I was more concerned about the Buffalo game than this one.
Would not be surprised if the Chiefs win by 10 to 14. Our defense shuts them down. The offense runs the ball down their throats. Would love to see Pacheco earn MVP. He has been the "little engine that could" all season long. |
I think it'll look close on the scoreboard but will be a controlled game by KC similar to vs Baltimore.
CHIIIIIEEEEFS |
You're asking for my prediction? Pain for the 49ers!

I'm pretty amazed he came back from shoulder surgery so quickly. I've know people that were sidelined for 3+ months from work from the same. The man is a machine. |
I believe we will see something along the lines of 24-10... Chiefs ofc lead all night...
|
I voted Chiefs WIN in an easy win (8-14 points), but the game will be close until mid-way into the 4th quarter.
Game stays close, KC's D keeps the 49ers offense in check but does give up 2 big plays, thinking a McCaffrey screen for 30 yards or Aiyuk gets a chunk on a pass play. Other than that, the 49ers are kept in check. At about 7:30 left in the 4th, Rice scores on a 12 yard hitch and dices up the 49er D for a score. KC's pass rush takes over and sacks Purdy for a 8 - 12 yard loss on a key 3rd down. On the next drive, Rice scores again on a play action pass, putting KC up 2 scores. In desperation, Reid picks Purdy to ice the game, KC kicks a late FG to seal it. Final Score; KC 38 - 49ers 17 Red & Yellow Confetti rains down MVP; Rice 8 catches for 148 yards, 2 TDs |
Be stunned if this game doesn’t come down to one score. For those predicting a blowout I’d simply ask based on what?
|
31-23 Chiefs
With all the hate they're getting, would any of us be shocked at a 14+ point blowout? |
I think we will get enough stops on 49ers offense to win. I think we will see efficient, decisive Pat and the 49ers just won't be able to keep up. We may also get an INT on Purdy.
All of our optimism rests on that we see playoff Chiefs and 49ers instead of regular season, and I really see no reason why that shouldn't be true. |
They'll get garbage time and we'll run it out slowly per the usual. I wish that wasn't the case and Andy would open the playbook and crush them, but he wins a lot of games so who am I to judge. Just win it please.

Chiefs are going to blow them out. It won't even be closed. NFC teams suck.

I think the Niners jump out to a lead. Shanahan is a great run game designer and he finds ways to use McCaffrey and Samuel to gash us. We go into half time down by a score. Our offense keeps pace, but the Niners get more possessions than us. They are riding high going into halftime with a score of 20-13
And then Spags adjusts. We come out and put up a TD to tie it. It's back and forth with both defenses shining through the 3rd and early 4th quarter. Mahomes is sacked a few times to kill drives, the Chiefs force a red zone fumble slowing the Niners push. Punts, punts, and more punts. Purdy plays admirably but the pressure mounts and Trent McDuffie gets his first ever INT...a Pick 6. Chiefs by 7. The Niners get the ball back with 7 minutes to play, a make or break drive. The Niners are driving on a few chunk plays, crossing the 50 with just under 5 minutes to go. The Chiefs get a first down stop on a run play and then a sack on second down. Purdy under heavy pressure from a free blitzer (Sneed) throws another pick to Mike Edwards. The Chiefs run a brilliant 4 minute clock killing drive ending with a 45+ yard field goal and less than a minute to play. On the ensuring possession, Chris Jones bats a pass, and then Karlaftis gets a sack on 2nd down. The Niners, out of time outs clock the ball. On 4th down, Purdy has no one to throw to and under immense pressure from the rush scrambles and slides for a first down. But the clock runs out and Brock Purdy turns back into a pumpkin. Chiefs win 30-20. Travis Kelce catches 8 passes for 105 and a TD against really good coverage from the 49ers Linebackers and wins MVP. Taylor Swift comes onto the field afterward and grouchy old people and non Chiefs fans lose their minds. |
Chiefs in a blowout.
Not because I think the Chiefs are much better, but because of the level of complaining the 49ers have done unprecedentedly before this game. I think it's going to piss Reid and co off. |
I got KC winning a nail biter, 35-0!!!!!
|
We win. NFL won't let the Swifties lose.

