Football Podcasts You Like
Wanted to gather some fresh ideas to try to lump into my podcast routine. I listen to some of the Chiefs specific ones, but I generally like to branch out and get the league-wide stuff in for the non-biased POVs.
Comment below some favorites of yours. Mine right now are: - Green Light with the Long brothers - The Athletic Football Show - 3 & Out with Middlekauff - What's Wright w/ Nick Wright What am I missing |
I like Packast with Tom Grossi. Sure, he's a Packer's homer (he was nominated as their NFL Fan of the Year), but he's pretty level headed and fair with his commentary/predictions (unless you like the Vikings, or as he says, "The Purple Incarnation of Satan").

“Yeah, I Just Don’t Know. I Don’t Think The Chiefs Have What It Takes to Get It Done.” with Adam Teicher
|
I like New Heights. It’s more entertaining than in depth analysis, but still good.
|
Only weird games, 41 is the mic and kc lab are my preffered specifics. I like Chris Simms unbuttoned, NFL stock exchange and Bussin with the boys is usually good but I get burnt out on it like Mcafee. Geoff Schwartz is smarter than you is good but idgaf about gambling and thats about half the show. And the fantasy footballers for fantasy.
|
I pretty much watch YouTube clips of the usual talking heads discussing the Chiefs. Between this board and sports talk radio I’m too burned out to listen to a podcast.
|
NFL Stock Exchange is my favorite draft podcast. Don't really watch any others.
|
Arrowhead pride and KCSN
|
I know some people want to separate watching the game as a gambler vs a fan. But the dudes at the Action Network are spectacular and you gotta like guys who have to be totally unbiased because the minute they bet on emotion vs logic, they lose a shitload of money. Real pros, not just social media posers.
Simon hunter and Chad millman have a podcast called The Favorites. And they're really damn good. |
I've been a Russillo guy since the SVP days. He fancies himself an NBA guy, but I typically appreciate his football contract except when he interviews morons like Willie Colon or Damien Woody, but I like his pod.
I also tune into Bill Simmons on Sunday Nights. He has his buddy Cousin Sal on and they've been doing guess the lines for a long time. There are some really funny degenerate gambling jokes, and typically some decent football insight that I don't hate, especially since the Brother****ing Cheatriot ****bags now suck it is much more listenable. For whatever reason, nobody else has the "lets look at these games through a long time gambler perspective". I like it. I watch New Heights on YouTube because it's funny to watch them play off each other. I love Kelce. Sometimes I watch the JT OSullivan stuff when he breaks down Mahomes. It's pretty good content. I used to listen to Middlekauf, but quit. He got kinda hot takey. Maybe I should give him another look. Same with Simms. It was good when he was with Bleacher Report, but once he went to NBC, something changed and I can't put my finger on what, but I stopped. I like Chris Long, but I don't reguarly listen. Maybe I should. I don't know that I'm going to give Wright a look. He seems to me to want to exist in the Steven A Smith/Skip Bayless universe except he cheers for the Chiefs. Maybe I'm wrong on that, but whatever. I need to give the Athletic one a look. |

Ben Maller show over everything.

What happened to that Leftkoe guy that had the podcast with Chris Sims? I liked that guy

new heights and McAfee is about the only two I ever watch.
I cannot stand Cam Newtons and the clips keep coming up because I watch other football ones, he thinks he looks cool and hip with the stupid outfit. |
None?
|
PMT (barstool with bigcat and PFT) and Dan Patrick Show. Those are my main ones. Not necessarily football but I enjoy them.

New heights and Pat Macafee
|
I enjoy The O Line Committee. They are more NFC North leaning, but i like their insights. They also do game film breakdowns that I learn a lot from. When they reviewed the play where Thuney was injured, they both were right on it saying torn pec.
|
New Heights
Only Weird Games I mainly watch the other shows on youtube. |
I like the draft dudes but more for information than entertainment if that makes sense. Pre draft season is the best podcast season for this imo. Prospects to pros and stick to football were some of my favorites but they’ve broke up.
I also enjoy expanded perspectives for story telling/cryptid/paranormal for a change up sometimes. Edit: the draft dudes are locked on chiefs scouting now. |
As I read through this thread I’m realizing that I’m probably in the minority of people whose primary media is podcasts. Podcasts and CP are probably 90% of my media consumption.

