh. |

They did this at Arrowhead Pride and didn't get paid and now they're doing a solid job in their own right. I just like it bc it's all Chiefs all the time and these guys are Chiefs fans. It's also former players. They aren't Adam Teicher's who are bland as hell with no investment to the team. It's not just KC doing this either. DNVR for example is doing the same thing in Denver and it's as big of a success. There's a reason ESPN and local sports radio/journalism is failing. The smaller grassroots companies like KCSN are taking over. |

Faces being shown is a game changer for me here
No matter how good the take or insider the knowledge I can’t unsee that shit |
Do KCSN podcasts generally have terrible audio quality? Compared to the Athletic pods, the first episode of OWGs is almost unlistenable - seems like the bitrate was reduced significantly. I wouldn’t recognize any voices if I didn’t know who they were.
