What's everyone watching on Peacock this month?

Maybe binge watch every episode of the office?

Mephistopheles Janx 01-13-2024 10:39 PM

Brooklyn 99 is a must watch on Peacock.

Five Nights at Freddy's

Guessing a bunch of you would enjoy Yellowstone.

Rainbarrel 01-13-2024 10:40 PM

Fleasecock got not a penny

Delano 01-13-2024 10:40 PM

Twisted Metal is off to a good start.

backinblack 01-13-2024 10:41 PM

Poker Face was a good watch, if you like Columbo type shows

Eleazar 01-13-2024 10:42 PM

Premier League. There’s a lot of rugby matches on there too.

Oppenheimer is on there Feb 16.

There’s college hoops, college hockey, and rasslin’ on there too

ChiefsCountry 01-13-2024 10:42 PM

Probably watch some episodes of Ted

UteChief 01-13-2024 10:43 PM

I have Peacock through a friend. I can’t say I’ve watched anything since Poker Face ended.

backinblack 01-13-2024 10:47 PM

also I know it's like a relic from a decade ago but I was planning on checking out that Ted show.

InChiefsHeaven 01-13-2024 10:49 PM

Literally nothing. I looked, didn't see anything that stood out. Not to mention, there was serious buffering shit going on the whole damn game. **** them.

staylor26 01-13-2024 10:51 PM

Already had it, but I suggest Twisted Metal, Poker Face, and Ted.

TinyEvel 01-13-2024 10:52 PM

Oppenheimer debuts there exclusively February 16th.

Yep. one month and three days from now.

Get ready for the "keep subscribing to see Oppenheimer" emails every day for a month.

Bel-Air

TinyEvel 01-13-2024 10:56 PM

Will this game now be available on demand? Because I could watch that every day for a month.

George Liquor 01-13-2024 10:56 PM

I just watched the game on kmbc

We need YouPorn to host a playoff game

DaFace 01-13-2024 10:58 PM

We've subscribed for a while. The Office and Parks and Rec are my wife's comfort shows.

Okchief80 01-13-2024 11:06 PM

Poker face and Mrs Davis were fun shows.

Clyde Frog 01-13-2024 11:12 PM

- The Office (superfan episodes) - Its "only" the first 6 seasons but the longer cuts makes the show really, really dark and shines a spotlight on ancillary characters.
- Parks and Rec - Treat yo self
- Modern Family - Ed O'Neill and Eric Stonestreet kill and it's just funny background noise even if youre not paying full attention.
- Harry Potter Franchise
- Twisted Metal - Solid but not great
- House - Classic
- Brooklyn 99
- Jurrasic Park Franchise
- Shrek Franchise

Rain Man 01-13-2024 11:18 PM

I'll be watching the tears roll down their faces because I didn't knuckle under and pay their ransom.

ChiefsFanatic 01-14-2024 04:21 AM

Watch Wolf Like Me.

It is Sci-fi horror romancey sitcommy kinda thing.

I watched because I like Josh Gad and Isla Fisher.

There are 2 seasons, and episodes are like 30 minutes, and it is just an enjoyable watch.

If you don't like expressing your emotions, you should probably skip it though.

ptlyon 01-14-2024 04:25 AM

Okay not going to make another thread about this. But I like others here recorded the replay of this game on nfl network. Woke up and tried to play it. Started off with some douchebags yapping about shit. Then to the game. But it was the Cleveland game. Dish network even said it was the Chiefs game.

So F it. Look at the guide, sure enough, the guide says the Cleveland game but it's the Chiefs game.

The NFL trying to F anybody who did this? They inchoots with NBC? Wtf?

ptlyon 01-14-2024 04:29 AM

Or maybe a dish network issue. Don't know. But this is all ****ery.

