Harlan and Kurt Warner are a good listen on Sunday/Monday night games as well on Westwood One radio.

I can't remember the game they did but I was bored with it so I was listening for KC bias, that other broadcast teams are terrible at hiding (especially anti-KC bias), and they called it pretty square.

Which as a KC fan, **** that stroke my ego, but as an NFL fan, I appreciate. Unfortunately, doing an excellent job and being unbiased won't get you big money, so click meisters will go over the top because...****.

I'm a fairly large Harlan fan. And I hate announcers.

Sidenote: **** Joe Buck for sure, but if I'm being honest both him and Aikman have been FAR better after movnig to ESPN. The other broadcast companies should take some notes and self assessment.

I don't mind Joe Buck. I think he does a decent job, but his call of Damien Williams' game clinching TD run in the Super Bowl was one of the all-time worst.

ETA - Olsen is terrible.

Aikman is ranked way too high. All he does is chuckle like Dr. Hibbert and say the most obvious bullshit imaginable.

Oh yeah. For sure. I'm no fan of Buck/Aikman.

But to me it's undeniable that they're both better after moving to ESPN. Admittedly better than shit is still bad, but it was interesting to me.

I love harlen and Trent. God I hate joe buck and Troy boy. Also I like Romo even thou he screw the pooch sometimes.

A little surprised that Aikman and Buck ranked 1st considering how angry the comments about them are in any GDT.

Personally don't have an issue with them myself. Aikman's been decent/better the last couple three years.

I don't really get why people like Olsen. He's not insightful or entertaining and spends way too much time openly rooting for teams. He's not very different from the current Romo tbh. He was bad in the Superbowl last year.

Heh. One of my best friends absolutely loathed Dierdorf. I never really understood why. But anytime we watched a game he was calling I was sure to hear the words "**** you Dierdorf!" yelled about a dozen times. LMAO

And it’s not really close. Another one that I always liked was Gus Johnson.

Now for old school ones, I always liked Summerall and Madden and Keith Jackson for college football.

I have Joe Buck ranked at No 1 for swallowing Aikmans babies. They suck ass as a team.

That said, Ian Eagle is really good. Charles Davis is less bad than he used to be. I'd have Harlan/Green at 1 and Eagle/Davis at 2. And if Olsen could just stop bitching about flags thrown or not thrown he'd be really good as well.

But as it stands I just can't handle his calls because you know he's going to spend 1/3 of the broadcast creating a narrative around the refs.

Olsen and Aikman miss stuff that clearly contradicts what they say.

It's all about as subjective as something gets of course. People loved John Madden but I couldn't stand him. Everyone seems to hate Joe Buck's guts but I think he's fine.

I've always liked Collinsworth, but not long ago I noticed something I hadn't before. He will take something that JUST happened and make it sound like it's been going on all game long or will happen non stop the rest of the game. For example if a defense stuffs a run after giving up 5 ypc he acts like the D has been stuffing the run all game. It's like he's not completely paying attention to everything.

Of course that hack job he did on poor Jawan Taylor is unforgiveable, so he's probably #1 on my list of announcers I don't like to listen to.

Kevin Harlan is my favorite though, like most people I think. There's nostalgia there for Chiefs fans of a certain age, plus he's got the cadence down, he knows when to get loud and when to just let the play happen. He's the best.

All I had to do was see Aikman and Buck in the top 5 to know this list is invalid. If I want the audible version of paint drying? Sure.

In an exciting game these are the absolutely last two you want to hear. I'll even take Romos slurping over it. They make an F sharp sound like a B flat
