Zach Ertz asks Cardinals for release; wants to go to contender

Sure! Come'on down!
...Feels like NFL shouldn't allow players to force their way off losing team and into the playoffs this way though. |
Watch Baltimore get him
|
I’ve heard of him. LFG!!!!
|
GET ON THE PHONE BLEATCH!!!!!!
|
Need scho to treat him to a $100 lunch to convince him to come to KC
|
Noah Grey is better and 10 years younger.
|
Noah Gray may have more juice at this point, BUT! I HAVE heard of him, SOOOOO

Gotta think Ravens here. I had to go look but he was drafted in Chip Kelly's first year in Philly. Wasn't sure if he'd been drafted by Reid in his last season or two there but there's no connection.

Nah. Gray is good enough. And we don't need another body who doesn't stretch the field.
|
Make it happen Blart!
|
I’d gladly take him over Bell, but not sure what role we would have for him here. Noah has done well in his role
Miami or Baltimore probably make sense |

Already released you from my fantasy team, Ertz.
|
I'm fine with Baltimore signing him. Just try and pretend he's Mark Andrews and see how that works for you.
|
I thought he might be washed when traded to Cardinals but he still looked like he had some juice last year.
Hasn't really done squat this year, seems Trey Mcbride getting more targets and opportunities but don't know if that is based on merit. |
Te 3

Eagles could use him too. Goedert is out right?

Goedert might be back for the SF game, as of 3 days ago. https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/...ht-end-forearm Regardless, it seems that he's going to be healthy enough to play pretty soon. I think BAL has to be the team. Ertz might not be much of a run-blocker, but he can still run routes and catch the ball, and be a big target in the RZ/EZ. And Lamar needs a TE security blanket badly. |

Nevermind. Been debunked. |
Huh? He absolutely has to go through waivers.
|
It's very likely given his contract that he won't be claimed, but after the trade deadline all players are subject to waivers after being released.

****er should get healthy before asking a damn thing.

With Goedert banged up hes an automatic eagle.

I’ll never see his name and not think of a guy in my fantasy football league who named his team “My Ball Zac Ertz”.
|
I'd take him as 3rd TE for us
|

He'll go unclaimed. The teams late in the order will spin the wheel and take their chances and I'm betting ONE of them already had an under the table agreement lined up with his agent before he made the request. Though I could see some team with a little surplus cap throwing a block on Baltimore or Philly just to do so. |

With Andrews out, Ravens will sign him.

I mean are we really acting like we wouldn’t take Ertz if he wanted to come here?
I think we can use all the help we can get. I’m sure we could find a use for him. It would be nice to see Kelce make it to the playoffs without being beat to living hell, he could help make sure that happens. He also had his best years (including a 116 catch campaign) playing in this system for Doug Pederson. |

I also don't know how the contract thing works. Is the claiming team responsible for the approx 2.5M but if he becomes a FA, they start from scratch? At that point it just becomes a bidding war and he choses who he wants and they potentially pay more than they would have if they had just claimed him. And again, i have to wonder just how much he will contribute. |
I WANNA GO TO A CONTENDER

Eagles I would guess

I agree with others on here.
1. Chiefs have Kelce and Gray so in KC he would be the 3rd TE and if he played really well might move up to the 2nd TE. 2. Baltimore and Philadelphia could use him on their teams. 3. TE Zach Ertz will not be coming to Kansas City. |
I honestly cannot believe nobody put in a waiver claim for him. I kind of expected Indy to do it since they remain in contention for a playoff spot and don't have a TE worth a shit.

Dallas Goedert is injured. On what planet does he end up anywhere other than back in Philly?

It would be nice to have him in our 3 tight end sets . I would gladly trade out Bell for Ertz.

Have we signed this piece of shit yet?

Ertz an interesting one. I don't even care anymore.
Yes, please. |
The Chiefs would be fools not to be in on the guy. Find a use for him, I don't care. Line him up at RB like they do with Toney, wouldn't be anymore stupid than the other crap they're coming up with at this point.
|
I've seen enough. If he's still available, sign Ertz today. A true professional receiver, even an aging 2nd tier TE, would be far better than anything we have in the WR room right now.

Do it. |
Honestly, we should just start targeting Noah Gray more often. He is by far and away the 3rd best pass catching option we have.
