I can’t decide who’s worst, Alta or Lynch. Great time to show your worth(s). It’s like they are all terrified of the Yankees.

I’m just venting right now. But why is no one mad at Vinnie for missing that bad bounce at him at first base. Maybe I’m wrong, I just don’t see it in him. I don’t know.

This team would be foolish to give up prospects they aren't going anywhere in the post season

They probably aren't making the playoffs anyway.

They don't really have that many prospects to trade for someone who is going to make a significant impact on this season. I would stand pat and listen to offers for anyone not named BWJ.

They need to sign some free agents next offseason. John Sherman needs to open up the checkbook.

This can still be a good season - they're just not ready to be true competitors.

I hate to be a pessimist, but it is simply reality. If we make the postseason, this is a preview of how we’d fare.

Kman34 06-12-2024 07:06 PM

This just shows how far away they are.. Couple more years..

Why Not? 06-12-2024 07:13 PM

Yeah. There’s no shame in having 56 wins one year and not being able to hang with the best team in the AL the next. Royals are gonna end up much improved and may even nab a playoff spot. But they have a ceiling and it ain’t beating the Yankees in the AL champ series, that’s for sure

Al Bundy 06-12-2024 07:18 PM

When you start shit ass, talentless, gutless pitchers against a team that mashes them, this is what you get.

dlphg9 06-12-2024 07:20 PM

Why is a guy that hasn't pitched in 3 years and the 2 years before his injury had a 5+ ERA each season even on our ML roster? Dude should have been a farm guy.

Lynch almost has 2 seasons worth of starts and has a career ERA over 5. His career WHIP is 1.5. They should toss his ass in the bullpen and see what he can do in there. Bubic should have gotten the last couple of starts.

cabletech94 06-12-2024 07:23 PM

Lynch=Ass.

dlphg9 06-12-2024 07:26 PM

Oh and btw you all are a bunch of idiots. ****ing whining and crying that this isn't a playoff team just based on a bad stretch. This is by far the toughest stretch they have all year. They're still 3 games up for the wild card spot and only 5.5 games back for the division. They still play the division winner like 14 times.

Stop being whiney ass pussies for ****s sake.

poolboy 06-12-2024 07:31 PM

MLB is psyched out by the Yankees...Stroman and Poteet?,,,if they were on any other team we would be barreling

Here is what I will say. The Royals player are flat out intimidated by the Yankees, Q is definitely scared of them. Tonights game was a throwaway game for him, he doesn't believe he or his team has what it takes to compete with the Yankees. He should just admit it post game.

Daniel Lynch is absolutely awful

TomBarndtsTwin 06-12-2024 08:09 PM

Royals are a good young team that seemed a little ‘ahead of schedule’ this year.

They’re still a good young team.

They just don’t belong among the elites yet. And that’s okay.

Still think they’ve got a good chance of snagging a WC this year. And I wouldn’t be totally shocked if Cleveland collapsed at some point.

Long season still . . . .

This team is fun when they’re on, which has been a lot this year. Enjoy them.

No I'm just saying usually he chimes in with something insightful just wondering what he thinks

crayzkirk 06-12-2024 08:13 PM

I don't know if the 2014/15 Royals would have done any better against the Yankees. Fortunately, they were knocked out before the Royals would have faced them. Some teams just don't match up well against others. The Yankee hitters have a lot more discipline at the plate and wear our pitching out while the Royals hitters get anxious and start swinging at everything which just makes it easier on their pitching.

As long as the Royals don't face the Yankees in the playoffs; they are fine.

Starting out games behind at home in the first inning is never a good start. It takes the fans out immediately.

Starting pitching is fallin, who can stop loss this bs

tk13 06-12-2024 08:44 PM

Yankees are about to be 49-21. That's not just good it's great. It's a 113 win pace. We definitely weren't up to the challenge in this series. Also our lack of depth overall is still a thing, Salvy's been slumping and Massey and Renfroe got hurt just as they were heating up and the Yankees hitters have worn the pitching down. They're still near the top of the league in runs and have a good rotation. Hopefully this has been a good learning experience.

ChiefsCountry 06-12-2024 08:49 PM

Royals can literally go .500 the rest of the season and will make the playoffs more than likely.

What holes? They have one of the best offenses in the AL. They have the best D in the league. The starters have been great for pretty much all season. The relief pitchers aren't good, but we can get a good one or 2 at the deadline

Are you willing to trade away all of the prospect the Royals have for some relief pitchers?

Al Bundy 06-12-2024 09:10 PM

BTW I really hate the Yankees and I am super disappointed the Royals from the manager to the players are intimidated by them.

Teams don't trade away all there prospects for relief pitchers. We could give up a top 10-15 guy and get someone decent.

Seth Lugo is 9-2 with a 2.36 ERA. He hasn’t been great his last two times out but he’s far from pathetic.

The good news is this brutal stretch we've had of playing playoff teams is almost over.

After the Dodgers we won't have one of these stretches ever again.

End of August we have 3 vs the Phillies and 4 at Cleveland. Followed by 4 at Houston (who aren’t great so far this year but until they are officially dead for the season, I wouldn’t count them out.
