WHAT ABUSE JAWAAN!!!
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Exactly half of the league-leading 32 penalties that have been called on the Chiefs’ offensive line have been called on Jawaan Taylor.</p>— Kurtis Seaboldt (@KSeaboldt) <a href="https://twitter.com/KSeaboldt/status/1731506567223054445?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 4, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

He's been in his own head since Week 1. He's had to adjust how he plays RT after the league not targeting him for his first 4 years.
Funny how Lane Johnson can false start and line up wrong all he wants though. |
League leading. Good lord half to one guy? Mahomes is fighting a massive up hill battle this year. Penalties, wr suckage, drops. It's pathetic.

great thread title
OL will give up 0 sacks in the postseason cementing our dynasty and we bump this |

He's certainly the NFL Refs whipping boy when the Chiefs play. Some of it is legit, but GMAFB. They are absolutely targeting JT in every game
|
Was still our best option at a tackle signing soooooo what do you want?
|
It was...funny (not sure if that's the word) when Collinsworth tried to compliment Jawaan in the GB game. Something like, "Since that first game when he was lining up wherever he wanted and getting a head start on every snap he's played much better."
When in fact it was Collinsworth pissing his pants about Taylor's alignment the first game of the season when everyone was watching prompting officiating crews to target him (as evidenced by Andy's trick in the JAX game). Thanks Chris you disingenuous pustule. |

I think an argument could be made that you sign someone cheaper at RT and invest some of that $$$ in w WR, but it is what it is. |

I hope Chris Collinsworth's lungs collapse mid broadcast

Every time I watch an Eagles game I cant help but think Jawaan is getting absolutely ****ed because Lane Johnson is writing a ****ing book on lining up too deep and getting early starts.

There's an idea out there that Taylor is only getting pre-snap penalties, but he's got 8 pre and 7 post-snap penalties. He has 15 accepted penalties and the next highest o-lineman in the NFL has 10.

The NFL has ruined the man's career because of a horrible job announcing the Lions game. He's still being watched like a hawk and getting penalties for things others aren't at the same rate.

They could have dicked around and ended up making one or two really desperation moves for tackles later in FA/draft that were even worse from an investment/fit KC offense. Orlando was a plan B move when it turned out silver dude really didn't want to play with KC. No guarantees KC would get Donavon Smith. |

He had 10 penalties in the first 4 games (including 5 in week 2 when he had a clear target on his back), and 6 in the last 8 games. If he's keeping Mahomes upright and healthy, I would say that 6 in 8 weeks is acceptable.

It’s been a terrible signing.
One of Veachy’s blackest marks. |

is he still tipping off defenses to if its run or pass or was that just part of his overall alignment issue.

If I was Taylor (and I’m surprised he hasn’t. ) I would cue up game film of every penalty he’s been called for. I would then line up game film of 95% of Lane Johnson’s plays that go unflagged. I would then cue up the most egregious holding that doesn’t get called. I would make that public every chance I had.

Every play where Mahomes leaves the pocket the DE throws their hands in the air begging for a flag
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I’m not saying this one isn’t a hold. Just that its third time I’ve shown them throw their hand up to get the hold call. As soon as the ref saw it, he found that yellow flag on the Mahomes scramble. <a href="https://t.co/8wARvBo3Lo">pic.twitter.com/8wARvBo3Lo</a></p>— Nick Jacobs (@Jacobs71) <a href="https://twitter.com/Jacobs71/status/1732201538943058333?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 6, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
When Jawaan does this: flag
When Lane Johnson does it every play of every game: no call <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Seahawks getting hurt by refs already. <br><br>Clear false start by the Eagles. <a href="https://t.co/cDnDBtzN5S">pic.twitter.com/cDnDBtzN5S</a></p>— Sports ON Tap Seattle (@SeattleONTap) <a href="https://twitter.com/SeattleONTap/status/1736920876279332989?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 19, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> This is what pisses me off |

The difference between Taylors and Lanes false start penalty rates is 2 more flags all season. I don't get the teeth gnashing between the two. The issue is that they both have to do it and now we're stuck in the position where we're mad they call it 0.8% of the time even though he actually false starts damn near every snap.
It's so dumb the NFL has allowed the two of them to get to this point. |
