We are locked into the 3 seed so what are the scenarios for the wild card game? Who do we want to play?

Hoping Buffalo loses next week and other teams win to knock them out of the playoffs.

I’d like the Colts or Texans.

Miami, Buffalo, or Indianapolis.

EDIT: Or Houston.

Colts or Steelers or Texans.

Not Dolphins or Bills.

We’re rooting for Miami next week.

Just need any two of the 9-7s to get to 10 wins or do we need certain teams to get 10 wins to knock the Bills out?

I prefer the Colts because we still owe them a few playoff losses. Don't know how realistic that scenario is.

Don't want T.J. Watt against our O-Line. I know we owned them several years ago but the Chiefs offense was much different back then. The Steelers are the luckiest team I've seen. Somehow they won 9 games this year.

Buffalo and Miami are scary because of their firepower. But neither team is great on the road. I'd rather not face them though in the first game.

Anyone but the Colts. Weird shit always happens with them.

So for the Bills to miss the playoffs they have to lose. But also Jags have to win. If those things happen it doesn’t matter if Colts or Texans win that game then the Steelers have to win their game. But for whatever reason playoff machine shows Bills as the 7th seed with a loss by the Jags.

It’s actually not that likely we face the Bills. If they win they are the 2 seed. If they lose it looks like best they can do is 7th seed.

If the Bills beat Miami, we're locked in on playing Miami in the 3-6 game.

If Miami beats the Bills, it gets very interesting. It could be any team of Indy, Houston, Pittsburgh, or the Bills themselves (the Bills scenario is if both the Jags and Steelers lose). The Bills could also miss the playoffs if the Steelers and Jags win their games.

Bill's will win. Miami is weak. Bill's are tough guys most weeks. Tua will crap his pants under the pressure.

Bills can be the 6 if they lose, the Jags lose, and the Steelers lose. It's a pretty unlikely scenario given the Titans almost certainly aren't beat Jacksonville but possible.

Pittsburgh not losing Ravens won’t play anybody good

Miami in R1 is great for us in my eyes. Tua winning on the road in the playoffs is very difficult to see.

Jags should win, so if the Bills lose just need Pitt to win and Ravens already clinched so that seems very possible.

Agreed, I think they win that one. Which is why I think our most likely opponent in the event of a Bills loss is the winner of Indy/Houston.

By my reckoning Bills will either be 2 seed or eliminated next week. Chiefs locked in at 3 can kick back in LA

So we can only play the Bills if the Jags lose (plus other things) so we need a Jags win which they do as well.

So the four games that matter, here is our rooting interest.

Jags @ Titans - Jags
Bills @ Dolphins - Dolphins
Steelers @ Ravens - Steelers
Texans @ Colts - depends on who you want to play. If the above three scenarios go in our favor to knock out the Bills, then the winner of this game is our opponent.

If the Bills lose I don’t see how they make it. The teams below them have cupcake games. Steelers win easy vs backups. Jags will beat Titans they have mailed it in.

Why are we locked into the 3 seed? If Indy wins and we lose next week, we both have the same records at 10-7 and conference records at 8-4. Is it our record versus common opponents?

Must be something like that. Neither the Texans or the Colts can be the 3 seed even if they win their division according to the playoff machine. One caveat, I’m not picking every game, just those with teams still relevant to the playoffs.

I can see them beating Indy and Miami (especially without Chubb), but Baltimore is playing on another level right now.

They're looking at a double-bye week, right when they were peaking in form. That's exactly what happened in 2019 when they looked unbeatable. Double bye weeks, and suddenly they came out flat. Tennessee whipped 'em. Something similar this season is not impossible.

If I had my druthers, the Dolphins would beat the bills next week. The bills would make the playoffs as the 7 seed.

In the playoffs we'd beat the Colts (or Texans). The bills would beat the Dolphins. We'd play the bills at home. The Jags or Browns beat the ravens and the Arrowhead invitational lives on.

Wouldn’t work that way. Ravens as the 1 seed would get the highest remaining seed. If the Bills are the 7 and make it to the Divisional, they’ll play the Ravens.

I think the Colts are the most likely opponent. Meanwhile, there’s a good chance that Baltimore will host Flacco in the divisional. That could be interesting.

Bills as the 7 seed may be ideal for us. They could feasibly beat the Dolphins and then the Ravens on the road to give us another Arrowhead Invitational.

So the bills beat the ravens. And we beat the Jags or Browns. Whatever.

Cleveland will beat whoever comes out of the AFC south and then have to travel to Baltimore, which would be an interesting matchup.
