NFL is reviewing Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes
Why do I feel like we're about to get ****ed?
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">While Patrick Mahomes' post-game comments will be reviewed, his on-field yelling aimed at the refs before the game ended and then on-field comments while cameras were rolling and present may be more of an issue. <a href="https://t.co/lLCInFjXU6">https://t.co/lLCInFjXU6</a></p>— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1734217477452619947?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 11, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
Gabbert prodded it on
|
Don't care, needed to be done.
|
Who cares?
Fining anyone that questions the refs is more shady BS. |
NRFl. National rigged football league.
|
They will be fined.. So what.. **** the NFL front office..
|
A QB1 can't lose it like that. It was a bad moment for him. I understand why he's so frustrated, but that's likely to hurt the team going forward.
|
Who gives a shit?
|
About to get ****ed? The refs have already wiped their dicks off on the bedsheet, smoked a cigarette, and tossed a wad of crumpled cash on the nightstand.
Carl Cheffers laughs at the word, "about". |
How will he afford to pay the inevitable fine?

They're literally not getting any calls as it is. |
Maybe this is how you tank for better WRs in today's NFL. Work it!
|
They’d seriously ****ing suspend him?
He’s Mahomes. He could murder one of those miserable bastards before they suspend him |
Quote:
Weird that Brady never did that….oh, wait!………. |
Oh no….anyways.
|
**** the NFL. They have plenty of money to pay the fines. It needed to be said.
|
Unless there is a vaccum cleaner involved I don't care.
|

I was thinking a hefty fine. |
Next thing you know they won’t even call PI when our receivers are getting a piggy back ride!

Probably suspend them immediately while Von still suits up and collects a check.
|
Won't even be a hefty fine. Andy has a stellar reputation in the league, and Mahomes is a model citizen.
Fine them both 10k and move on. At the end of the day, the NFL will not want too much attention on this--they like some attention to keep interest, but not too much to ruin the reputation of the shield. |

They're not even allowed to mention they get apology letters for bad calls...it's all very shady. |

You know one crew of refs think another crew is stinking it up. Or the human condition for refs has evolved. Don't see it

$10K or 100K doesn't matter. |

But in all seriousness, considering he didn't make physical contact with a ref, nor did he threaten them in any way ("They batter watch their backs" or something), I can't imagine they would suspend him for what he said. |
Anyone who thinks the NFL will suspend Mahomes call me. I've got some property in Yuma AZ that's going to be the new Malibu as soon as the big one hits California and it breaks off into the ocean. I'll sell it to you for 1/3 current Malibu prices.
|
Patrick Mahomes makes a lot of money for the NFL. Hopefully the NFL understands which side their bread is buttered on. If not, **** them.

While I agree with everything Mahomes said it's not going to help the team at all. |

Instead of parity the NFL provides parody

This wiped away the McDermott crisis. Something in two games tonight will likely overshadow this. Attention span are nanoseconds
|
The NFL should consider suspending Toney... and MVS as well... and Skyy Less.
|
People who think Mahomes will be suspended make me laugh. He will get a fine but no player has ever been suspended for calling out the refs
|
not even the nfl is dumb enough to hand out a suspension over this

Whatever.
To anyone that has ever ****ing watched football beyond just a casual fan level of engagement knows the refs are ****ing horribad. If the NFL makes a big deal about it, it will just draw more attention to it. So yeah, fire away Goodell. And Jesus, if he ends up suspended, set fire to the league. |
Von Miller plays a few days after beating up his pregnant girlfriend... but focus instead on Mahomes/Reid expressing frustration over the officiating.
|
This is the most current comparison (from 2022) I can find and Mahomes' situation is far less egregious:

0% chance we're talking about a suspension. |

I get the frustration by Mahomes. Dude's been trying to make chicken salad out of chicken shit all season, but the refs called it regardless. Focus that shit on your idiot WR's who keep making game-changing mistakes.

He picked a bad play to blow up over, but the refs have been atrocious against us this year.
It’s plain as day that they are only looking for penalties against us and in that focus are not paying attention to any committed against us. Every play of ours is examined under a microscope by officiating crews and other teams are not. |

Mahomes is on the ground with this helmet nearly pulled off and no call. This would lead to some extreme frustration if I am him after the offsides call. |

They're not going to suspend anyone for verbal assault, especially Mahomes. Get real.
|
They will both get fined but zero chance they are suspended
|
Here comes a 4-game suspension to knock KC out of the Playoffs.

He should double it, and pay it forward, in the next press conference.
Then make a commercial with whatever charity the money goes to just to rub it in. |

Tell 'em to review deez nuts, Andy.

F these refs and F the NFL. They are controlled by Vegas and, something needed to be said. We shouldn’t have let Cheffers walk out of Arrowhead last night.

If that "fire" had been confined to the sideline outburst, sure. But in 20 years we don't have a clip of Brady shaking the opposing QB's hand and saying, "worst ****ing call I've ever seen" and being a sore loser over it. And I'm having a hard time thinking of a press conference where Brady doubles and triples down, all while blasting what was a blatantly CORRECT call on the field. It was a bad look for a lot of reasons, and I have no doubt he'll learn from it and turn that fire to positive energy. Will the rest of the team? |

In another game, Brady literally stalked the referees into the locker room screaming at them about a call late in the game. Bill Belichick literally grabbed an official to scream at them after a call. MICHAEL JORDAN stalked a ref on a court and cussed them out to their face in the middle of the court. . We need to take a breath. Competitors compete. It’s part of who they are. This will pass. As quickly as McDermott’s love letter to the 9/11 hijackers did. |

Brady didn't shake Foles' hand after the SB loss. After 13 Seconds, Mahomes made it a priority to find Allen: Quote:

But MAN it's a bad look when you lose your shit on the sideline, make that comment to Josh - whether it was letting off steam with a friend or not - then double and triple down in the presser when you're 100% in the wrong. He just...wouldn't...stop. With that said, I'd bet it all that we'll never see it happen again. |

Reid sacrificed himself to draw attention to himself. HOF head coaching will level the moods
|
The worst part about this loss is we won’t get a chance to get the stink off until the playoffs. The next four games will do nothing to change the current season’s frustrations and failures.
