Chiefs-Ravens Final Injury Report
I'll admit this doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Chiefs?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Chiefs</a> at <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Ravens?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Ravens</a> Injury Report - Friday <a href="https://t.co/M2JcqW9pjH">pic.twitter.com/M2JcqW9pjH</a></p>— Nick Jacobs (@Jacobs71) <a href="https://twitter.com/Jacobs71/status/1750987780535042419?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">January 26, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> P.S. Megathreads suck. |
|
we'll just have to start breaking their players when the whistle blows
|
Nothing too surprising there

Gay is the biggest uncertainty.
Pacheco is playing, Edwards seems on track to play. |
Little strange that Gay was LP, LP, then DNP today. What’s up with that?
|
Would be nice to have Prince on the active. Oh well.

Ravens are getting Andrews and Humphrey back. We're losing Willie Gay and Thuney.
Ouch. |
Definitely doesn't look good for us.
Oh well. We ball. |
ok we only win by 7
|
Mahomes + crippled team > Lamar Jackson + full strength team

|
Thuney not even dressing could be a massive problem.
|
At least Skyy is out, so that’s a win. Wish they would have done the same with Toney for good measure.
|
While this isn't a super fun report, it's fairly likely that the injuries which do or don't happen during the game will have a greater impact.
You can plan around these a little. Not what happens after the ball is kicked off. |
Somebody sell me on Nick Alagretti

If Lamar could read he’d be happy about that injury report.
|
Last year at this time both Mahomes and Kelce had injury issues so it could be worse.

No excuses for the Pigeons..............

He is better in run support vs pass support. The biggest issue he is playing inside. Both the center and LT won't know his tendencies as well as they knew Thuney. I could see the Ravens attacking the left side of our line pretty hard. |

Sucks potentially not having Gay. Thankfully we have Chenel and Tranquill.

He's not Wanya is basically what I'm saying. |

Pass blocking will take a hit, but we might be able to open some big holes for Pacheco with those three interior linemen. |

Is the calf listed for Sneed new this week? I don’t remember seeing it last week and not much talk about it…

Calf is what almost held him vs. Cincy.
|
OL doesn’t fill me with confidence against that D. Not too worried with Allegretti. Wanya Morris is gonna have his toughest task yet. Gay is much needed. Obviously we need Pacheco badly. Next man up I guess……..

Gotta win, no excuses. We knew the gauntlet, keep your lack of warm and fuzzies to yourself.
|
One of these lists is certainly not like the others
But who cares, we have Mahomes and a genuine Next Man Up culture thats been built up and curated over the course of many years These Chiefs do not believe in those kind of excuses at this point The Ravens beat the crap out of almost everyone this year, but we fought through all kinds of horrible growing pains to get here... you tell me which team is more mentally tough and resilient  |

Nnadi and Thuney being out raises my anxiety level 45.6%

All in All we are pretty healthy this year. Just not quite as healthy as the Ravens, but overall not to bad.
|
Nnadi to IR, Darius Harris added to the active roster. Not sure if that says anything about Gay or not.
|
We have a healthy playoff Mahomes on two good ankles. He’ll bring it home.
|
National media won’t notice we are hurt. They want us to lose so badly.
|
Quote:
If he’s really hurt what can you do? |
Hoping that they force Andrews in and he’s still injured/not up to sharpness. Likely is a great number 2 TE who is playing well so strangely I’d like to see him off the field. Those two could do some damage against us though…
|
Meh no big deal having guys practice with nagging injuries

He has started quite a few games at LG, and he has never been the reason Mahomes got hurt, and he has never been the reason we lost a game. For a backup, he is about as solid as you could ask for. I think he even turned down more money and/or a chance to compete for the starting spot, because he really loves playing in KC, and playing with these teammates. He will fight is ass off for the team, and I am here for it. |
Quote:

Toney’s career in KC is over thankfully.
Can’t wait to see what he inevitably cries about with his version of what went wrong on social media. |

I need to take the test to see what I would get. After the season I was worried about the injuries. But it is tough to keep people out when you are winning and this close. GO CHIEFS! |
Quote:
Also, his contact is guaranteed, so we literally save $0 by cutting him. |

Well that makes sense. Not what we expected
|
No wonder his hip hurts.
|
How many legs does Mahomes have for this game?

League circles indicate Lamar Jackson will play despite having significant chronic cognitive impairment.

Let’s hope Toney doesn’t drop the baby.