DanT 01-14-2024 05:18 AM

I have had a longtime aversion to NBC Sports, going back to when they had the Sunday games where the road team was from the AFC and seemed more interested in showing commercials instead of replays of key plays. So, I was irked about having to use peacock to see this game, but after I installed it last week, I ended up watching quite a few shows on it, mostly Parks and Rec. They have a lot of shows I haven't seen but have heard good reviews about (including The Office and Brooklyn Nine-Nine) that I think I will sample, so I am thinking I might end up keeping it for a while.
They also have every Saturday Night Live episode, so I watched the very first one. It kinda sucked, actually, and made me think the thing that everyone who's ever seen more than two episodes of that show thinks when seeing an episode they hadn't seen before, which is that SNL is not as good as it used to be. ;)

I'm keeping it to cover my arse for the playoffs.

As soon as that's done this thing is going back where it came from. My stream was terrible and I had to refresh the page every 10 to 15 minutes because the video would freeze. Sound still came out fine but the video would freeze.

I tried Firefox, Opera, Chrome, didn't matter. And it wasn't my internet connection because it wouldn't do it in the bedroom on the PS4 at the same time.

I probably watch Coherence every other month or so. I still pick up some small thing I didn't notice before. The subtle but telling things like an unbuttoned shirt or a misplaced picture on the wall are rewarding...

That movie and Memento are the only 2 movies I watched again the second they ended. I need to watch Coherence again.

RedRaider56 01-14-2024 09:30 AM

The Continental was a pretty good series. I didn't like the last episode. A little too far off the rails for my taste, but it was a good precursor for the John Wick series.

Longmire is one of my all-time favorite shows.

Also, do not watch Coherence when you are high. Just don't. It will break your brain, and when you sober up, you will rewatcy it anyway. So, just watch sober.

Someone else said it, but you can watch it over and over, and catch something you never noticed before.

When I was high, I would make connections, and blow my mind, and then forget. I would watcu it again, high AF, and catch that same thing, get excited for a few minutes, then remember that I already saw that clue or whatever.

Pinchshot 01-14-2024 12:53 PM

Peacock doesn't even have a dvr attached to it. Can't record, pause or go back.

BigRedChief 01-14-2024 12:57 PM

Watched Poker Face and the John Wick spin off, the Continental. Loved both. Quality TV.

No, I am correct. Thee are tons of good things on Peacock.

Hell, the fact that you can watch the entire The Office, Brooklyn 99, and The Good Place, makes it pretty damn great for $6 a month.

I know not everyone is a romantic, but I always recommend Wolf Like Me. Josh Gad and Isla Fisher are great.

But, I am a huge Natasha Lyonne fan, so I also recommend Poker Face.

They have some other decent originals as well.

But the syndicate stuff is awesome, and they have some really good recent movies.

I think it's a better value than Paramount+ for originals. However, I personally loved the Halo series on Paramount+ because I have spent untold hours of my life playing Halo (I was once a 47) plus I am a huge, huge Pablo Schreiber fan.

He was absolutely perfect on Orange is the New Black, and he was my absolute favorite character on American Gods.

I watched that series a few years ago on Netflix and believe it is still on it. Great series.

I have been watching Las Vegas on Peacock. It is worth the watch just for the T and A, wow.
The Mrs. laughs and says its an old series, but I had never seen a single episode. She is right though, the cars and phones do date it some but the T and A is timeless.

On Amazon, you need to have added it to “my stuff” to enable the dvr aspect.

Not sure about Peacock. I did have the dvr options, but I had also added it to “my stuff” previously.

That is a pretty good observation, can't totally disagree with it. Kelly Reilly was the hook that got me a few years ago when it came out. You might throw in a little "Godfather" as well.

For me it gained more traction in season two if I remember correctly. I just re-watched the last two seasons thinking it had been competed but that won't happen until Nov 24 IIRC.

Good show. I used to work for the guy that Nick Nolte's character is roughly loosely roughly based on. Very fictionalized and a bit of an homage, but the set is dressed with lots of his real stuff, and his team did the animations. It was a great episode as fairly objectively as I can be.

It works well as a group watch with a fantasy sports style draft and points based on possible shitty actions by characters. We even use imdb to draft the guest stars in each episode too.
