Loved me some animated X-Men as a kid. Seems like even Disney can't screw this one up too badly. |
That theme is rad.
So was Gambit riding Wolverine into battle while charging up his claws. And “TO ME, MY X-MEN”. Ah, love it. |
**** yes.

That theme brings back all the nostalgia. I probably went through 1,000s of AA batteries on my game gear playing the X-men game.
I didn’t hate the second generation of the X-men movies as much as the public, but I’m hoping they do it justice going forward |

They did a great job with the casting of McAvoy and Fassbender. That’s for damn sure. Still, both trilogies (as well as the Logan movies) have been underwhelming overall. They really need to stick the landing with this next shot. |
That Wolverine voice is rough, not sure which of the original voice actors they got back, Scott sounds pretty spot on. I'll watch it for sure, was my favorite cartoon back in the day next to Batman, Spiderman and Superman.
|
Wolverine, Rogue, Beast, Storm, Nightcrawler and Mister Sinister are the original people doing the voices. I read that the guy that originally did Cyclops actually died in 2020 so that's why he had to be replaced.
It's also been like 30 years since the original show was on the air so that's a lot of age on those voices. |
Cal Dodd is still voicing Wolverine so I'm not worried about the line from the trailer. I'm sure he'll be on point for the series. Overall, I'm amped!!
|
I must say. It appears Disney has learned something from pushing their woke agenda!
Ope. Just kidding. Morph is nonbinary (seriously) I don’t care that much, and will still watch. But they will just never learn. |

|
Oh hell yes.

It’s not stopping me from watching, and enjoying it. But there’s a good number of people who will see the headline and say **** that. They are not gaining a single fan by doing this, and it will for sure turn a bunch of people off. I want to see X-men succeed  |
It’s hilarious that people are pissed about a nonbinary X-men character when that’s kind of the whole point about them being mutants.

The franchise has been rife with social commentary since its inception. There are clear parallels to real world racism, xenophobia and LGBT acceptance at pretty much every turn. The entire thing is clearly a metaphor for the Civil Rights Movement complete with analogues of Martin Luther King Jr (Professor X) and Malcolm X (Magneto). The movies aren’t subtle either. If you remember Iceman first telling his parents he was a mutant in X2 (“Have you tried not being a mutant?”); that’s obviously a play on the unique LGBT experience of “coming out”. X3 dealt with the mutant cure which could easily be interpreted as an allusion to real world conversion therapy. Idk, man. It seems obvious to me. You seem sincere but you’ve really gotta pick your battles sometimes. I don’t think this is the one. |

It was always kinda funny that they made all the female models look pretty similar tbh outside of Jubilee.

I was thinking about that regarding Rogue earlier though. Why was everyone in love with her? Jean and Storm were both stacked as well. Jean also had the redhead thing going. |

****, Marry, Kill: ****: Rogue Marry: Jean Kill: Storm |
Just nail the Gambit voice, that's all I ask.

Wonder if it's an arc with Mags leading the X Men in the absence of Charles. This could be insanely awesome.
If it sucks, I can just pretend it doesn't exist, like I've done with almost everything after Avengers: Endgame. |
Quote:
As a kid, Jean seemed older and when I'm 12 years old, I don't recognize the advantages associated with same. I mean now - yeah, i'm betting Jean knows some moves. But yeah, the ****/marry/kill lays it out pretty well and I don't really even see room for argument. |
Do you really want to be married to a telepath?
And I’m not sure I’d want to risk ****ing a chick who could kill me by touching me. In order to knock boots with her my whole body has to be wrapped in Saran Wrap and at that point I’m not sure I see the charm. Might have to marry Storm, **** Jean and kill Rogue. |

Because...I mean...that might be neat. |

Deal breaker for me. Dude was the most 90's character ever created. Nothing but casual seggs, luck as a damned power, and the most glorious mullet that has ever existed on top of black leather. |

So.. Morph can imitate mutates powers too?
How is he not the most OP ****er in the verse??? |

Well based on all the comments I guess I better check this out, figured they were just looking to make a quick nostalgic buck but it sounds like it's legit.

This episode was ****ing bananas. Can't believe they went there. I was skeptical going in, but this has more than exceeded my expectations. I'm not usually a cartoon/animated guy, but if it is done well (Spiderverse, ATLA, this) I'll def watch it.

In all seriousness, I do love having him around just to be able to get some different looks each week. From memory, we’ve seen Colossus, Lady Deathstrike, Quicksilver and Hulk from Morph alone. That’s pretty awesome. Quote:
