I really like Solak. Good read.

I like the Kansas City Chiefs more than any other nfl team

That was fun going through this and watching the tape. Love seeing things come together on D.

The beautiful part about all of this is that WE KNOW the offense is going to get better and be more effective. At some point, Mahomes is gonna do what he does and be Mahomseian again. We're 7-2 and we haven't seen the best of this O yet. Thank you, Defense!

Toub needs to buy into that complementary theme.
Because continuously encouraging your returners to field punts within the 5 yard line, resulting in terrible starting field position is decidedly non-complementary. |
As I'm watching those clips, the whole time I'm in the head of the offense as though I'm playing Madden and trying to figure out what to do.
And literally the entire time I'm thinking "********************...." I mean good lord that man creates some chaos out there. It's just a total maelstrom and these dudes are coming HARD. |

Spags call was that similar look but it dropped everyone and the play ended up being 7 vs 3 on the back end with us dominating. Shortly after they shows Spags smiling LMAO |
"Complimentary" Just another word to say the offense has been a disappointment. As are all the "Reid is just saving things for the playoffs!" disastrous takes

2-4 sounds pretty great or, even better, 2-5 with another playoff L mmmm, tasty! |

Then against Miami you saw him do some of those same things but also combine them with the blitzes (the CB blitz early being the most obvious example) to just completely mind-**** the QB. I mean he baited Tua into simply calling the wrong protection with some of those slides and by isolating Jones. And times when he only sent 4 he'd make it look like he was sending 6-7. And on the fumble at the end he sent (I think) 7 but WANTED Tua to know he was sending 7 to try to rattle him, IMO. I mean NOBODY disguised anything there. It was an absolute masterpiece. Everything he did was perfect. It was a culmination of a dozen different things that Spags will show on occasion but all rolled into a single gameplan that made life absolute hell for Tua. I honestly don't know how any QB could've dealt with that defensive gameplan on Sunday. Mahomes would've struggled like crazy with it. It was as brilliantly done as anything we've seen from Reid on the offensive side of the ball. And I didn't like the hire one bit. But man has this guy been a godsent the last couple of seasons. Truly one of the best out there and he's pretty unique in his approach (as opposed to just being another Fangio acolyte). I'm not sure if he'll ever get the kind of credit that someone like Dick Lebeau got - I think LeBeau made the Hall as a coordinator, didn't he? But I'm starting to think that he just might deserve it. |

i’ve been saying we turned into a complimentary football team since the beginning of the year. the offense is now playing thru the defense. setting up the punter, if you will ;)

Great article but I hate the term “complementary football”.
It’s a term that usually indicates you’re talking to a football dinosaur. |

They're doing it again, but with Mahomes the ceiling is much, much higher. And when we beat the Eagles 17-14 everyone can lick our balls!!! |

It's amazing to watch a master chef cook now that he's finally got the ingredients to make his best dish.
