Toney's penalty: A perfect summation of our ****ed up season
Each week we hope and pray that the drops will stop and they don't.
Each week we hope and pray that the penalties will stop and they don't. Each week we hope and pray that the turnovers will stop and they don't. It is not worth having high hopes when this team's roster is fundamentally flawed and no amount of time has fixed any of this shit. The Toney penalty was just another perfect example of how this team has lost every game except Denver due to beating themselves. It is just another perfect chapter in a season that will not end well. I will eat crow if I am wrong but I seriously doubt I will be. Just not our year. Accept it and look for major fixes as we hope to end the season with some positives. |
It was a lame penalty that’s never called.
|
Pat's pick lost the game with the HUGE momentum swing, sorry

He was lined up offsides.
If you don't think they should have called a penalty, that's a different argument. There were 3-4 penalties NOT called on the Bills. That's another argument and a valid one. |

Naw. Screwed by the refs twice in two weeks. Bust out some single malt.

Given they have like 20 self-inflicted issues per game, we're really only talking about improving by like 10%.... :D |
What a shitshow. Andy and Pat obviously pissed because the official never gave a warning which is what usually happens before a penalty.
|
With this receiving core, no room for error
|
Thank you to the The Border Patrol on WHB this morning for validating and repeating the theme of this thread.
Don't expect changes from the team, it ain't happening. They are what they are and will not go far in the playoffs. Let's hope we don't meltdown any further or we could lose the division. We are trending down. |

It's just been a really bad year. |

Chiefs have no one to blame but themselves. It was clearly a penalty. They had two opportunities in the last 7 minutes of the game and they failed to score. It was still second and 15 after the penalty and the chiefs didn’t complete another pass. They’re not going to beat good teams only scoring 17 points.

Let's face facts: the Chiefs are under the microscope of the officials and any chance they have to throw a flag against us, they will. So as a team, you need to be EXTRA CAUTIOUS and know what will likely happen.
I understand the entire seasons frustrations came out yesterday but it looked like sour grapes to the rest of he league. Fix your shit and you don't have to deal with the refs. |

I've never seen someone so badly off sides on offense, and I've seen it called many times of the years. Usually for a much less egregious offensive off sides. |

Since Toney checked with the refs and the refs did not adjust him as they do usually this is on the refs.
Two weeks in a row just like Mahomes said. |

You can see the yellow flag fly as the ball is snapped. With Toney being closest to the sideline throwing the flag,
|
Bill Maas on 810 today: “Schottenheimer would have cut KT today. Vince Lombardi would have as well.” Time to send a message to the rest of the WR room.

We will throw the baby out with the bathwater? What wr are you going to replace him with that has his potential for a big play, as well as the amount of suck it requires to still be on the street 14 weeks in? He's had some bad plays. He's also had big plays that helped win a superbowl. All you mother****ers screeching about this team winning titles any time they are criticized, can go ahead and apply that logic here. Should we fire Andy the next time he punts inside the 40 or pulls rice off the field in 3rd down? Those are equally boneheaded things that cost us possessions. Veach needs to go hard for Tee Higgins in the offseason and be preparing a trade package that includes draft capital and if possible Chris Jones to shore up this receiver group. |
Quote:
Just about any wide receiver in the current WR room can take KT’s reduced snap count and net the same results or better. Don’t make false analogies with other players. Of course you know so much more about an NFL locker room than Bill Maas, or other former players who have said the same thing. :spock: |

And thinking any WR can do this or that is how we ended up here. |
Also a 3rd round pick was used for Toney...CEH is still here...Skyy Moore still playing.
He isn't going anywhere using past decisions to base on. |
Problem is this isn’t Toney’s first time. Hes a liability on the field

He didn't squat on the sidelines the rest of the game because of a ref's ****up
|
He's so far offside you wonder how anyone could be so stupid. His entire damned body is in the neutral zone.
|
The cost-benefit of playing Toney this year is skewed so heavily against him. It's damn unfortunate he's such a space cadet mentally, given his physical tools.

He was offsides. Just as MVS was interfered with last week. The problem I'd the INCONSISTENCY of calls and the they see what they want to see mentality of nfl officiating. Look at Lane Johnson of the Eagles compared to how they officiate Jawan.
