***Other Divisional Round Games Thread***
Go Texans
|
Looking forward to both games
Making corned beef brisket for reubens, gonna be a great day! |
I'm hoping the Texans win it, but Ravens have been resting and it will be in Baltimore. I think the Ravens crush what hopes they have.
31-17 Ravens. |
3 weeks time since the Ravens starters played. They may come out rusty.
Texans are on a roll. We'll see |
Hoping for GB and Hou today.
|
Let's go TEXANS!!!!!
|
I feel ****ing sick saying this, BUT…
GO TEXANS! |
Texans - Ravens at 3:30 Central
Packers - Niners at 7:15 Central |
will get to see most of the first game. None of the second game.
|
HOU vs. BAL will tell us a lot about Lamar and how comfortable he really is in his new offense. Should be a good game.
Expecting more of a blow out in the second game. |

I'm all for a good Reuben, but let's not get all crazy with the cheeze whiz here. |

Three games, all TD+ point spreads. I hope we get at least 1 entertaining game, if not 2 or 3.
I'm not really buying the Texans on the road but it'd be awesome to make it 6 straight Arrowhead Invitationals. |
Two hours of pre-game. I watched 5 minutes and feared I'd unknowingly commit to a time-share if I watched further
|
LETS ****ING GO!!!!!!!!

I think that was an ode to Beck |
Eagerly looking forward to calling the Ravens frauds

Mostly agree with this, where 6-8 are about in the same realm and then 1-2 is in a class by themselves.
I'd probably put Lamar #1 though in terms of needing to win... I think people probably remember Allen's chances in the playoffs over Lamar's, but bowing out as the 1 seed in the divisional twice would be pretty awful. <blockquote class="reddit-embed-bq" style="height:316px" data-embed-height="618"><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/19bhege/which_qb_has_the_most_to_lose_this_weekend/">Which QB has the most to lose this weekend?</a><br> by<a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/maxandgeorge/">u/maxandgeorge</a> in<a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/">nfl</a></blockquote><script async="" src="https://embed.reddit.com/widgets.js" charset="UTF-8"></script> |
Would like to see the Ravens lose again as the #1 seed for 2 reasons:
1) It's funny. 2) Arrowhead Invitational |

If Houston can jump to an early lead… all the pressure mounts on Playoff Lamar.

All the pressure is on Lamar today… and if they start out slowly… he’s going to feel that pressure and the angst from the home crowd. |

I don’t know how good he is. |
I hope the ravens get cooked
|
If you don't know how good Stroud is you haven't been watching his games.
His accuracy is Doc Holliday level |
….and now, here’s a murderer’s take on the game.
|
Ravens better start hot

I still can’t get over how Ray Lewis is respected despite being an accessory to murder.

Idk who has more pressure...Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson?

Josh Allen has at least played well at times in the playoffs.
Lamar has played like shit in the playoffs… even in his only playoff win to-date. All the pressure on Lamar. |
Game in SF gonna be sloppy. It's supposed to rain the entire game

I agree that a Reuben is a great sammich, what is the consensus on the #1 sammich? I know some don't like rye bread or thousand island dressing. Any must have really good swiss cheese and sour kraut.
Oh yeah, it would be nice for the Chiefs to end up in the AFCC for six straight seasons and at Arrowhead, however one thing at a time. |

This girl Parijita Bastola live near you?

Playoffs for 2018: Down 14-0 to Patriots at Halftime. Chiefs scored 31 points in the second half. KC would have won the game in regulation if not for Dee Ford offsides penalty. Current rule would have given Mahomes a chance to touch the ball in Overtime. Playoffs for 2019: Down 24-0 to Houston in 2nd quarter, but end up winning the game 51-31. Down 17-7 to Tennessee in 2nd quarter, but end up winning the game 35-24. Down 20-10 to San Fran in 4th quarter, but end up winning 31-20 in the Super Bowl. Playoffs for 2022: Down 24-14 to Philly at Halftime, but end up winning 38-35 in the Super Bowl. |
Good call by Houston to get the ball first… jump to an early lead.
|
That anthem was beautiful. A10s are my favorite planes.
|
Hard not to like CJ. Go Texans.
|
Ravens ain’t allowing that

As to the #1 sandwich - BLT, hands down. |

Stroud had 2 guys open here why did he run?
|
Slide late like Josh Allen and get a penalty.
|
Running into the kicker uncalled there

Wow some big time Oline holding going on...
|
make up non call
|
I wish there was a Manningcast for this game so I didn't have to listen to Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. They are the worst.
|
Just keep hitting Lamar.
|
JT is pretty clutch
|
Tucker is greatest kicker I've ever seen.
|
excited to see CJ settle down and get in the groove
Texans could bring the Arrowhead Invitational back lets go!!!!!!! |
Good start for Houston defense. Need to keep Christian Harris as a spy tho
|
Pulling for the Texans and want them to win. It’s gonna be tough as Baltimore is solid across board, but they are not unbeatable.

Texans wont be able to run, they gotta let CJ carve them up
|
man the ravens D is so good
|
That defense is swarming. Nothing is easy for the Texans.
|
Great play on 3rd down by Stroud & Singletary. That feels like a play where a Chiefs receiver would have dropped that one, sadly.
|
Texans are gonna get smoked by 30 which is a shame
|
move that ball
