It’s time to trade for Hopkins.
**** Skyy Moore.
Go get Hopkins |
gotta do something
|
That ain't happening. They would have to eat his entire bonus.
|
Should have been done before the season started.
|
too bad we don't have a trade partner that may or may not be colluding like the Eagles have with the Titans. Nobody is gonna want to trade a good WR to the Chiefs, they know that's all we need to run it back
|
I was told this is a Top 5 WR core in the league. Repeatedly tried to warn you guys. These guys are awful. Rice is ok but hes still developing. The rest of the guys get cut from some teams sans MVS who is a one trick pony.

Trade for somebody... anybody.

It’s too late. Titans looked too good today

It's "corps." |
You turn the ball over 5 ****ing times I don't care if you have prime terrell owens, you aren't winning many games.
|
Tennessee is one game out of a playoff spot and they have some actual excitement for the first time in years because their young QB lit up. Can't imagine they'd make that kind of move without a serious overpay.
|
They won’t do shit. They’ll trot these losers out there and horribly embarrass themselves once we get to the meat of the schedule starting next week.

Aka ....dirt cheap |
We don't need WR's that catch the ball for TD's.
|
Hopkins isn't going to fix a team that commits this many turnovers. We shot ourselves in the dick.
Then the foot. Then in the head. |
Should've resigned juju.
|
If we weren’t on the verge of solidifying a dynasty, I would be patient.
But we’re right there, they should do something |
Quote:
Most teams don’t do that |

Last year it was JuJu. It doesn’t have to be a superstar, but they gotta do something |

Still not sure why we didn’t go after Ridley. Was he expensive or something?

The Titans aren't going to trade him.

They put all their eggs in the baskets of Moore and Toney and they have both failed miserably. There’s no coming back from it until next season when we’re literally starting from complete scratch at WR except for Rice. |
If Veach is the gm god like we make him out to be, he’ll land both Hopkins and theilen, but as stingy as he is with draft picks, we’ll probably just roll with what we have.
|
Clearly we should not have done what we did at WR this off-season, but there’s no fixing it mid season. Gonna have to lie in the bed we made this year.

We aren’t trading

I mean it is something. :D |

I believe we would be in a much different situation if it wasn't for Jones not wanting to sign a deal. |

What will you offer me for a slightly used Jerry Jeudy?

We have two NFL caliber WRs on this roster in Rice and freaking Justin Watson. That’s it. We’re in trouble. |
Quote:
I like Justin but he's a WR5 at best on any other roster. |
Every time we’ve won a superbowl we brought in a Ravens player mid year. I’m taking my shot on a former Ravens player on the 1-7 Cardinals. Hollywood Brown WR
|
I knew Skyy was likely a bust. What really disappoints me is Toney. I figured he would contribute more than he has. 18 catches for 105 yards and 5 carries for -2 yards through 8 games. Woof.
At least Rice looks pretty good. Aside from that horrid drop today. |
Dumb ****ing thread...
|
If we make a trade it should be for Mooney. Speed and a 1k WR in Nagy's offense in Chicago.
I'll take any WR that can get open AND catch at this point though. There must be a few of those lying around eating Cheetos right now. |
Tennessee probably wants to keep Hopkins so they can give Will Levis a strong beginning phase of his career.

Turns out, even Mahomes needs good targets. Who could've known

If you wanted Hopkins, you were a dummy because we have 8 future Pro Bowlers under age 25 at WR. |
Chiefs going to be about what I buy at a bar. One round

Hey, I can't argue. Statistically, Watson has played fairly well, considering what he is. But he's not a top-4 WR on any roster, except this one. Rashee is the only Chiefs WR on the roster that another NFL team might put out there among their top three WRs. |

That’s hardcore. |

2-3 weeks ago, I was in the “gotta ride it out” group in terms of what to do with the WR position…it’s clear this offense needs another WR and it’s not looking like anyone but Rice is separating from the pack and even he has his serious questions.
It’s definitely time to try to add a starting quality WR to the mix. |
Quote:
There was a lot of " This has the potential to be with certain conditions." This was said at the end of the preseason by some. I didn't read anyone guaranteeing it though. |
Why don't we just go get JJ while we're at it?

They're not good. Worse, except for Rice, they haven't improved at all from last season. MVS, Toney and Skyy have actually regressed statistically. And those three were supposed to be our starting three WRs. But it's okay. At least we didn't screw up our cap situation by rolling with the least talented WR room in the NFL. And we're probably still the 4th best offense (total yards) in the league, so kudos to KC for hanging onto that title for another week. |
Rice seems to have some potential of being dynamic but everyone else seems to have only one skill which teams easily account for.

Nobody is trading an impact receiver to this team. The last thing the league wants is a legit WR that Mahomes can feed and take pressure off of Kelce.
If you TRULY want to trade for someone, call up Carolina and offer something for Thielen because that's probably about as good as it's going to get. |

All this was is a team with a sick QB that is the engine that runs our O not looking like what we are accustomed to. Looking ahead to Miami and fun at Octoberfest in Germany. If I was Andy I would take the team at the last date by leagues he can. When they are there load them up with meetings to keep their focus. Typical overlooked this opponent and found out.
