Welcome back, to 2017!

Mahomes 14/15 completions on passes at or behind the line of scrimmage.

Andy Reid and Co outclassed by inferior competition as the defense surrenders 10, and the offense once again can't get 3 scores and also gift-wrapped 2 scores to the defense.

Redzone struggles and chicken shit playcalls.

If these Chiefs do not figure out how to break 20 points, the season will end as it did in 2017. Mighty defensive effort, completely tragi-comic offense, and a loss in the first playoff game.

Nagy was the offensive coordinator of both campaigns.

It's not hard to see what happened here.

Classic Wallcrawler.

The start of this game felt like that Buffalo game at Arrowhead in 2017.

ThyKingdomCome15 12-25-2023 03:24 PM

2017? A young Tyreek and Travis? C'mon.

Gary Cooper 12-25-2023 03:27 PM

Alex Smith was the best deep ball passer in the NFL in 2017. Look at the stats.

That was prime Tyreek and Kelce. Lots of deep shots. Plus, Kareem Hunt.

This is more like 1996.

It's really hard to win when you give up back to back defensive scores.

On top of that - Mahomes looks like a nervous, jittery wreck behind this offensive line.

He clearly doesn't trust any of his receivers, and Kelce looks like he's lost a step... or two.

Mix it all together and you get what we witnessed today, and have been seeing for most of the season, honestly.

#Chiefs HC Andy Reid says he takes full responsibility for how the team played on offense.

"We'll be alright."

He said the defense did some good things

He’s said that all season.

He's said that his entire career. No reason to expect him to say anything different.

What do you expect a coach to say? These guys suck and can’t get it done?

It's past time for someone to say it

The guys have let him down but Mahomes needs to help himself.

Guys are open and he’s just not throwing the ball. He needs to hit his drop and rip that thing.

I think if he makes a concerted effort to throw some passes downfield within 2.5-3 seconds of the snap, we’ll start to see the other parts of the offense (run game, screen game, Mahomes’ patented extended plays) succeed as well.

Having a good defense is way, way less cool than having a good offense.

I want to go back to losing games 35-31 if that's what it's gotta be.

And Kareem Hunt. 2017 offensive roster was much better. All-Pro RT and Pro Bowl LT instead of absolute scrubs.

It was a lot more fun losing games that way.

Was that the presser for this game or the other 5 losses??

Bro, was just saying that earlier..

If there’s going to be an imbalance, let’s focus on getting weapons on the offensive side. Having an amazing offense is sooooo much more fun.

:spock:

Where did the other 4 points come from?

dlphg9 12-25-2023 03:42 PM

Yeah, I don't care about having a great D. I want a bomb ass offense. Way more exciting.

Wallcrawler 12-25-2023 03:50 PM

These parrallell passes stink of the Alex Smith offense.

They're ****ing disgusting.

That same play back to back bullshit to Kelce is some tryhard "biggest brain in the world" move

crayzkirk 12-25-2023 04:15 PM

I just wanted to know when Herm Edwards became the OC? I must say that it makes no sense calling WR screens when the defense is crowding the line and penetrating into the backfield with their down four on every play.

This was a repeat of the Broncos game, only worse. I really thought we would see a better performance today however this team has a slim margin for error and Saint Patrick seems to have lost his magic touch.
