There's the WHO?! pick.
|
Craig Stout loves this guy.
|
Fine
|
Creed’s eventual replacement?
|
Stout says he's versatile and can play all over the interior. One of his favorite picks.
|
Move Creed to G?
|
It's your Allegreti replacement.

We did need IOL depth. That’s 3 of my 5 needs.
Need that big DT and RB now. |
Maybe Trey/Thuney replacement
|
Yes! I hope the goal is to let Creed walk
|
Swiss army knife... Allegretti replacement.

Perfect swing lineman at the very least. Probably long term LG or RG.
|
Lance Zerilein had this guy as a 4th rounder and he's pretty good with OL.
|
My first ‘oh no’.
Only because I saw center, and I know we have a choice to make between Creed and Trey. I know nothing about him though. Maybe he can play guard  |
Do not resign interior lineman!

Nice pick- good value
|
ESPN Radio's Jordan Reid loves this pick. Nourzad played left tackle in the Ivy League and both guard and center at Penn State. Only allowed two sacks in his college career.
|
He played tackle at Cornell. Definitely the next Allegretti. Great versatility.
|
Nice. Wanted IOL here and this is one of two that seemed like a really good fit.

Draft is pretty much done. Veach just nailed it this year.

Another position (IOL) that checks the box. :thumb:

Just another very good, very smart pick. |
He's played multiple positions in the interior but C was his best. The Chiefs love to pull guards/C in the run schemes and that appears to be his greatest strength. He's definitely not a heavy footed plodder. Dude can pull and create wide open lanes on the edge.
Solid, we needed a swing interior linemen. |
I love that we are actually discussing a 5th round pick and immediately are talking about who they replace. Man having a great GM just kicks arse. I remember sooooo many years where I stopped watching around the 3rd round because "none of those guys ever make the team".
|
Thuney is a possible cap casualty next year, no?

Main takeaway from this Draft is that Brett Veach & Andy Reid are taking care of Mahomes. Two OL to help protect him and two weapons to help the passing game. |

We are more likely to resign both than to let both walk… but I’d guess Trey walks As much as Mahomes likes to get out of the pocket, I would rather have an elite interior over elite tackles. |

Little crazy to say iOL don't matter...
Jason Kelce? Just to name one. |
I'm sure this guy becomes Allegretti 2.0 at worst and if you got that for five years, that's phenomenal.
But maybe he's 2025 RG, too. |
I was just thinking we might need some interior o-line depth with Allegreti gone

Take from that what you will. |
I don't like his height but only giving up two sacks while playing nearly every position on the OL speaks for itself.
|
Seems like a complete fit here, Andy & Andy do loves them some OL versatility

Not that the iOL doesn't matter, and if BV can reload with later picks great. But it's legitimate to ask how much it's worth to sign second contracts for. |
Quote:
I would still imagine they value Creed over Trey |
Sorry to keep bringing up Thuney, but.... can't his contract be split across Creed and Trey? Or at least go a long way for retaining both?

It’s definitely possible. |

I’d extend Creed now. And Trey is the guy who walks after next year, or you tag him for a season. Who knows. But you are stupid if you think we are going to walk away from Thuney, Creed, and Smith. I think you keep the center in place. See how Trey does.

LMAO I'm no expert, Dante... but it seems pretty clear that losing Thuney's contract absolutely could help keep Creed and Trey around |
Good player. Just needs some roids and time in our NFLPA rated F- weight room.
