LMAO Nice return to his old Edgelord persona.

Dunerdr 06-03-2024 09:05 AM

I thought he was a rapper. I guess I need to check out his magic act.

Titty Meat 06-03-2024 09:13 AM

Shut your whore mouth.

I’m here for the Gen Z meltdown

Good lord he made it like 4 seconds before referencing MGK. I prefer he inject himself into the Kendrake thing.

Rain Man 06-03-2024 09:46 AM

We need a NSFMI (Not Safe for Musically Inclined) tag so I don't accidentally click on rap music.

ghak99 06-03-2024 09:48 AM

There's so much potential with a move like this, but that felt like a soft ass old man made half an attempt, and failed. If it's not a soft intro into what's next, it's a big yawn for me.

He was doing the horns way before MGK, it's not a reference to that kid.

loochy 06-03-2024 09:51 AM

This is why I don't go to rap concerts

Have you ever intentionally listened to any eminem music? If not, I would find it amazing and educational to assign you 7 songs by this artist and ask for your opinions on the lyrics and a ranking, if you would feel like entertaining the opportunity.

Katipan 06-03-2024 09:54 AM

I try to be openminded, so give me seven of his songs and I'll listen to them. My only rule is that none of them can be rap.

staylor26 06-03-2024 09:57 AM

Eminem is the mother****in GOAT, but old rappers are just cringe.

KCUnited 06-03-2024 10:05 AM

Nickelodeon rap

Apple Music declared the Miseducation of Lauren Hill to be the most important album of all time.

You should start there so you know music nerds are crazier than Star Wars ones.

He is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame so none of his music is rap :D

They're unfortunately probably going to be rap, however I'd really love to see a RainMan certified review of these songs. Would put a smile on my face.

From His First Commercial Album :
1. My Name Is (His introduction to the Rap World in 1999)

From after He found fame and success

2. The Way I Am
3. Stan
4. Cleaning Out My Closet
5. Sing For The Moment
6. When I'm Gone

Post Drugs(and best friend dying) :

7. Going Through Changes

Bonus terrible song from his drug years, but it features your moniker

8. Rainman

ToxSocks 06-03-2024 10:20 AM

Meh, i liked it enough. I haven't really listened to an Eminem single since "Rap God". Maybe i'll check the album out when it drops.

KurtCobain 06-03-2024 10:36 AM

IS INVINCIBILL AN EMINEM FAN??!?!?

MY DUDE!

I love the lyrics to Stan.

BWillie 06-04-2024 12:47 PM

I liked it.

Brings back good memories. When I was in high school I downloaded all of his songs like a week or two early on Napster or Morpheus. Then sat outside an FYE and sold them until they ran me off.

Boxer_Chief 06-04-2024 01:04 PM

What made Eminem Eminem was the fact he didn’t care what anyone thought, he would say the most controversial things. Today he would’ve been cancelled, major gay bashing, murder and sexual abuse references, and things you wouldn’t dream of saying out loud. He had to be tempered down a bit now, but still like him throwing some of that in this song again.

Refried 06-04-2024 01:04 PM

Eminem was dope, up until about 7.5 years ago.

DCTwister 06-04-2024 01:06 PM

It's fine. It's an enjoyable song, and Eminem's historical greatness is hard to argue. But it still just sounds like a tribute to himself and his old music, sounds the same. He doesn't have much dynamic range.

KurtCobain 06-04-2024 02:18 PM

I was hoping to find Rain Man's eminem reviews in here when I saw it bumped.

I'll start soon. First I have to listen to a bunch of Springsteen and Boston and Fogelberg to build up my ear.

Technically it's Jay-Z's song, but this is Eminem at his absolute best:

https://youtu.be/gbefvqyM1rA?si=nVFbC7isnjxgWoLy

In fact, Eminem was so good on this track that Nas said "Eminem murdered you on your own shit" in a diss to Jay-Z. It wasn't even that Jay-Z was bad, he just got destroyed by the GOAT.

Em’s not my GOAT but agree on the second part. Tough to take these old rappers seriously when they’re rapping about shit they did (or saw someone do) 20-30 years ago. Marshall struggles because he was always edgy and that doesn’t work as well when you’re close to 50.

I guess rap can work well in old age if it’s more conscious but otherwise the genre is a young man’s game.

Girl, you know you better watch out (for bankruptcy in Lauryn’s case)

teedubya 06-05-2024 10:12 AM

I thought the portal opening up from 2002 and old Eminem coming through was clever.

He'd be sooo canceled into today's culture. LOL.

I chuckled. I read the lyrics before I watched this, so I'd understand it a bit better.

Killer Mike would be a perfect example of an outlier.

Dude is old, but he can still spit.

The older I get(mid-thirties) and still enjoy dick and fart jokes, the less I find anyone cringe because of age and immaturity. Society tells us to "grow up", but why? If you find it funny, put it out there. Some might too. Be yourself, regardless of age.

Accidently down voted meant to upvote. Great post.

I was attempting to give him a list of songs(minus the first one) that are somewhat thoughtful and maybe have rock undertones. Looking to maybe create a fan not scare him off.

Throw in My Name Is and I’ll agree with you. Never saw the appeal in those two hits.

Oh, and Love the Way You Lie. **** that song too.

Lyrics aren't really music it's just somebody saying some s***. For example Kurt Cobain had some great lyrics but most of his music was s***.
