In the Afterglow of Grudge ****ing the Faid...How are you feeling?
I'm feeling pretty good. Here's some thoughts I had.
We can say yeah but all day long, but the Faid were playing ball, and we put it on them. Mahomes looked dialed in. Decisive, tight, precise. If that dude hits his stride down the stretch, buckle up bitches... I thought Kelce looked fast. Not sure what the difference is between this week and the last few games, but he looked faster. Here's to hoping he stays healthy. Skyy Moore actually did something. That big gainer was mostly him. Still a bust, just surprising to see. I like watching Rashee Rice play football. End. Sneed got wrecked early, but really locked it down. I wonder what changed? I want to hear the sister****ers saying the Chiefs get all the calls. Holy balls. I didn't need to see the graphic with Taylor and Sneed's totals. ****. Look at Andy Reid running power in short yardage. Maybe it's the Faid, maybe it's something reproducible, but I'll take the win. I miss Jet. Goddamn he's savvy and we sure miss it when he's not available. Unfortunately, I think we're getting close to the end of the runway for Jet. Hopefully he's got one more postseason run in him. It was reassuring to see scores late. I think It was just a flukey bad run, and hopefully we'll see reversion to the mean, but maybe it's just Faid. I didn't watch too close, but Wanya Morris didn't get Mahomes killed. That's a pretty big positive. Hopefully Smith is OK, I didn't pay attention to see if he came back in. Smith takes some shit here, but he's been easy to root for IMO. Hard telling what was just the faid and what was real, but lots of things to be encouraged about. What did you guys see? |
Feeling great. Even with the Jags winning today, I still think 13-4 gets the 1 seed for the Chiefs.
Let’s go beat the Packers, and that’s a very attainable record. |
Today was a better game but are still only 50% of the way there.
Still gotta fix some shitty play. Penalties at horrible times and drops. |
Yep. Great win. Sneed is his DC's pupil. Adams did his thing in the first half (quarter mostly) and Sneed made adjustments. And poof, Adams wasn't heard from again.
|
WE'RE WINNING IT ALL!!!!!
|
Blessing in disguise to be without Toney and Hardman even though I’d like Toney to be a more normal part of the offense instead of all the gadget stuff. It seems like with him and Hardman we have to specifically call stuff for them any time we want them targeted which probably interferes with rhythm.
And it was nice to focus on Rice instead of Watson so much. We know what Watson is and it’s not any teams receiver who should be getting the most looks. |
I'm feeling horney
|
chiefs showed they still have a gear offensively where a 2-score deficit is small potatoes
meanwhile, the defense showed what we've known for 4 years - when spags wants to slam the door shut, spags slams the door shut we good |

221 came on their first 3 drives. 137 on their last 7 drives. |
I feel a lot better than I did.

It feels like we're figuring out things. I realize it was the Raiders but they have been playing much better. We just need to work on the drops and penalties.

No different, really. The team executed better today and played fairly well after going down 14-0. Typical of this team, we never take the easy way.
It was nice to see Rice have a pretty big day. Penalties on the offense are still at epidemic levels. Defense was shaky at times against a relatively poor opponent. Moore made one decent play but Moore/MVS still get too many snaps for guys who offer next to nothing. The team is who we know that they are at this point. Results depend on which team shows up, but this Chiefs team seems lesser than last year’s team. This team doesn’t have that sense of inevitability, that someone will make a play at a key time, a critical catch, etc. We got used to the miraculous, in a way. You don’t get the same sense with this team and our weapons on offense. |

I think you need to be "the one" who officially is our new "George"(gblowfish) for "The ten things about today's game" post-game write up. What say you???

I’m feeling confident.
The Raiders came out firing and with a lot of confidence. Dominated that first quarter while the Chiefs were a lot flat (and out game-planned initially on D). KC adjusted in a major way and the Raiders had no answer. And that’s a team that has been playing well on D and had a strong game against the freaking Dolphins last week. Hopefully this is a progression moment for how they use Rice and Moore moving forward. I love Rice’s ability on those crossing routes. It’s a good way to shake him free on man, as is the back shoulder throw. Mahomes looked confident and decisive. Kelce looked healthy. D adjusted and played a really strong second half. A little adversity at mid season before they hit the home stretch is OK by me. Keep protecting the football, keep catching the football, keep relying on run game power in short yardage, keep leaning into 12 sets, and I think they cruise down the back stretch and hit stride for the playoffs. |

I see what you did their |
Feeling good.
Really impressed by Sneed's ability to adjust and forget about the previous play. CEH seemed to have a little more spark than I've seen in a long time. Not suggesting him as a long term solution, but doesn't hurt to have an extra RB capable of running the ball. In short yardage Chiefs ran Pacheco behind the best interior Oline in thge NFL. Keep doing that. Would feel even better if Chiefs had gone to hurry-up when Crosby went in the game so he would not be able to sub-out, then repeatedly run to his side with a center and guard pulling.....not a game winning strategy, would just like to see Crosby get repeatedly buldozed. |
I feel like I'm going to go plow my fiancé and then go to bed!

Much, much better! Rice and Pacheco as well as Kelce looked terrific today! Need the Chargers to beat the Ravens to make the week complete! Go Chargers!:thumb:

The gear.
It lives. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Before today, only once in their history had the Chiefs trailed by at least 14 and gone on to win by at least 14.<br><br>And you know which one it was. <a href="https://t.co/4U58DQQmeG">pic.twitter.com/4U58DQQmeG</a></p>— Kurtis Seaboldt (@KSeaboldt) <a href="https://twitter.com/KSeaboldt/status/1728964041937428956?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 27, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
I mentioned it in the WR thread, but I feel like we saw some 'playoff Chiefs'.... the obvious thing about the receivers that people have complained about is the rotation, and that clearly wasn't going to continue going into the playoffs.
It's frustrating for us to watch, but whether it's saving players, not giving teams too much to watch, whatever... they were going to eventually do what everyone thought they should be doing. I'm curious what happened on the sidelines today. It wasn't just that they started going to Kelce and Rice, and it wasn't that Mahomes came into the game dialed in.... but, he got dialed in. They very quickly got some swagger back that we hadn't seen lately. Defensively... maybe they were a bit gassed from last week as well as they played in that game, but the Raiders dude was making passes and they have some guys who can catch it. Overall..... definitely satisfying to see them get into sync on offense. As much as you might say "they'll be fine" and have that confidence, it's always good to see the potential for yourself, even against a sub-500 team. Wouldn't say this game moved the needle a ton for me... not like last week's defensive effort. Glad they un-****ed themselves after being down 14-0 though. |

I've been saying all season fix the drops and turnovers and the chiefs are unstoppable (a hot take from a brilliant football mind for sure) and that's what they did so I'm pretty happy. I think they'll build on it too. Chiefs are getting real good at the right time
|
Raiders came out strong. I think the interim coach went beta when not going for it on 4th and 1 in the red zone when they had all the momentum. If you are an interim coach, against KC….you have to go big while you have the momentum. He pussed out and settled for a FG and the miss was just the icing of a failed call.
Crosby was a shell of himself today and shoulldbt have played after KC took the lead and had taken over the game. Raiders interim coaches aren’t the long term answer so they will need to clean house yet again. Aiden OConnell had a few fantastic dimes but otherwise has zero mobility and the game is still too fast for him. Likely a career backup. KC looked fine and Pacheco runs violently which I like. Raiders played soft zone and KC threw soft stuff underneath all day and the Raiders did t adapt. I still think you guys need a real receiver threat especially deep to solidify the offense. Today Pacheco and Kelce was enough but the Raiders still suck and a lower tier team. Better teams will keep you guys close |

It seemed both the Chiefs and Eagles started real slow after the big game last MNF. Not sure if that was the reason but a possibility to consider. Once the Chiefs got their footing they dominated despite some strange playcalls and penalties still popping up. Wanted to see them punch it in 1st and goal from the 5 and not a FG but at least we got the win and positive momentum. |
It was a normal win. Still have concerns about our vertical passing but love the defense and it helps there are not a lot of good AFC teams still time to sort this out.

Feeling really good. I think we are much more likely than not to grab the #1 seed. Win the next two (@GB, Buf) and we should be absolutely cruising. More than anything else I love the way the field of 7 is laying out in the AFC. No Burrow, Herbert or likely Allen is enormous as those teams and QBs have traditionally given us trouble. Really like our chances to get back to the SB

Good win today

Crosby was ineffective for sure. That dude can ****ing play (unfortunately). But you guys were playing ball. I don't think you suck (at least anyhmore). McDouche was just that bad. Reason 7,891,615,613,224,981,199,999,219,516,548,916,252,933,364,968,516 not to hire some Brother****ing Cheatriot ****bag. |
Felt the same as I did entering the game.
AOC is a dud. He is a career backup in the USFL. Pierce is a meathead who the fans likes because he played Straight Outta Compton at practice and rants about the Raiders aWay. Crosby shouldn't have been playing today. Too injured and he plays too many snaps. He is asking to break down like JJ Watt. Jacobs had one good run and otherwise was nonexistent. The team lacks depth and talent. |
What is Crosby injury?
All I heard was knee. |
I was the one last week telling Chiefs nation to calm down. Mahomes and Reid will get this figured out. I actually got told to **** off and other niceties towards my mother.
|
Admittedly, I had a grumpy feeling during the first half of this game. Glad to see the end result. Not really worried. This is a very quality team. We have been pretty lucky with injuries, outside of Bolton. And he should be back. We good...
|
Always good to get the win and definitely feeling more confident with getting some second half points and Rice and Kelce's game. The biggest confidence boost for me was the usage of Rice and that back shoulder completion. That sort of play is what'll determine his growth, and honestly, I think this whole season. He was pretty well covered, Mahomes threw it anyway and he caught it anyway. If they start trusting him and using like that there's another gear there.
The rest I kinda feel as I did about. |
Great to get the win; was feeling a little/lot uneasy after the first three Raider drives with them just marching it down the field and eating the clock. The team really needed this to get headed in the right direction.
|
Better. Using Rice more is the first step to success and I got my wish

Wanna show a little love to Clyde too. He had a couple big plays and tough runs (one of which was negated by a hold). His times almost up here, but he was a nice change of pace back today.
Would have liked to see some Perine, but Cheat Code was killing them. |
|
One thing I noticed, which jumped out to me. It was in the second half, Chiefs were facing 3rd down, Mahomes couldnt escape the pocket on a pass play. He probably didnt want to, but he just went down and took the sack. In the past, we've seen him try to get the ball off and force a throw downfield, with normally poor results. Maybe it was nothing, but I sure noticed it, and thought maybe he was protecting the ball better?
|
As fun as that win was, the next time we play in their stadium…. It’s gonna be for back to back!
|
Any day we bitch slap the faid is a good day

Pat rarely screws up the game centric decisions. IIRC we had a lead we were protecting and I think it was a conscious choice to eat that one. |