I am pretty confident the Chiefs win. McCaffrey going ham is about the only path I see for the 49ers. Every other way, the Chiefs are superior, in the locker room and on the field.
It's going to be close to the Ravens game, I think. The scoreboard will say the Chiefs win by a score, but I think the Chiefs will largely control this game after Shanahan empties his initial clip by the end of the first quarter. 49ers make a late score to make it look like we won by a score, but that's it. |
I feel oddly confident in this game. I was far more worried about the Bills and Ravens than I am about the 9ers. Guess we'll see.
|
Madden has us winning 30-28 per NFLN
Butker misses an extra point. Rice and Kelce have a big game. Mcduffie with an int McCaffrey comes out of the closet that he's gay |
Purdy starts slow as he has done these past couple of games, The Andy Reid script results in a long 9-10 play scoring drive that sets the tone for the rest of the night.
KC defense stifles Cmac, placing all the pressure on Purdy to make throws under intense pressure, and he cannot answer. Mahomes will lead methodical drives down the field, controlling time of possession to further remove the run game from the 49ers options. Chiefs take this one 24-10. |
I see the 49'ers leading by three at the half. Due to some halftime adjustments and the 49'ers DBs getting gassed from playing more man coverage than they are used to, we pull away in the 2nd half.

Chiefs win 27-20. 49ers get a garbage TD in the last 6 minutes of the 4th quarter to make it seem like it was close. Defense seals it with a pick after Mahomes drives the offense down and kicks a FG to make the lead 7.

I’ll go 31-24 Chiefs.
I’m guessing it’ll be around 17-10 at halftime. 49ers tie it in the third, but the Chiefs immediately respond to go up 24-17. 49ers try to do too much and turn it over. 31-17 Chiefs. Chiefs then have another opportunity to go up more but make an error to let it get closer than it should’ve been. Late TD by the 49ers. Chiefs run out the clock. |

KC wins: 27-17 or 31-10
|
Chiefs 23-17
San Fran scores fairly late making the final score look like a closer game than it really was. |
Chiefs 28
Brokeback 9ers 24 |
Most NFL games are close. This one will be too. We should win because even though Purdy will play a much better game than many posters here expect, Mahomes will still be the better quarterback. Also, we have a huge advantage in Butker. Top notch field-goal kicker is always critical in close games.
I don’t understand how posters can disrespect the 49ers so much and think they will get blown out. We do have an elite defense. But they have more top skill weapons than any team in the NFL. No team, including ours, has a better top 5 than Aiyuk, Debo, kittle, CMC, and Williams. And they have a quarterback that after this game will probably finally get the recognition He deserves, as being among the league top QBs. their defence isn’t as good as KC for sure, but they have some toP quality players there as well in Bosa, Warner, and Ward. Their only real weakness is DBs. We are lucky that Hufanga is on IR. We should win for the reasons I said in starting this post. That’s assuming the football gods stay neutral. But if the football guards decide to line up with San Francisco, like they did against Detroit, then we could even lose. Hopefully they stay neutral. |
31-19 is my score prediction
4 TD's + 1 FG Chiefs 2 TD's - 1 missed XP (rookie kicker) + 2 FG Niners |

They have a zone static defense that literally requires dudes to be superman. They have a QB who is mistake prone and has actually gotten worse in the playoffs. Thier OL is 1 all pro and a bunch of bums, their interior OL has been torched in the playoffs. |
On a 6-sided die, a roll of 1-4 Chiefs win. 5-6 it's the 9'ers. I'm not saying that's how to prognosticate the game, but I'm giving it 67% Chiefs.
|
I got KC winning, but it will be close. Not that any of our opinions will have any impact on the game, but I know Buffalo and Baltimore fans were as sure they would beat KC as many on here feel about SF.
|
31-17 Chiefs.
If you put pressure on Purdy he will fold. You don't even have to sack him. Just shrink the pocket and get your hands up. |
24-14 Chiefs....17-14 Chiefs at half.

Idk where else to put this, but BEP sent this to me via rep for some reason.
SF isn't really a good match-up for you based on weaknesses and strengths of aspects on how each team plays. You may have beat the Ravens but your still only averaged about 4.4 yards. |
Hated losing, but it was a good game. Congratulations to the Chiefs.
