Go Texans

Easy 6 01-20-2024 10:35 AM

Looking forward to both games

Making corned beef brisket for reubens, gonna be a great day!

neech 01-20-2024 10:40 AM

I'm hoping the Texans win it, but Ravens have been resting and it will be in Baltimore. I think the Ravens crush what hopes they have.

31-17 Ravens.

RunKC 01-20-2024 10:53 AM

3 weeks time since the Ravens starters played. They may come out rusty.

Texans are on a roll. We'll see

In58men 01-20-2024 10:59 AM

Hoping for GB and Hou today.

TLO 01-20-2024 11:20 AM

Let's go TEXANS!!!!!

Coochie liquor 01-20-2024 11:54 AM

I feel ****ing sick saying this, BUT…

GO TEXANS!

Bowser 01-20-2024 11:56 AM

Texans - Ravens at 3:30 Central

Packers - Niners at 7:15 Central

displacedinMN 01-20-2024 11:58 AM

will get to see most of the first game. None of the second game.

Megatron96 01-20-2024 12:04 PM

HOU vs. BAL will tell us a lot about Lamar and how comfortable he really is in his new offense. Should be a good game.

Expecting more of a blow out in the second game.

Why Not? 01-20-2024 12:04 PM

I ate Reuben’s all weekend long last week. Made right, it’s one of the two greatest sandwiches ever concocted.

I'm all for a good Reuben, but let's not get all crazy with the cheeze whiz here.

If you’re using cheese whiz, you aren’t making it right.

CupidStunt 01-20-2024 01:06 PM

Three games, all TD+ point spreads. I hope we get at least 1 entertaining game, if not 2 or 3.

I'm not really buying the Texans on the road but it'd be awesome to make it 6 straight Arrowhead Invitationals.

Rainbarrel 01-20-2024 01:12 PM

Two hours of pre-game. I watched 5 minutes and feared I'd unknowingly commit to a time-share if I watched further

TribalElder 01-20-2024 02:25 PM

Mostly agree with this, where 6-8 are about in the same realm and then 1-2 is in a class by themselves.

I'd probably put Lamar #1 though in terms of needing to win... I think people probably remember Allen's chances in the playoffs over Lamar's, but bowing out as the 1 seed in the divisional twice would be pretty awful.

Would like to see the Ravens lose again as the #1 seed for 2 reasons:

1) It's funny.
2) Arrowhead Invitational

Their QB’s played perfect games last week. ESPN graded both of them 98/100 in the QBR metric last week. If they do that again, both underdogs have a legit chance today. But it’s hard to play a perfect game two weeks in a row.

FloridaMan88 01-20-2024 02:55 PM

If Houston can jump to an early lead… all the pressure mounts on Playoff Lamar.

It’s hilarious that Stroud & Love have the same amount of Playoff wins as Lamar. And Purdy has more Playoff wins than Lamar. Jackson has been around long enough as a starter that he’s gotta live up to the hype at some point…or be forever labeled a choker.

And he’s played horribly in the playoffs.

All the pressure is on Lamar today… and if they start out slowly… he’s going to feel that pressure and the angst from the home crowd.

If Stroud really is great this could be a good game.

I don’t know how good he is.

I hope the ravens get cooked

Kiimo 01-20-2024 03:14 PM

If you don't know how good Stroud is you haven't been watching his games.

His accuracy is Doc Holliday level

Idk who has more pressure...Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson?

I mean Lamar has an MVP under his belt, but Josh is always getting the megahype........

FloridaMan88 01-20-2024 03:23 PM

Josh Allen has at least played well at times in the playoffs.

Lamar has played like shit in the playoffs… even in his only playoff win to-date.

All the pressure on Lamar.

RunKC 01-20-2024 03:26 PM

Game in SF gonna be sloppy. It's supposed to rain the entire game

Hmm. Not sure if that favors anyone but I fear SF if so.

crayzkirk 01-20-2024 03:28 PM

I agree that a Reuben is a great sammich, what is the consensus on the #1 sammich? I know some don't like rye bread or thousand island dressing. Any must have really good swiss cheese and sour kraut.

Oh yeah, it would be nice for the Chiefs to end up in the AFCC for six straight seasons and at Arrowhead, however one thing at a time.

Definitely. KC has been in that situation with Mahomes, but responded in a strong manner every time:

Playoffs for 2018: Down 14-0 to Patriots at Halftime. Chiefs scored 31 points in the second half. KC would have won the game in regulation if not for Dee Ford offsides penalty. Current rule would have given Mahomes a chance to touch the ball in Overtime.

Playoffs for 2019: Down 24-0 to Houston in 2nd quarter, but end up winning the game 51-31. Down 17-7 to Tennessee in 2nd quarter, but end up winning the game 35-24. Down 20-10 to San Fran in 4th quarter, but end up winning 31-20 in the Super Bowl.

Playoffs for 2022: Down 24-14 to Philly at Halftime, but end up winning 38-35 in the Super Bowl.

FloridaMan88 01-20-2024 03:33 PM

Good call by Houston to get the ball first… jump to an early lead.

cmh6476 01-20-2024 03:33 PM

Jewish seedless rye, not that pretty but subpar marbled crap. Frank’s is the bare minimum for a decent kraut. For thousand island, I’ve pretty much gone Ken’s Steakhouse across the board my dressings. Sargento Swiss if not something out of the deli counter.

As to the #1 sandwich - BLT, hands down.

Lamar for sure. I think McDermott has more pressure than Josh Allen. If Buffalo loses, McDermott gets fired. Josh isn't going anywhere.

RunKC 01-20-2024 03:36 PM

Stroud had 2 guys open here why did he run?

dannybcaitlyn 01-20-2024 03:37 PM

cmh6476 01-20-2024 03:43 PM

excited to see CJ settle down and get in the groove

Texans could bring the Arrowhead Invitational back lets go!!!!!!!

RunKC 01-20-2024 03:44 PM

Good start for Houston defense. Need to keep Christian Harris as a spy tho

tredadda 01-20-2024 03:45 PM

Pulling for the Texans and want them to win. It’s gonna be tough as Baltimore is solid across board, but they are not unbeatable.

DRM08 01-20-2024 03:49 PM

Great play on 3rd down by Stroud & Singletary. That feels like a play where a Chiefs receiver would have dropped that one, sadly.

Vladimir_Kyrilytch 01-20-2024 03:49 PM

Texans are gonna get smoked by 30 which is a shame

displacedinMN 01-20-2024 03:50 PM
