Look how empty those seats are LMAO

scho63 05-02-2024 12:16 PM

He can still do better now than Skyy Moore

scho63 05-02-2024 12:19 PM

I remember that game well......

Rain Man 05-02-2024 12:23 PM

He seems like a great guy.

He was my favorite skill position player in that era of Chiefs history. I think he may have been the best third-down receiver in Chiefs history until Tyreek came upon the scene.

RedinTexas 05-02-2024 12:45 PM

Still the third most receiving yards in a game.

siberian khatru 05-02-2024 12:47 PM

What a nice video.

Anthony Hancock congratulating Paige. What a bust he was.

WilliamTheIrish 05-02-2024 02:07 PM

What a good dude. That's a great video. Didn't realize that he ran a auto detailing place post career.

And yea, Anthony Hancock was a true bust.

scho63 05-02-2024 03:12 PM

Charlie Jones was a great broadcaster. Loved his voice.

Pitt Gorilla 05-02-2024 03:22 PM

Always loved Page, including on Tecmo Bowl.

Bump 05-02-2024 04:02 PM

He was just before my time.

Hammock Parties 05-02-2024 04:25 PM

why does he look like eddie kennison's baby daddy?

Al Czervik 05-02-2024 05:10 PM

What a great Chief....

Stephone was clutch!!!

Thanks for posting

BWillie 05-02-2024 05:12 PM

My favorite play on Tecmo was the flea flicker pass to Paige

Graystoke 05-02-2024 07:06 PM

Great video. I remember that game and it helped ease the pain of a crap season.

DJay23 05-02-2024 09:00 PM

This happened just before I started really paying attention to sports. I remember collecting football cards the next season and there was a special card for this game.

scho63 05-02-2024 09:40 PM

I loved Stephone Paige, Carlos Carson and Henry Marshall during the 80's

Could that kid with the glasses?

What a great positive message at the end on selflessness. You can see his energy is genuine.

cdcox 05-02-2024 10:50 PM

I was at that game. Maybe the only time I sat on the northeast side of the stadium. For some reason, we always sat on the southwest side.

record breaker!

ChiefsFanatic 05-03-2024 05:53 AM

I wanted to watch it, but every time I see anything with Paige, he just preaches about God over and over, and honestly, I don't need a single person in the entire world to tell me anything about their God, their religion, etc. No one. Just STFU. If I wanted to hear a sermon, l would go to a church.

So, I skipped this.

How many times did he talk about God?

Oh, I remember that. He was pretty good on that game. Tecmo Super Bowl.

I remember very little of Page because I didn't really get into pro football and the Chiefs until their resurgence with Marty Schottenheimer started in 1990. So, I guess I saw him one or 2 years.

Life must really suck for such a negative person as yourself.

Heck, even Clay had no problem posting this.

That’s exactly the first thought that came to my head was that Paige is almost as good as Jerry rice in tecmo bowl! Lol…. Chiefs are really good in tecmo bowl if you switch the plays and feature Paige…. Derrick Thomas on defense and the Nigerian nightmare plus Paige!

Gary Cooper 05-03-2024 11:58 AM

Flipper Anderson had 336 yards receiving in a game in 1989.
Norm Van Brocklin passed for 554 yards in a game in 1951.

I'm amazed these two records still stand in today's passing era.

|Zach| 05-03-2024 12:05 PM

Really cool to see football videos without them having shitty effects and needlessly being shoe horned into a Star Wars theme.

I did not know about the 1951 one. That sounds insane I have to know more about this game. LMAO

I get annoyed when people put religion into everything too, and you tell that Paige is religious. But the stuff he said in this video was done in a very friendly way that wasn't pushing it on anybody. He just seemed like a nice guy with his own beliefs.

My understanding is that was the opening game of the season. Plus, he completed fewer than 30 passes that game.

It's a 73 year old passing record that has no business still being the record in today's pass happy league.

I'd like to read more about 1950s football. There was a short period of time where the offenses were just insane. I think the record in points per game in NFL history league wide is still from some year in the 1950s. I have no idea what rule might have prompted that or what system might have prompted that.

It'll be pretty cool to see this record broken in the upcoming season.