His "If the NFL was rigged" and "team reacts" skit videos are always entertaining. Also, I like his co-streamer, sad-sack Broncos fan Brandon Perna. |
National:
The Athletic Podcast (the one with Robert Mays and Nate Tice) The Ringer (the one with Ben Solak and Shail Khapeda) Local: AHPKC, the Lab, and Only Weird Games on KCSN Show and BK, Editor's Show, and AP Out of Structure on Arrowhead Pride |
I used to watch McAfee, but now just FF through it looking for interesting guests.
My YouTube recommendations pull clips that are fairly relevant to what I like. Today it brought up the Chase Daniel breakdown of Mahomes against the Ravens. That was 20 minutes of my time that was well worth it. |
New Heights
The fake wanna be GMs like Arrowhead Pride are just as bad/annoying as the posters on here who do that shit |
Green Light
PFF (love Trevor Sikkema's draft stuff) RGR KCSN Arrowhead Addicts Whatever Wright does Chief Concerns (Jason Dunn's podcast) Perna and Grossi's stuff Middlekauf Chris Sims and Ahmed (whatever their pod is called) |
The Athletic with Mays and Tice is the best (their other offerings are good too but not at that level)
Chris Simms KCSN Arrowhead Addict when Verderame is on PFF The Ringer stuff was best when Ben Solak and Steven Ruiz were paired together - now they’ve split them up and it’s a little less good |
Well got called into work on a sunday. That really messes up my Podcast routine. Now i've got the next 9.5 hours to check out suggestions on here. Excellent timing Pugs.
|
i don't know if they consider it a podcast, but RGR football with ryan and dan on youtube is great. it's chiefs only, but i don't really care for most general nfl podcasts.
|
Nick Wright.
Nobody else. |

Not a lot of talking, but great fapping rhythm. |
Simms did another good pod that came out yesterday. Looking forward to Wright's that should come out soon.
KCSN guys are doing a good job thus far with the previews. |
The lab without Craig has been really meh so far. I know they don’t have much to talk about.
Only weird games without Nate was.. better? At least just as good imo. 41 is the Mic is the tier 1 chiefs pod imo now. |

I haven’t listened to anything from the Lab since the draft as it’s all kinda meh without the 3 of them together without real content. And I think OWG is borderline insufferable most of the time. |

The last OWG I listened to was Nate's first after a vacation and they didn't have Seth. It actually wasn't bad. He didn't do his idiotic riffing where it takes him 5 minutes to pretend to have a fake conversation.
I love Craig Stout, but I do like Kent and Matty when they are forced to get along. It's not as cringey when Matty isn't trying to act like the cool kid in the cafeteria to impress Craig. I guess I need to try out 41 is the Mike. I keep seeing people mention it. |

I was daily on Arrowhead Addicts before their time change as well. Really like Verd's stuff. |
I've been watching How Bout Those Chiefs on YouTube recently. Pretty good and he digs deep for all things Chiefs. It can get a little repetitive, but it is the off season.
|
Would be a good thing to have Chiefs Kingdom get Tom to 1 million:

What am I looking at?
As far as off season pod casts NFL Stock Exchange is probably my favorite pre draft pod. |

An anonymous Chiefs Fan, gave a Packers Podcast 25K for a charity drive... |
Listened to Verderame again today, he's driving me ****ing nuts with his takes since the Super Bowl.
He made the case that we should sign Cam Robinson, Trey Smith, Davante Adams, and Hollywood Brown. Which sure we may have the money to do, but bruh, we have to preserve the defense a little here too or it's going to be ugly in the next couple years. You can't lose all those defenders and expect to be anything better than a bottom 12 defense. |
