**** you Charvarius Ward!
This deserves it's own thread.
Ward during media week: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">What’s it like being on the 49ers instead of the Chiefs? <br><br>Mooney Ward: <br><br>“It’s better over here….In every way possible.” <br><br>: <a href="https://twitter.com/JordanDajani?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@JordanDajani</a> <br><br> <a href="https://t.co/3xLwlriKM4">pic.twitter.com/3xLwlriKM4</a></p>— OurSF49ers (@OurSf49ers) <a href="https://twitter.com/OurSf49ers/status/1754718865643430196?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 6, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Kelce's response: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Kelce telling off the traitor Charvarius Ward <a href="https://t.co/J9yHg7E3In">pic.twitter.com/J9yHg7E3In</a></p>— ️ Red Tribe Cinema (@ClayWendler) <a href="https://twitter.com/ClayWendler/status/1757594246578688134?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 14, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> "You like it over there, huh? That shit's better on the other side, huh?" **** this ungrateful shitbag. We got you a SB and got you paid pussy. |
Wow, I hadn't seen that.
The guy was never the sharpest knife in the drawer, but that takes him to a new level of stupidity. |

The Chiefs #7 is far more impactful
|
Couldn't agree more, eat a bag of dicks and enjoy losing, shithead. You probably wouldn't even be in the league if it wasn't for this organization taking a chance and developing you.
Poetic justice that he was one of the guys involved in watching Mecole stroll in for the game winner. |
I’m getting tired of having to hate our old players.
Just because you go somewhere else doesn’t mean you have to become a huge douche. Makes you think Reid is just damn good at keeping idiots in line. |
"It was great in KC. I appreciate the opportunity they gave me."
See, that's easy. |
kelces response was perfect lmao
****ing little ungrateful bitch we gave you the shot that would eventually get you paid and you're seriously still talking shit? without us you are probably buried somewhere on some shitty depth chart and out of the league by year 3. **** you ward |
I USED to like Ward, but he's dead to me now. Enjoy your participation trophy bitch!
|
Yeah it’s alway better to watch your former team win multiple Championships without you… Dumbass..
|
49ers players were caught on the mics talking a ton of shit.

Ego can be a bitch, but his should certainly have taken a blow after this past Sunday. |
Even Tyreek has walked back the sh*t talk on the Chiefs. Ward should learn a lesson.
|
Chris Jones has more to ponder, for sure
|
Posted this in another thread. Andy hears that shit. You think Andy isn't a cocky, vengeful sonofabitch when he needs to be? Bc he sure is.
He purposefully won the game by pantsing Ward. He embarrassed him and made sure he'll never forget it. The Tom and Jerry playcall purposefully put Mecole on Ward's side. The play design pulled the LB's up for a QB run that Patrick did a few plays earlier in the drive. Andy put Ward in the impossible spot of 2 vs 1. He stayed with Kelce so Mecole was wide open. If he went to Mecole, then Kelce would be wide open to win the game. That's why Kelce didn't even look at Mecole when the play happened. He knew it was over the second Ward followed him. And then Kelce laughed in Ward's face. Andy can be a spiteful mothr****er sometimes LMAO <div style="width:500px;max-width:100%;"><div style="height:0;padding-bottom:58%;position:relative;"><iframe width="500" height="290" style="position:absolute;top:0;left:0;width:100%;height:100%;" frameBorder="0" src="https://imgflip.com/embed/8ftkg2"></iframe></div><p><a href="https://imgflip.com/gif/8ftkg2">via Imgflip</a></p></div> |
Dude was bitching about being helod DURING the contact, over and over again instead of...you know...trying to beat the block.

