|
Dude is straight wrecking shit today.
|
Give him the money
|
Too bad he's about to fall off.
|
If he stays this hungry all season the D is going to have some fun.
Hopefully his body recovers from the shock without any issues this week. |

Such an amazing player.
|
He's playing like this, because he has an incentive based contract and he's playing for his next contract. Not sure he'll be so hungry when he gets the big contract.

But great player when he's on the Chiefs. Foolish to pay him beyond next year. |
Same, Jones I’m sorry I yelled at you. Also, Veach please pay Chris whatever he’s asking for, if it’s Aaron Donald money please give him that. He deserves it

Chris Jones is a self motivated individual. I can respect that. He came in. Was working hard. Focused on his craft.
|
He really showed up big, tip of the cap
But Charles Davis did make one good point, surprising as that may be... he wondered how well CJ would recover after this for next week, without the benefit of camp etc I think its a very fair point, he will likely look less explosive next week But whatever, just glad he's back |
he did this with almost no offseason or practice
this game put him firmly in the DT category for me one of those special guys who can roll out of bed hungover and rape faces |
Quote:

pretty impressive that he did that with no training camp. That man came ready
|
Yes sir, pay this man.

Richie James is the best WR on the team. I’m going to put his face in my avatar. Derp derp It’s week 2 and my avatar is blank. |
Chris Jones never doubted you. I knew you be back!
|
Jones was a beast today. Hopefully he keeps it going every week.
|
From now on I'm just going to call him Mr. Chris, Sir...

Guy was an absolute force.
He just destroys rushing from DE anymore. Tackles just seem helpless |
in case you're thinking about giving away a little cash to your loyal fans, i was never mad at ya, Chris. Always wanted Veach to give you a bag. Not a $30 million bag, but a $27 million one. If that counts, let me know, I'll send you my zelle info, Sacknation.
Glad you're back, buddy. |
Kept the team in the ballgame early (and late). Apologies to Clint Eastwood but Chris Jones is The Enforcer.
|
I am not well versed on the business side of football, but isn't it a no brainer to keep an integral part of a Super bowl team that is under contract? I get you have to posture and not get rolled by one player but the defence is solid with Chris and doesn't having a realistic chance to go back translate into mucho dinero for the franchise? Seems like it the cost/benefit ratio should pencil out.

31 snaps, 1.5 sacks, 1 TFL, 2 QB hits and a pass breakup LMAO

Chris Jones played in 31 of 64 defensive snaps against the Jaguars Sunday, including 11 as an edge rusher. I also want to apologize
|
Yeah I said some mean shit. He proved he is essential. I take it all back.
|
I’m gonna apologize as well. Chris I was wrong… we need you. Whatever you’re asking for it’s clear Veach needs to give it to you and you deserve it
|
Nah. What he did was still silly so he doesn’t get a free pass, but I am glad he’s come around. Played awesome and I hope he continues to. He truly looked like a different player today.
Glad he pulled his head out of his agents ass |
Gladly eating crow on my Jones takes. He's every bit as good as he bet on himself to be.

We get the best version of Chris when he's playing for money
|
tbf no one wanted CJ gone we just wanted him to show up and play on the contract he signed and agreed to play on and the Chiefs offered a generous ext. to pay him. He made a stank about it so im not sorry, I am just glad he and his agents came to the realization that it was collosally stupid to hold out and not get paid.
That being said, thank you CJ for your contributions to my favorite team the KC Chiefs! |
honestly I still think he needs to get rid of his agents, I don't think they are doing him any favors. But at the same time I was surprised how well he played since he hasn't taken a snap since the superbowl.
|
Can we all chip in for a "I'm Sorry Chris Jones" banner?
|
Nah, you could have helped us win last week. Should have been on the field so I'm still agitated about that. With this defense and the front of our schedule, we absolutely had a chance to go undefeated. But you're here now so let's go win a superbowl. Still would like to keep you.

CJ wrecked this play or it might have went for a really long gain or TD.

Chris said, before his charity event at McDonald’s, that he had been in Miami working out doing a lot of the same things he’d have been doing in training camp.
Sounds like he was telling the truth, and working out in the Miami summer probably helped him be ready for the Jacksonville game. |

I'm glad he's here. The disagreement was never about this year, though. It's about 2-3 years from now when he's declined and still wants to be paid $30m+.

I agree with King and O.City don't think it would have went for a TD but definitely a first down or longer gain. |