I mean I guess Bosa could go blast Hardman out of the route but really, what else can be done? And Richard Sherman made an excellent point - Ward probably didn't know where Hardman even was. When the CB sees a guy go in motion and then kinda disappear behind the line, he just has to guess where the guy is going. With as often as Reid has that motion continue, Ward HAD to guess that Hardman would keep going and Kelce was his guy. If he guesses that Ward is going to come across and leaves Kelce, he's equally dead to rights. And by the time he sees Hardman pop back out of the formation on his side, it's too late to do anything about it. It was as close to an indefensible play as you'll see against that coverage. I mean - what the hell do you even do to stop that play? |
Logan Ryan (who was playing NCB all night) is the only guy that I think can defend that play and that's where the confusion between him and Ward comes in. It looks like Logan took one little false step trying to see through the traffic and that was all she wrote.
So I guess that's the answer - your NCB has to be Trent McDuffie and power through that traffic without missing a beat to bring him down as he makes the catch. But it looks like Ryan takes just a half a heartbeat when Kelce looks like he may be throwing a block and that was enough to let Kelce get to Ryan's outside, forcing Ryan to go inside and around Kelce and create the space needed for Hardman. All that could've stopped that play was Ryan completely selling out at the snap to get outside, coming over top of Kelce and into that space. Warner never had a chance (and appeared to maybe be spying Mahomes anyway) so it came down to Logan Ryan. |

****ing Kelce, man - just pure decoy and knows it as soon as Ward slides over to him. He throws his hands up at the snap to deke Ryan into thinking run then takes two strides before he watches it unfold on the jumbotron. That guys a football savant. More than even Lamar Jackson. |

I've never seen anyone meander in space on a screen pass like he did there. And so Mahomes had to just dirt the ball because they were about to end up with an ineligible man penalty since the OL had started blocking downfield and the ball had to come out. When you can't even be trusted to run a !@#$ing screen correctly, you really can't be on the field. Thankfully the staff finally realized that. Because if he were out there for Hardman on Sunday, we very easily could've lost that game. |
"It's better over here in everyway.........................except the winning part."

And hell, the timing from Hardman was pristine - without breaking back at the perfect time (just as Ward would've lost him behind the OL), that play doesn't work. Maybe Moore muddles through it somehow but that's not an assumption I'm willing to make. We've seen him fail on simpler concepts too many times. |
Id rather live in California than KC

I forgot all about this guy.

Ward was probably just running the company line. And maybe it is better. Training camp is probably easier. Rat SR was doing no pad practices way back in the late 90’s to keep players fresh while Marty was still doing the Oklahoma drill at Chiefs camp.
But whatever he has to say doesn’t really resonate with me. His DC PUT HIM in no man’s land on that last play and Andy, forever the strategist, obliged him by forcing Ward to choose between losing options. Ward. I say his name and think “whatever”. |
You can't blame Ward for chasing the money.
The comments are a different story. He could have answered the question more modestly, even if he enjoys everything more at his current location. |
Meh, I'm not throwing any hate. Charvarius helped us win a Super Bowl, and he's obligated to talk up the company that's currently giving him a paycheck. And all-pro or not, he wouldn't be starting above McDuffie and Sneed if he had stayed.
I'll just look at our third Lombardi in five years and feel zen about the whole thing. |
What time does the parade start in SF today, I'm sure it will be a better one?
Oh wait........ |

California is awesome, but everybody knows it's awesome, and everybody wants to live there. Thus it is overcrowded, expensive, dirty, noisy, and the traffic is terrible.
It's a great place to visit, or a great place to live if you're rich. Otherwise don't bother. |

Hopefully we hit on a burner with a large catch radius in draft and you have in no particular order Rice, Watson, Hardman, Draft pick, James as back up and returner. Keeps the rotation to 5 which is where we kind of found ourselves at the end of the year. The key is getting lucky in the draft. |

Kelce is not even blocking Ward. He knows Ward can’t get over there so he’s just enjoying watching it play out on the Jumbotron. lol
|
I guess if Kelce saw Mahomes scrambling, he'd start running around. Not sure I've ever seen a player use a jumbotron like that, other than when they're running back a long return.

Kelce chirping at Ward mic’d up was awesome. I wish Kelce would have lit him up yesterday when he was on stage…then again, maybe he did and I just didn’t understand him during his incoherent blackout drunk ramblings ROFL

I barely even remember Ward playing here. I remember Breeland more than Ward, and he was only here for 2 seasons.

Ward was a great deal for us. We got him from the Cowboys late in the season for peanuts and he came here and flourished. He wasn't shutdown like we have now with Sneed and McDuffie, but he was a definite upgrade. |
